One very unique tactical strategy game series is missing here that I can really recommend. The Valkyria Chronicles series. Admittedly it is very story based and you have to like the anime style, but the gameplay is fantastic. You can directly control your characters in third person view and also aim and shoot with them although it is turn based. It‘s really a unique of playing. Of course there is more to it with different soldier classes, vehicles, mission types etc. But it is kinda hard to explain. I recommend taking a look at the gameplay
I'll complete the list: +Marvel's Midnight Suns +The Banner Saga trilogy +Rogue Waters +Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus [Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II coming soon] +King Arthur: Knight's Tale +King Arthur: Legion IX +Invisible, Inc. +Phantom Brigade +Jagged Alliance 3 +For The King II +Songs of Silence +Songs of Conquest [4X] +Age of Wonders 4 [4X] +ZEPHON [4X]
@FreelancerCZ I prefer it as its more strategic both on the Battlefield and on the geoscape. Also you can calculate the hit chances pretty accurately, the RNG in Xcom was my biggest frustration with it. I'm sure some would disagree with me but created by Julian Gollop so has a good pedigree.
@@HotblackDeziato I am currently having a blast with ChrisOdds season 9 modpack for Xcom 2 and I will definitely give this game a try once i finish it.
X-com 2 is (for me) the best ever made. Heavy modded it brings new experience to the game and the way you can make your toons is so great. Have no clue on how many playthrough I'm on :)
True, it‘s really a very good strategy game. Probably one of the best I ever played. But the hit chances are a bit strange. Weird how your operators manage to miss at short range in the game. It is kinda baffling😂
Ouu ouu, especially good when you fighting on a building (you on a roof and enemy on 1st stage). And you cant see enemy and cant shoot but enemies can. Soooo difficult. Players so blind and dont see "i dont give a fk" programming style of some companies. Sad. Btw wasteland 3 have same problems.
Great games and great list. Three that I will add to the list is vanguard vandits, if you want consequences and multiple choice, this is the creme de la creme, your choice really alter the story line the allies and the battle you encounter. Hoshigami ruining blue earth, this one is a master class in tactical battle where positioning and timing is everything. The unique system where you can "arrange" when your character will move make this one a brain burner. Last one is super robot wars, purely because of the nostalgic feeling and come on, giant mecha 😅😅😅
This video was coming to the end and I was like, I can’t believe it hasn’t mentioned Wasteland 3. Then you did 😊. I played most of these games. Wasteland 3 is my personal favorite. I even prefer it over Xcom.
Would add games like: ATOM RPG: Post-apocalyptic indie game, UnderRail, Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game, Larian Studios games, Expeditions: Rome, Solasta, ...
This guy us talking so much and made a huge list but if you look from a far you will see how similar all of these games are. From battle to skills to the rng its all there. Some uses mutants other robots or humans... it doesn't matter much. Its the same shit. The only game i personality played was baldurs gate 3, but i did checked gameplay of many other and to be fare the most frustrating thing is the hit/miss dice roll, i hate it. Its like playing chess and if you move a piese... you roll a ride to see if you got the enemy piece or not... i hate this mechanic
Thanks for the forecast! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?

As I was watching the video I thought this was a big channel, I'm surprised its not, but it will certainly be, found some good games here
Great list! Well done for putting Phoenix Point so high, an excellent game and endlessly repayable.
How would you compare it to XCom 2?

ChrissOdd's modpacks are amazing.

Btw wasteland 3 have same problems.
Vandal Hearts is my number one. konami was flying high on PS1.😊
Shining Force 3 should be in every TTRPG list.
Great video and awesome presentation, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I would put in the list Miasma Chronicle, game of the same company of Mutant year zero. Excelente game if its not the best tactical game lately!

A very excellent list. Although there are others (there are always others) I can't call any one of these undeserving. Good vid

Great lidt of games! I have played many and noted down some new ones for me. I wonder how King Arthur: Knight's tale compares to the list.
My favorite are:
Vandeal Heart
Triangle
Enjoye BB
XCOM 2 FOR LIFE!
i still miss The lamplighters league, Marvel's Midnight Suns and if we add FF:tactis games then Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark its must.
Dont forget about Stoneshard
I’d really like to see about one about the turn-based tactics games, if you haven’t do one before.
Xcom eu/ew and xcom 2/wotc are goat in tactics games.
I like Silent Storm with its destructible environments
God I love final fantasy tactics.
Which game can do it co-op ? Can someone mention it please , thanks!
No Jagged Alliance?
great vid for my Favorite type of Genre 🙌🏼
Shining Force
Good video but there should be at least one Disgaea game 😢
Those are an acquired taste. Most people give up on those because they are grindfests. In fact, thats the main reason people dont finish those games.
Silent Storm?
Got my click with that thumbnail.
From this list my favorite is xcom2. But the best one for me is Battle Brothers, recomended for evryone who likes tactical strategy games
Would add games like: ATOM RPG: Post-apocalyptic indie game, UnderRail, Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game, Larian Studios games, Expeditions: Rome, Solasta, ...
Miasma chronicles is decent
Alien is cool, but the save / checkpoint system is awful
is missing xenonauts
age of wonders 4 mf

Then Phoenix point should be up your alley.
