    While they are probably proud of it, nothing exceptional about this city, looks like many other cities in the world.

    I do like the trams that run the sides of the roads close to the kerb. This offers a little more safety to the people who catch the public transport. In the Evil West, the trams are usually in the centre of the road - to allow cars to park on the roadside, However this means that in western cities, travellers usually need to give way to (or dodge) the cars to get to the tram stops. Apart from that, its all fairly drab and colourless, and lack of cars ! Lack of anything much (that we would take for granted) at all it seems. The workers' paradise !

    Now this is a different image from the usual images of empty cities like it were a post-apocalyptic scenario, you all. 10/10

    Wow... it looks like a big city, but it looks so cultural/traditional. 1 Night 2 Days variety show got me here, and looking at North Korea on that show, not just the people on that show, even I feel pity for the North Korea. It somehow looks old fashioned, and they need to develop like really. This video was from 2013, but this year is 2014 now, they need to catch up with the modern stuff. They're so democracy.

    If you look up Kim Jong Il's body moving through the streets of Pyongyang with everyone crying, you'll see there's literally lines of brand new (at the time) 2012 Mercedes cars, like the royal wedding in the UK which had nice cars.

    I'm Indian, and my country _supposedly_ works.
    Yet even the best cities (Bombay, Delhi, Bangalore) can't boast infrastructure as good as this. The roads are too narrow & poorly built. The sidewalks either don't exist or have been colonized by beggars and slums. There's garbage everywhere. It's the *degree* of filth that separates the good neighbourhoods from the bad ones.
    North Korea is supposed to be a failed state, in league with Somalia or Afghanistan. However, you won't find anything as clean and nice in those countries, or even in my country.
    So, if North Korea is such a failed state, how does it have such nice streets and nice buildings.
    Don't tell me this is just a facade to fool outsiders. My country has a billion+ people, and we still haven't put up anything this nice.

      +Deathanizor it's all western propaganda in order to turn the gov in NK down, but if fact NK isn't as bad as people think

    • @Deathanizor
      @Deathanizor 9 лет назад +1

      Jingxuan Wang I agree with you. A failed state cannot build such nice cities.
      I suspect that North Korea is far more advanced than the Americans want us to believe.

      I think North Korea used to have a fairly decent economy back during the Cold War and even had a stronger economy than South Korea did. Once the USSR collapsed, North Korea completely went to shit and has had major issues with hunger, power outages, and things like that. I would imagine most of the buildings you see in this video are at least 50 years old or so.

    this looks like the most boring place on earth! .. all the buildings are the same .. they all look like housing too ... must suck to live here.. nothing to do .. but wander the streets and then go home to you many choices of apartment buildings..

    I think the DPRK looks absolutely wonderful. No McDonalds. No Starbucks. No litter. No graffiti. No chavs. No obese people waddling about. No asylum seekers. The complete antithesis of modern Britain.

    Huge empty buildings. Not a light anywhere, never see anyone entering or leaving. People just walk the streets, nothing else to do. City is just a facade.
