I think you - and Leonardo - nailed it: quality, passionate, beautiful pens at a fair price. There's hardly a model that comes out that I don't think about buying!
The thing I love about Leonardo is that at the end of the phone line I get to have a human interaction with a person of the same passion as all of us, no corporation , no corporative ladder, no “I need to get an approval” , no “I need to talk to my supervisor” … and here is where we can make magic if we have those ingredients
I enjoy seeing your passion for pens! And it was very interesting to learn more about your collaboration with Leonardo. I have 1 Leonardo pen, the arabian nights. Still totally love it!!
Thank you so much for your feedback :D over these years we did amazing things together - us and Leonardo :D That Arabian Nights is one of those very fun pens
We are so happy with our Leonardo’s FP. Your videos keep getting better and better Emy. I can’t wait to see what else is coming. Wish list a purple celluloid for me.
Next time I'll show everyone! This year I want to make a rundown through my entire collection :D in a video - before the top 10 list. Stay tuned because we are cooking something epic
You are a gem Emy. What you've doing for the Fountain pen community is really commendable. I love my Leonardos especially the Nuda. Waiting for the upcoming editions from Leonardo.
Thank you Kunal, I always try to see things from a different perspective and to take on things that are not yet tried in our community 😄 what is coming next I think is even better that I thought is possible
My 4th Leonardo should be here next month. My urushi MZG is definitely a prized piece in my collection. I absolutely love it. I look forward to future collaborations with Leonardo and other brands!
I love both my Leonardos, one of which is the Nuda exclusive. Totally worth the price! It's incredibly elegant and the Leondardo nibs just write so well.
Thank you, Emy, for another great and very personal video. I really love how you put so much of yourself into them. I do enjoy FP retailer reviews and presentations, because they are useful to their customers and the FP community being so great, retailers are always passionate and customer-driven vendors. Yet yours have a special freshness and spontaneousness that I really appreciate. I absolutely love Leonardo and am a huge fan of pretty much all their resins. I own two (a MZG 2.0 in Angel Skin, a grail pen for me, and Momento Magico Jonathan Brook Calico Coi). Both write super well, are superb (the Angel Skin quality keeps me amazed every time I pick it up) pens and keep me happy. I have, however, two little regrets. The first is the price they charge for the wrench to disassemble the piston. It may be silly but spending another 30 euros annoys me a little, and I think including it with their higher-end pens would more elegant. My second regret is that with clearer resins, ink will get behind the little inside plastic cusp in the cap and stain. I have made a tentative try to gently pry it off the cap with the pencil/rubber band method to no avail. I'm a little disappointed there is no way to clean the blue ink residue, so I wish Leonardo was a little bit more practical and daily-use conscious for this sort of details. More broadly speaking, although I really like many of their various models and I am drooling as much as the next addict over special editions that catch my eye (your Arabian Night was eye candy), I fear that over time this profusion of Leonardo models may drive me away. I have often observed - and hopefully this will not be the case with LOI! - that this kind of huge success and buzz over brands can at times translate into less quality and less customer-oriented, or more to the point, user-oriented concerns. Because buying a pen does not necessarily means using it. I suspect the biggest spenders on the FP market are collectors and a portion of them will never ink the pens they buy. While there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, their support as customers does not intail the same preoccupations. Like I said, this is me going all-Cassandra over the issue, but my point is I do hope the huge, tidal-wave hype over Leonardo pens will not change the DNA of the brand and that quality, durability, consistency will continue to be priorities for them. And that being said, of course, I CANNOT wait to discover (and probably drool over) your next collaboration with them!
Im so happy to know that you are a fan of Leonardo Officina Italiana creations, in my videos I always try to present a different angle and to do a good job in making our niche available for more people, with my content I often see that a lot of people are more open to get their first pen and to start their journey in our hobby, for me this is the complete circle and the most rewarding thing about what I do. Thank you for your feedback and for sure I already took a snapshot of this comment and sent it to Leonardo to make an effort to address these :D Leonardo pens are so practical and I think almost all of the people that choose them, they write with them and not out them in the storage just to keep them as a visual treat, I use all my Leonardo pens and its a shame that sometimes I wish I had more spare time to really ink more of them and write with them :D
Always such solid videos Emy, and the production quality is also top notch. I really love Leonardo pens too. The MZG specifically is such a comfortable pen for me. The perfect size and weight and the fit and finish are always superb. Their steel nibs are almost always fantastic writers as well, better than most other steel nibbed pens I own. I think right now I have 12 of their pens in my collection, with my favorites being the MZG Masterpiece Rosewood Ebonite and the Nuda, of course 😉. The combined passion between you and Leonardo has led to some incredible exclusives, and I'm still bummed I missed out on the urushi verisons. When the next one comes out, set one aside for me!
Thank you my dear fried :D im catching up with my comment section :D sorry for being so late. The exclusives will come, not only that but I have a habit like always taking on the overall same theme and continuing in following years - the urushi edition of this year will be dope :D stay tuned
Emy, how do the ebonite pens feel compared to celluloid and the regular Italian resins? I am super interested in owning an art deco ebonite green/teal/ burgundy in my collection >_< they're so different and sleek! Thanks for sharing your warm collection with so much memory and love! ❤
Besides the normal things like smell and texture - what sets each apart are these : Ebonite is lights and warm to the touch, Resin is resilient and a touch heavier than ebonite, Celluloid is light and has a very deep color scheme that cant be replicated. :D
At this point of my life as a Fountainpen user, I only buy Leo’s pens. Salva’s creations make me happy and I don’t need anything else in the fountain pens world at the point that I got to own a lot of their beauties. Between you and me… probably my favorite is the Nuda. Ciao Emy
Hey there Tom 😄 if I where to pack for a long travel 10 pens, I think like 6 would be fire sure Leonardo pens, nuda being one of them since it’s such a visual treat
Hi Emy. Which brand do you prefer more? Visconti or Leonardo? I know that there's alot of pros n cons for both brands, but wanted to get your opinions.
I would have to test them first, but I know where they sourced them and William Shakour titaniums nibs I did tried :D their 8 was sweet like a very fine pencil
I used to think very highly of this brand until i had to message them for warranty and it has been like 15 days and i havent heard back. There is not even an official route to message them for warranty specifically
I will send them this feedback, considering that with repairs and warranty we experienced times like 6 - 8 months in back and forth communication and waiting on the repair to be done, you can picture that the manpower is spread so much that is shows in these delays. The official route is the email stated at returns on their page at the lower part
For me the concept of 'same pen, different colours' is not something I buy into as I consider myself predominantly a writer rather than a collector. Historically speaking I guess that is the difference between now and the heyday of fountain pens - the shift from (mostly) a writing tool to a (mostly) collector's item.
Hmmm I would have to mention that with Leonardo is not always same pen differen color, since we have all sort of models / different sizes for the same model / limited editions of all sort / different nib types on the same pen and all sort of wild combinations that are simply making the line up of Leonardo to be on anyone’s taste and budget - in the heyday pens where not looked as statement items but functional tools like any other tool, in our days they are statement before use … although we can use them all just like in the heydays

@@pen.venture Indeed. Sounds like a great partner!
All great looking writers❤
:D thank you so much

@@pen.venture yes, I know that! Great collab! Looking forward to see more! (and use)
Leonardo’s are my absolute favorite pens! I have 22 of them to date! My absolute favorite brand!
:)) Im with you neck to neck ... or better said Neck Deep in Leonardo :)))
Great video. I own the art deco in orange; absolutely gorgeous pen, and it shows the passion that the brand puts in its products.
hey there Andy :D the second edition of the Artdeco series has to be one of my top 5 pens from them :D
We are so happy with our Leonardo’s FP. Your videos keep getting better and better Emy. I can’t wait to see what else is coming. Wish list a purple celluloid for me.
Hey there Clare 😄 - thank you my dear for your feedback, we will have something purple coming this year for sure
Just bought my first LMZ, it'll be here today. Fell in love with GoldSpots black sands resin.
Good choice :D
Great stuff Emy. You didn't show us the Wild celluloid - looks an amazing pen. Can't wait for the new collabs.
Next time I'll show everyone! This year I want to make a rundown through my entire collection :D in a video - before the top 10 list. Stay tuned because we are cooking something epic

I love both my Leonardos, one of which is the Nuda exclusive. Totally worth the price! It's incredibly elegant and the Leondardo nibs just write so well.
Happy to hear Nuda is there in your collection doing a good job :D

That Delta Dolcevita Meditterano is EXTRAORDINARY!
hey Donald :D thank you my friend - it is quite a unique appearance

Let me ask, where is the promised video with Pilot Custom 823? I can’t wait. 😢 Greetings!
:)) its coming ... along with a lot more from Pilot :S
Emy, how do the ebonite pens feel compared to celluloid and the regular Italian resins? I am super interested in owning an art deco ebonite green/teal/ burgundy in my collection >_< they're so different and sleek! Thanks for sharing your warm collection with so much memory and love! ❤

If I buy a Momento zero with a 1.5 stub. Can I change it to a medium? I love the resin on the pin but the stub is to big of a nib for me.
yes you can - just need to follow which kind of nib you need because they are of a few kinds, if you know which one you have - its easy to change

URUSHI Leonardo pen!?!? OMG
Once a year we do something with Urushi from Leonardo - including this one ;) - subscribe to our newsletter and stay tuned for end of August :D
Hi Emy. Which brand do you prefer more? Visconti or Leonardo? I know that there's alot of pros n cons for both brands, but wanted to get your opinions.
Lets put it like this - there are some models where I prefer Visconti and there are some price ranges where I like Leonardo :D
Emy, which Supernova Bohemian in PM4 did you get? Did you go with silver or change your mind? 👍🏻
Hey Richard :D I picked Rhodium(Silver Trim) :D
Hi Emy, what do you think of their titanium nibs?
I would have to test them first, but I know where they sourced them and William Shakour titaniums nibs I did tried :D their 8 was sweet like a very fine pencil
Also, you skipped over the 3rd pen in the last box being the gorgeous purple celluloid. It's my second favorite pen in that collection!
that purple is a Chatterley luxuries exclusive done in the same celluloid as my MZG Thunder :D being the same material I did pass over it :D
I used to think very highly of this brand until i had to message them for warranty and it has been like 15 days and i havent heard back. There is not even an official route to message them for warranty specifically

as always - thank you Javi :D
14 kt is inferior. Even some people don't agree. But the clip is horrible 😢
well you cant have it all the time ... some pens have some things - others have something else that we like
