What a lovely introduction to this restoration. Looks like it will cover many of the issues and techniques I’m interested in. I do like the choice of Wintergatan music as a substitute for the baroque of previous videos, I just hope you like it as much. Thoroughly looking forward to the rest of the series!
I instantly recognised Martin's music, so I checked in the description - so glad you credited him, I've followed him for years now. The wear on that fusee bearing is hellish, I'm interested to see how you'll address that, plus the other bearing issues as well as the escapement. Thanks for sharing, Tommy!
This video is a real treat i have a shop that replace and bevel clock glass by hand. I never see the clock just the fram or bezel.looking forward to the next video.thank you
@@TommyJobson That’s ok was just curious where I am and what few clock repairers that there is I would guess in U.S. dollars for what You described in your inspection here the cost would be around $2000 - $3000.00
Hi, I would love to say yes, but the subititles are automatically geneerated by RUclips and I have no idea how to convert them into French. Sorry. I will look into it for the future though. Thanks for your interest. Tommy.

Martin is fnatastic, as soon as he released his music for others to use I knew what I would be using for my videos.

Your screw driver did not fit the screw slot?
Wouldn't the fusee have used a chain?
JIM
No this clock originally had gut lines on the fusee.
Any news on this series?
Yes I’m editing Part 2 at the moment. Hopefully it will be the next video out in the next week ish.
@@TommyJobson Good news. Looking forward to it.
Ok
Let's say all the work is done to restore this clock what would the cost be?
Unfortunatly that side of the project is between me and the client, however lets just say I don't give my time away for free!
