All modern day cars are largely made out of plastic and that includes bumpers and most rear ends too
Eventually demo derby will cease to exist if all cars become electric with batteries and the way they make them now doesn't make them very suitable for demo derbies. By 2100 I highly doubt there will be demo derbies.

In terms of the best hits of 2020....I personally LOVE the strategic hard hits that KO an opponents car with good aim and speed. Or as I call it the One-hit-KO types. It's painful seeing classic cars being crushed in derbies. Compacts and minivans I couldn't care less about. But the old iron is painful to watch.

Never thought Wreckfest's damage models were "realistic" until watching this video. Damn!
That game was a breath of fresh air from the whole 'launch-driver-through-windshield' bullcrap that Flatout had. It just didn't appeal to me. Wreckfest is what I like to call the 'Gran Turismo' of demolition derby video games, with a realistic take on the sport and it basically could be seen as Bugbear's unofficial revival of the old Destruction Derby games on PS1.

Worst thing for a stock wagon is a hard ass hit in the beginning, they usually go down. Whenever I run a wagon I try to do soft hits to the backs of tilted cars to get the frame rails goin then start hitting harder when it starts to pinch.

Last demo derby I went to I saw a Prius in the demo derby up against some small compact car class btw the Prius got 3rd place in the derby it broke it's steering and couldn't turn and was disqualified from derby

One guy looked like the whole interior burst into flames. Holy. He sure exited the vehicle in a hurry. Phew. Some pretty nasty hits. They don’t give drivers this much room to build up crazy speed where we are in Canada. They keep the ring pretty small. Still pretty competitive and fun to watch tho

You should try watching some European banger racing. The unlimited class is my favourite. Wareaton in beljum is a hard hitting track.

Lot of 80's 90's models out and about, that either means that people are getting smart and saving the old stuff, or it's getting harder to find. On the upside though, plenty of SUVs and mini vans to play with.

Got my dates wrong. Well, I am 85. Easter is this coming weekend Friday, April 2nd. Did play golf this morning. 8 holes which went very well considering no golf for 3 months. It was a beautiful sunny day and I didn't lose my golf ball!!! Kind regards again appreciating the courage and skill of these young men driving these cars.
