Good discussion, brought out a lot of things I hadn't thought about. Just want to point out, as an avid WNBA fan, that the league doesn't play a 3-month schedule as one of the panelists stated. The season starts in May and runs through September (which is still short compared to the NBA, etc.). The preseason is compressed and I think each team plays only a couple of preseason exhibition games, and many players are still overseas. One piece of positive news is that that each team will play 40 games this season and the playoff format that was launched last season was very successful. The CBA that went into effect last season also boosted salaries across the board, though it's still lucrative to play overseas. I think the league is on the right track and it's just a matter of time before it reaches profitability. The product is definitely there. IMHO.

I'm recognizing something that is disturbing to me. When Britney went to prison she had support that she also was attacked cuz she was gay especially when her lover showed her face. Surprised the doctor even bothered to comment, considering his past frequent bashing of the LGBTG community, particularly Black Gay men. Or maybe he just likes Black Gay women?
