I’ll be expecting a lot of second hand ones with damaged pentographs in the market in the future. Really like the details esp in the cab. Can easily see a few of these running on my layout. Clint
Great video it is great and I will definitely be picking one up one day With the windscreen wipers when looking at images I have seen no images that show any at all

Great video as per usual. I did notice the one container isn't sitting properly on the car (wagon) correctly. In the states that train wouldn't be allowed to move till that was corrected.
Certainly is a lovely model. The ability to put the pantograph up and down does command prestige. Despite being considered a bit of a gimmick by some being able to raise and lower the pantograph with servo motors would actually not be a bad idea for Hornby's 800 class. Given that in real life it's the sort of train you'd expect to see switching modes. That would be a fantastic feature at an exhibition if the modeller wanted to show the train swapping between modes I.E Diesel if a particular part was non-electrified.
Love the detail on the class 90s especially the paragraphs moving up and down with a servo bacherman make some amazing trains and rolling stock but they are a bit pricey but as the old saying goes you pay for what you get and those trains do look great especially on your layout richard another fine video, Hope your cold gets better soon all the best john from rugby.

Purchased one of these some months ago , ran really well until a small shunt which broke the bogie mounting point where it is attached to the chassis ,this in turn snapped the power wires where they attach the pick up points . Unfortunately Bachmann instructions only tell you how to access the chip compartment on top off the engine , also there is no list of spares that can be purchased for this model , so will have to contact service dept for availability of replacement bogie .Am pleased with engine though .

18:33 `had it`s delays` 5 years wait is nothing, you've got off lightly in fact. I have been waiting since February 2011 for the Bachmann Warflat wagon (38-726) I've got 12 on pre - order, latest update from Bachmann is they have been delayed further until mid 2021, and every year of delay the price goes up. A elderly fellow modeller friend of mine had 5 on pre - order but sadly died in November 2017 whilst still waiting for them. Don`t forget these wagons were announced 3 years before the class 90! I`m thinking of cancelling the pre-order and have done with it, it`s beyond a joke now.

Rails of Sheffield have just had their second half of the first shipment sent to them as of 5/8/19. I think I shall wait until they come down to £120 or less. They shall as £152 id too much and it should only be £120 to £130. On their website they say that they have found some more in their warehouse but this is not true. It just a ploy. A man slipped up when he said that another shipment had arrived of all three liveries
Good to see bachmann have made access to the chip easy, some of their stuff is an abomination to get into.......I like the way you describe only the FL one as “ modern image “, you might be better with “ contemporary “ as MI was a phrase coined before you were born to describe post 1968 modelling ;)

It's at the end of this video too ;-)
18:33 `had it`s delays` 5 years wait is nothing, you've got off lightly in fact.
Cavalex announced Warflats at DEMU today, maby another option for you?
@@NewJunction Announcing is no use to me what so ever, anybody can announce something, Bachmann`s announcement in 2011 should of started with the words `Once upon a time`
@@devilscoachman79 very good point! This highlights the current mood of modellers currently sadly, a point I wish manufacturers would understand.
`Nice, but I prefer the Hornby Caledonian Sleeper Class 90
think this will come eventually ;-) they've lots of liveries etc to tackle.
I prefer the Hornby one also, I have a DB Schenker one from Hornby. Got it brand new for 42 quid from Hatton's, I have done a good job of detailing it with a PH Designs Class 90 detailing it. Furthermore I've even managed to 3D print better valances (for both variants of the Class 90) and also managed to have a new compressor unit 3D printed. I 3D printed a BW-HS pantograph as well, it has to be glued in position but I am fine with that, my pantograph looks more accurate than Bachmann's unrealistic second lower arm version.
I toped it all off by adding more weight and a detailed cab.
How do l get 2 units?
Sounds like you're coming down with something?
How can you tell? Lol
@@NewJunction your voice sounds a bit rough
Are your points motored or do you change the points by hand great video though
All.done by hand!
Cheers because I wasn't sure if you could ballast your track and have unmotorised points
You should put OLE a round your layout
New Junction already has OHLE.
Half of it has it lol
Early and great video 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks William
Ps how much
Im going to buy one and respray it into greater anglia
I'm sure that liverys on the cards
New Junction I wish it was but greater anglia don’t like licensing it out, Hornby was gonna release a 90 in it but they said no
Freightliner is the best then the depo one then the intercity
Frieghtliner
Everytime! ;-)
Good to see bachmann have made access to the chip easy, some of their stuff is an abomination to get into.......I like the way you describe only the FL one as “ modern image “, you might be better with “ contemporary “ as MI was a phrase coined before you were born to describe post 1968 modelling ;)
So I'm still right? ;-)
Ha , not if you don’t think RFD and intercity is modern image. Or maybe modern image for old farts like me !
@@robd2184 Haha
I like the 91s. I'm of to the crewe open day and get to go in 91119 carnt wait
Enjoy it!
Are you losing weight? I might be going crazy but you seam much thinner recently
Flattery gets you everywhere! Proberbly look smaller after a shave lol
Hi

Get better
Thanks Vincent
Argh that Freightliner livery just makes me cringe.. that sweep looks like an afterthought.
That bit reminds me of graffiti 😣
... but I just got mine through the post today 😀😀😀😀😀😀
Lovely loco!
They're nice Dave, the Bachmann's are always fantastic. I've looked them up, they're expensive. Have you bought all 3?
You sound full of a cold mate, get yourself to bed.
No bed while theres videos to make lol the freightliner one is mine.
Get some manooka honey and warm tea with max of a splash of milk your voice sounds destroyed
Thanks for the suggestion Ellie!
