Where did you find dual gauge track? Thats a great idea though. I'm on the hunt for some PreWar 3/16" American Flyer too yours looks and runs great. Are the cars sheet metal or die cast?
Personally, I think NY state, where I live, can give any state in the union a run for the money for first place in corruption. I will allow that while you may be right, but it is a photo finish with numerous horses at the finish line. Most sadly indeed.
Maybe back in the days of Boss Tweed and Tammany Hall-----but I do agree--who doesn't love a good horse race??----I do love American History--The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, and look for no moral high ground when reading about it----Just remember---Many times good men do bad things.
Every good man falls short in the best of times and is coerced to fall short by the testing of circumstances in worse times. I do have to say that George Washington was one very unique man at a most critical juncture. I think I heard them say he had only one tooth when he led the army. At least that was what they said when we visited Mt. Vernon. God rest his soul.@@stevendouglas6594
In your earlier life, you must have been a machinist, judging by the knowledge of a lath. The trolley project is coming along nicely, more than I could handle. Rumor has it that Joe and Cornpop derailed the Circus Train and made off with all the Box Office Receipts.
LOL---No--to tell you the truth--I know nothing about a lathe---I just bought one and play with it, but I do have a friend who now LOTS--he's the one who's showed me how to bend and roll sheet metal AND he has a very large machine shop---ya learn by doing and asking questions. I've got no wife, I've got no dog and the kid moved away----I'm as free as a bird I guess.
Great mechanical / machinist work on your projects. Very interesting to me. And, nice train run !
I like the Railroad

I made the 5 rail track and the 1 gauge 3 rail track on the elevated. All the 3/16 cars except the cattle car are tin. The cattle car is die-cast.
Testing 1 2 3
