We survived 51 inches of water. It was apocalyptic. Still suffer a little PTSD when storms come. We still have folks repairing their homes. Thanks for reacting to this. So many total strangers came or sent help it was amazing.
You can see Tim's mother and members of their church giving a helping hand. I think
they are in the green shirts. Agreed that this
is yet another reason to support Home Free.
Thanks for your reaction. Be well.
This is exactly why I love Home Free so much... These five gentlemen are so outstanding and so big-hearted..🏡🆓🏡🍟
Harvey was so bad, I was blessed I didn't get flooded, Houston was mostly under water. When this stuff happens you just help whoever and however you can. God Bless Texas. Enjoy
As a Texan I would like to thank Homefree for their kind donations of talent & time in our time of need! Just one more reason Homefree are my chosen guys! Love them! Great reaction!❤🤠❤
Can’t imagine the toll this takes. Yeah, the mold, the dry wall that’s damaged, the floors, appliances, furniture, electrical, all of it has to be replaced. It’s overwhelming. So nice to see the help. There have been tornadoes lately in the south….just awful stuff. Always wonderful to reach out and help. Good reaction Saucey. 🥰
The last major hurricane that hit North Carolina pretty much wiped out the chicken, pork, and beef/milk farmers. Folks from other places were vilifying the farmers for not rescuing all of their livestock, giving absolutely no thought about how one was to go about the process. Farmers had hired every truck they could find and both farmers and truckers were working around the clock trying to get out as many as possible. And, then, after losing so much of their livelihoods, they had to go in and clean up all of the remains. For some reason, NC was blessed with hurricanes, tornados, AND earthquakes!
My brother lives in Texas. Fortunately for him he did not get affected by this hurricane. He was lucky. I can't possibly imagine what those poor people went through! Love your reaction!
Damn good song !!! And Home Free doing great thing for our people in this country
Their goals was to collect 75k...if I remember right donations surpassed 200k and they donated some of the money to Florida ...who also got hit hard at the same time! One more reason why we love these guys!
I was wondering how much was raised. I'm so glad it was to go so far. I know people that went from VA down to help and said how bad it was.
The church that was mentioned is Tim's mother. His sister and his mother were helping with this. They did so much good with this song. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song and video.
These boys are so amazing. It speaks volumes that they are helping hurricane victims in Texas.💗
They've performed this live & it IS incredible. They engage the audience & its super heartwarming. Add it to your list! 😉🥰🥰
Home Free just can't stop from helping.
I Love these guys they use their huge talents for good. They are so genuine❤
I loved that they took the time to do this. It's a awesome video
They raised so much money that they passed their goal and were able to send money to the next hurricane in Florida too.
Living through Harvey was otherworldly. I've gone through other hurricanes, but I have never seen anything like that. The forecasters were literally saying that it was beyond their scope of experience and they couldn't tell what was going to happen.
This made me cry the first time I saw this right after it was released. Thank you for your reaction to this. Love the heart of Home Free and you too Nick.
We were lucky. 51 inches of water and the water came up to within inches of our front door. I love these guys and my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ for helping out. My husband also grew up in the Beaumont area.
It's a damn good song. This wasn't about the hurricane or the damage. It was about Home Free doing something to add a little happiness to the dread.
Nobody talks about Harvey anymore but it was mind blowing. We took of ourselves down here though.
Thx Nick ~ 🖤🍟
Thank you Denise!
I lived off a major highway in texas and saw a line of lifted trucks towing boats so many people were heading to the disaster zone to help! Boats rvs monster trucks semis full of relief aid! Heart warming.
This Texan loves Saucey Dad!!!
So awesome that they did this. Of course they sounded great as always. There are parts of New Orleans that haven't been rebuilt since Hurricane Katrina, and it's been almost 20 years. Of course the more touristy areas were rebuilt first, like the historic French Quarter.
This was such a good video, incorporating not only the destruction and the cost in human terms but also some humor (the man doing a beer run). For all the people involved to have donated their time, energy, talents and 100% of the profits was so generous!
Thank you for this reaction and for taking the extra time to try and point out the damage and impact Harvey had on that area.
Another reason we love Home Free!
God bless our boys❤️❤️❤️
GO HOME FREE!!!
What a gorgeous song!! You two make a great duo. She has a beautiful voice, and you are without a doubt my very favorite singer in the business today. Voice of an angel. I will always be your adoring fan.
I went through Harvey near Galveston Bay, and that's how I found these guys. I've been through Alicia, Allison, Ike, Rita, as well as some smaller storms -- when the next hurricane comes, I intend to use this song as a pick-me-up and reminder that we'll get through that one, too.
I can't believe you're just now getting to this one. Luckily they had minor issues. I still get chills and goose bumps listening to them sing while watching the video. Good on Home Free. Thanks for highlighting this one SauceyDad!!!!!
Re-watching this in March 2024 is the first time I notices Dena and Emily Foust's names at the end of the video. That's Tim's mom and sister. I know I was catching glimpses of Dena here and there.
i’m from Houston (don’t live there now) but many friends lost everything
yep, it was wet. You can't imagine it. You have to experience it. Luckily, we were out of the flood plane. Every hurricane season, we hope this doesn't happen. Not to mention that water was crawling with fire ants, snakes and other assorted wildlife. Not only wildlife, they were evacuating horses and cattle from certain areas.
I remember this flooding. It was crazy. I'm just a few hours from there, in central Mississippi. You mentioned your basement. Not many homes have basements this far south. These hurricanes are no joke. I'm almost 200 miles from the MS Gulf Coast and we had a lot of damage when Katrina came through in 2005. Most of my family is in S Miss, along the coast and into Louisiana. It was really bad.
ONE FOR THE ALGORITHM. CHEERS!!
You pick up together and go forward.
❤❤
Guys did Tim write this song I just thought seeing its his home State 💙
The older people in wheelchairs were being rescued from a flooded senior living facility. 😢
The animals in outdoor pens and fields where trapped and many where lost also
Would much rather have a fire than a flood. When the fire is done it is all gone, floods have years of recovery if you ever do recover.
