Making this PMV has been a journey. All 18 months of it. That’s right, this took me a year and a half to complete. (Note to self: never do that again.) Just kidding! I’ll definitely have more big projects like this in the future! Just…not for a good long while. I’ve felt pretty terrible about my lack of activity on RUclips, and working on (and off) this video has been a pretty big part of that. Therefore, I plan to work on a lot of smaller projects, which equals more uploads for you guys! (Hopefully. Don’t quote me on that.) In the near future, you can expect to see speedpaints, personal art, smaller animations, storyboards and animatics, edits, and hey(!) maybe even some MAP parts! :) I hope you guys will stick with me until then! And here’s a big shoutout to the 1,521 subscribers who’ve stuck with me this long, lol. You guys are awesome! Until next time!

If you don’t like reading long posts but still want to know what's going on, here’s the short version of the story, Moonkitti style!
Scenes from the city to the forest represent the rogue Sasha’s journey to the clans, where she dumps her two kits, Mothwing and Hawkfrost, in Riverclan and then takes off.
“What now?” asks Mothwing.
“Blackmail, of course!” answers Hawkfrost.
Hawfrost sneaks out past his bedtime to trick Riverclan’s local old guy into making his sister the medicine cat apprentice, and the old guy buys it.
“You need a teacher. I can show you the ways of the Force,” the old guys says to Mothwing.
“Um…okay,” Mothwing agrees. “As long as you don’t abandon me like my mom did, that sounds fine!”
“All according to plan,” Hawkfrost says, while smiling evilly in public. For some reason, nobody finds this strange.
Literally one second later the old guy ascends to heaven on the fifty yard line, leaving Mothwing all alone.
“What now?” she asks.
“Blackmail, of course!” answers Hawkfrost, emerging dramatically from the fog machines he set up beforehand.
Mothwing becomes an atheist, deciding that if Starclan existed they wouldn’t let her brother pick on her all the time.
In the next scene, Tigestar Clone #2 is now dead, thanks to the efforts of Tigerstar Clone #1. But this is warrior cats, and people die every day, so everyone pretty much goes right back to normal.
With her brother gone, things are going great for Mothwing! She gets to keep her job + a new apprentice! :O Mistyfoot smiles trustingly at her. “Isn’t it so great that we have a God-fearing medicine cat?” :) Mothwing does the anime sweat droop thing before leaving to pretend to speak to dead cats she doesn’t believe exist.
At the Moonpool, Jayfeather calls her bluff using his physic powers, but luckily Leafpool, who’s in on the whole thing, convinces him not to tell anyone.
Later, Mistystar gets her extra lives and discovers that Mothwing does NOT believe in Starclan when she doesn’t show up for her promotion party. She fires Mothwing immediately.
…And then changes her mind a day later after her son accidentally becomes a chew toy for one of the neighborhood dogs. Mistystar realizes that getting rid of their best doctor was a bad idea, and lets Mothwing have her job again.
Mothwing literally watches ghost cats fight each other, but decides to remain an atheist and insists to everyone else that the fourth series was just a mass hallucination.
Her clan still likes her, but she feels out of place among the other medicine cats because she’s an Omen-of-the-Stars denier. She walks off to ask the sky what’s the matter with her, and the sky answers by briefly showing her a constellation of a moth. “This doesn’t help,” says Mothwing.

Okay so I had to take a brisk sprint around my neighbourhood before I commented because I'm feeling A LOT OF THINGS RIGHT NOW.
I'm literally scrambling to pick my jaw up off the floor right now. I'm just in awe. This has to be one of the most gorgeous PMVs I've ever come across. Within the first few seconds featuring the backgrounds I was already so hooked. You've got such a way of taking this world we know and just adding so much magic and wonder to it? Wow. It's outstanding holy cow.
And the EMOTION you built in this. The spot specifically where I had to pause the video and like catch my breath was the shot of Mothwing's eyes on "Show yourself"

Oh my Lord. I know I am beating a dead horse here, but works of art like this need to be commemorated. How have you not taken this community by storm yet? This is by far the most amazing PMV I have ever seen. I've never seen such beautiful, highly detailed backgrounds that captures the spirit of the Warriors home forest before. The Disney style to the characters, and you even went above and beyond to include a little fantastic animation too...! The only problem with this PMV is that my expectations of Warriors videos are going to be unreasonably high from now on. If anyone is worthy of living up to Alli Kat's legacy, its you.
Oh, wow! AlliKat was one of my biggest inspirations as a young artist (all the way back in 2011!), and being told that I'm worthy of the legacy she's left on the Warriors fandom means more to me than I can ever say. Thank you so much for the comment!

this is absolutely phenomenal! mothwing means a lot to me, and you showcased her arc so beautifully, from the characters to the background to the editing... there's nothing i could possibly write to explain how amazing this is.
THIS IS PHENOMENAL, I HAVE NO WORDS. It's not often our community sees a gem like this, but this is incredible. All the backgrounds and editing, the character designs and bit of animation at the end are so inspiring. The time went into this is crazy but absolutely paid off! All those stripes, man! There's so many backgrounds in this that show up for less than a second, the amount of dedication in this PMV is absurd and it's flawless. Remarkable work!!

This was beautiful! The background art made me feel connected to the setting, something I could imagine as true, and the song- I’ve never heard it before this but it’s amazing! Perfect for Mothwing’s struggle with StarClan and going through Mistystar demoting her once she’d found out about Mothwing’s lack of communication. I’d almost forgotten about Willowshine, having RiverClan be so isolated in the latest books, but this made me realize how important she was to Mothwing. Also, the animation towards the end was so smooth! I expected this to be a full PMV, but that surprised me and I’m sure it took ages to perfect as I’ve heard animation is a bit stressful. Please continue to create, even if it takes months to upload something new, this takes time and it obviously pays off.
I learned so much about backgrounds and landscapes while working on this, and I'm glad the effort shows! Speaking of backgrounds, you're right about Riverclan being almost nonexistent in the recent books. Hopefully they'll get more screen time (page time???) in future books. I remember when this first came out. I was there to upload and comment the first day, albeit on an account I no longer have access to. I was heartbroken when it was taken down. I'm so thrilled to return here to find it back. This is one of the most stunning warriors PMVs to ever exist, and the emotional impact of each frame will forever resonate with me. I remember how much this inspired me and made me love Mothwing even more than I already did. It meant a huge deal to me, and I never could bring myself to watch the cover fully. No shade to the cover, but the incredible feelings just weren't there. This is a brilliant masterpiece, and always has been. It makes me so happy to be able to watch it again in all its original glory. :)

It really is a shame that people aren’t appreciating your art work as much simply because it no longer has the voice that they think would be good for a fictional cat!
After having been here from the semi-start and having seen the old link with the muted version I’m so glad you got the copyright issues figured out! Don’t get your hopes down, just give it some time to get back into everyones recommendations and to grow on people, it’s wasn’t till it came back in mine that I knew it even had changed. Also as someone who isn’t a mothwing super fan it was very nice to have the extra scenes at the end to explain what happened after the battle! Finally seeing the end line up was also very satisfying along with the pacing!
This is so encouraging to me, you have no idea ;V; I'm still kind of heartbroken this version was hidden so long, so it hasn't been viewed nearly as much as it could have been by this point. It's three years old now, old news in the WC fandom, lol, so I feel silly that I'm still defending it/promoting it to anyone who'll listen. This is the result of months of hard work to bring the fandom FREE warrior content, people need to remember that. And honestly if they liked the old version so much that they force you to defend your decisions, then they can just mute the tab and play the cover in the background during their own time. Either way at the end of the day people are appreciating YOUR art work!

Clicked on this video out of nostalgia, was a little surprised the song was different but went on to be amazed at the full project. This gave me chills in the best way possible, man I’m so glad you got to finally tell the story you wanted to tell with the og song because it was amazing :]

These backgrounds are a blessing
Oh my god. This is the greatest PMV I've ever had the privilege to watch. The backgrounds look like photographs. The cats look practically perfect in every way. Each and every eye is a sculpted masterpiece; and each and every eye conveys such depth and emotion. This is the most accurate and beautiful depiction of Mothwing's story that I've ever seen.
The animation that starts near the end took my breath away. Not to mention the fact that the lip sync was spot-on.
I can see the soul that was poured into this. And I can see MY soul clamoring for me to show this to all the Warrior-fans I know.
You have crafted a true work of art. Your unmatched skill is quite amazing, and I cannot wait to see what you do in the future. As for now, take the time to think to yourself what a great artist and animator you are. You earned a break.
On a side note, your wrists must be dead after those 18 months.

HOLY GUACAMOLE, this is the best warriors AMV that I ever lay my eyes on. Everything fits so perfectly with the song and I adore the backgrounds, and most of the scenes are so breathtaking. This defiantly needs a whole lotta recognition and it's amazing that you put a lot of determination and love on this AMV for 18 months. You should be super proud of yourself

I didn't understand some of the scenes that happened in this MAP (I stopped reading warriors after the 4th series I think, plus I read the books 2 years ago) but this is really beautiful. Also I really like this song, I've never heard of it before but it is very touching. Good job!!

Everything about this movie is fantastic! I LOVE the backgrounds and how detailed and pretty they are. Also the perfect amount of tweening and good places to put the words to the song, not to annoying like a lot of pmvs, but still nice and noticeable, and I like that.
AND FOR THE ARTSTYLE?!?! It’s GORGEOUS AND PURE!! The shading is amazing and the designs are quite well!! I love how your style has that perfect mix between realism and a cartoony style, I always try to found that in artists. All the characters flow so nicely together and fit extremely well within the background. Your anatomy is on point too!! It’s just perfect aaa
OKAY! The animation is INCREDIBLE! It’s so smooth and flows really nice with the song, the lip-syncing is awesome too! Also the shading flows nicely with the animation too, whenever I shade in my animations it turns out choppy and ugly, but yours is so smooth, and I admire that! Great job on that animation!

3 years later and this is still one of the most stunning Pmv’s that I’ve ever laid my eyes on in the warrior cat community! I love coming back to watch it over and over again because it’s overall just so calming !! I remember when I originally saw it when it was first released and how excited I was, to this day it still is absolutely immaculate and one of my favorite PMV’s !!
I had to rewatch this 14 times just to take in all of the detail. Wow. I'm shook. Saying this is amazing would be an understatement. I'm just speechless...
Oh my god I remember the original when it came out and I constantly replayed it. This is if not my favourite one of my favourite PMVs ever, the effort and beauty of it, the song choice which made me then end up loving this song and the gorgeous beginning and the lip sync at the end, this is literally an outstanding work of art. The cover one was great but I was super bummed out when it disappeared due to it getting blocked, I'm so happy the original is back.
If only Mothwing realized that Leafpool is watching over her from Starclan and that Starclan knows she's doing her absolute best, struggling faith and all

Seriously you could publish this as a picture book, every illustration is so lovingly detailed every aspect of it from the characters, lighting, and especially those jaw dropping backgrounds. Spectacular!
this is still, two years later, one of my favorite Warriors videos. the care and detail is phenomenal (the backgrounds, THE BACKGROUNDS, not to mention the frame by frame with moth at the end with all of her stripes???? hands you the crown, Queen), the character and emotion conveyed by every cat is powerful. It stands as one of the most meaningful videos that I come back to again and again. This deserves twice the views of the cover, it's amazing.

I've come back to rewatch this every now and then, & every time it's still an absolutely breathtaking, gorgeous experience. The scenery shots are so beautiful & detailed, you've really helped inject some magic into the world of Warriors. I think my favorite scene is when Jayfeather figures out Mothwing is atheist on "and I had a revelation". The picture immediately after that is also one of my favorite images in the whole AMV! The lighting & composition mixed with camera movements/a choir of people in the background really just swept me off of my feet.
That, & Moth's expression on the line "I'm a lesbian kiss" just really. Speaks to me. She just looks so apprehensive, maybe even ashamed, for Mistystar to be figuring out her secret. And the ending animation is wonderful as well! The flash of the moth constellation was a fun resolution to the "god-shaped hole" in mothwing's image at the start of the video.
It honestly warms my heart whenever someone comes back to watch or leave a kind comment as you have done, so thank you~ Hearing what a person found intriguing or beautiful or impactful opens my eyes to my own work and allows me to view it from a different lense. The moth motif throughout as a representation of Mothwing's faith was a favorite part of mine as well: how it feels like a gaping hole inside of her, how it manifests in the real world during her conflict with Mistystar and with the Great Battle, and how it appears in the stars and in her dreams. I think you're the first person to mention how it comes full circle in the AMV, so I'm especially happy about that!

This is gorgeous. I really liked the cover as well, actually, it had a slower note that I was able to relate to more. That was the anthem in my head for a long time. Thanks for making this PMV!

okay I'm just sitting in a sorta stunned silence right now, because THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! The DETAILS, the FEELS, the CAMERA ANGLES, the BACKGROUNDS, that little ANIMATION AT THE END! I need a moment to breathe.. this is probably the most beautiful Warriors PMV, if not just the most beautiful PMV, I've ever seen. Incredibly well done.

god this is so gorgeous, I keep finding myself watching it because wow its just so wonderful. Everything here so so SO pretty and stunning. The song is perfect and you did a great job in ever single aspect of this PMV. I'm not surprised this took you 18 months because I can tell you worked HARD on this and it paid off so well. I was BLOWN AWAY by the smooth animation at the end accompanied by the wonderful scenery. 2:22 chills at that part EVERY time I watch this, jeez... The battle with the dark forest is also great, especially with the lyrics being sung during that part. And that last part where it switches to fill amv rather than pmv like the rest of the song? Jarring (for lack of better word choice) in the best way possible, it's so great and attention-grabbing. I'm still in love with this pmv years later
OH MY GOSH! I just remembered this PMV and wanted to watch it again AND I'M SO HAPPY THE ORIGINAL IS BACK UP AGAIN! I watched this so many times when it came out and was so sad when it got blocked. I hope in time, this gets all the views the cover version got and more. It's one of THE BEST Warriors PMVs around and it deserves so much more love
This just got progressively more jaw dropping as I watched. Woah, those backgrounds are gorgeous... WOW, are they going to do backgrounds like this for the whole video?! ...And really good visual concepts, nice... Oh yeah! excellent timing and editing.... And covers ALL the consequences that Mothwing's dealt with because of her lack of faith?! ... Art quality has remained amazing throughout the video... DANG, this is almost more of an animatic than a pm- IS THAT ANIMATION???!!!
Seriously, this is breathtaking. Wonderful work. I like that the song and PMV reflect how Mothwing wants to believe, but can't find the faith. And Starclan continues to approve of her, even if she can't see it.
This is absolutely gorgeous honestly, your art is wonderful, I love your style, the designs and especially the backgrounds are breath-taking!
Combine that with the editing and the song and I feel like this really tells Mothwing's story well!
I kinda drifted away from Warriors a long time ago but this is the first thing that really made me want to revisit it.

To me, your work is just a corner stone in the warriors animation community, up there with Alex harrier, finch wing, river spirit, whisker moon, blixemi and mama tad lol. Just wouldn't be the same without your art! It's so cool to see how your animation has developed over the years, even my friends who never read the books can still see such dedication and skill that went into making this pmv. I watched it then and it will be one of those videos I keep coming to when I'm on a god tier warrior cat content binge lol

Seriously though....I am absolutely FLOORED by the talent that went into this video! Everything from the character designs, the storytelling, the emotions, the backgrounds (holy Lord the BACKGROUNDS) is just jaw-dropping, you are an incredible artist and animator! So many scenes in this made me just....aaah! The scene with Jaypaw flashing between the medicine cat's visions and discovering that Mothing didn't share dreams with StarClan I love, along with the scene during the Dark Forest battle when the dead cat's spirit left it's body and joined the fight; all of the expressions were perfect! You can really feel how conflicted and confused Mothwing is throughout the whole PMV...I could go on forever about how great this is! :D Overall, amazing job! You have phenomenal talent; keep up the beautiful work!
