Adventures in Mastuj on way to Shandur

- This is the 11th episode of my road trip series across Pakistan. In this episode we will travel from Booni towards Shandur Pass, crossing a small town on way, called Mastuj but some unforeseen circumstances altered our itinerary.
Stay tuned for upcoming Vlogs in which i will cover regions of Malakand division, KPK, Chitral, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

We have crossed this road at 7pm in evening. Believe it or not we had a honda civic X 2021 & we started our journey from gilgit to yaseen valley at 2 pm & reached there at 7pm. Crossed shundur at night with dense snowfall. There were no signals, plus we forgot the road that lead to chitral because the track was only for 4x4. To cut the story short we drove non-stop & reached chitral tomorrow at 12 pm & I can say this was the best adventure i have ever had in my life. You have a 4x4, you should have crossed upto chitral

As Chilas is so different from rest of the Gilgit region, I think Mastuj is Chilas of Chitral Region. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to see you in Phander.

i am basically from mastuj.its is not a haunted place or something else .you might be at some place at the wrong time.thats it , otherwise we are very hospitable people.even if you had asked some one to stay in their home .they would have happily allowed you.do visit mastuj once more and try to look at the positive things aswell,their are many beautiful places near mastuj like parkusap where you will find orange colored spring and many more other things.sorry for this time but do visit next time.
Yes i believe you are 100% right. Maybe my experience was bit different but it happens, part of traveling, not all the days are equally fun. People of Chitral are wonderful and i made a lot of friends during this trip.

Bro, there are some norms and requirements for travelling especially in adventure tourism. You have no travel planning and you are completely unequipped with the prerequisites of travelling. This is not the way adventure trips happen. It is not justifiable of blaming government officials are people of remotes valleys. You must have to research and planning before your departure for any trip or visit especially when you are vlogging. This is not the way that you are criticising others for being aware of the pandemic situation, even though you're allowed in the valley. Try to understand the situation and time. I have been to these areas, they are welcoming and hospitable people. Importantly one should have proper timetable and arrangements before you lefts for any trip especially in such hilly areas where are required facilities are lacking. Your trip is totally unplanned and discouraging as I have watched your other vlogs. Try to research and make exclusive planning before moving to areas that are new for you then try to portray the situation. Another thinking portraying the village and expressing people expressions seems embarrassing. I think those days were of lockdown and the people are law-abiding simple people who have managed to stay inside the and the closed shops are also visible.ghost village (Jinnat ki Basti) what rubbish and superstitious I simply can't understand where you people are expressing dreams or real-life events. thumbs down bro

Oh yes, you would have defiantly insisted to stay there. Match bhi nai dekha aur zalel ho kr wapis Insaf bhai k pas raat ko khana khaya.

Oh man sorry for the strange behavior you had faced in mustuj. There is no such scary things but yeah we work at day time and sleep at night so nearly 8pm people sleeping in deep but morning 6am u will find people walking or otw to their daily routine working. Next time take a local tour guide for your convenience.
Very nice videos Brother . Iam also from Mastuj area actually there are some goods guests in Mastuj Town don't know how u couldn't been to any. If you plan to visit Broghal we mostly arrange tours we have a guest house in Booni nd one in yarkhun on way to Broghal.

I was so disappointed when you turned around but glad that you did not give up. I have one question. When in the video Ali Azmat mentioned Chitral Scouts Mess, why did you not try to opt that? As you yourself mentioned your approach to the high-ups.
Actually at that time due to Covid things were kinda different. All Govt and military residence were closed. Before our departure from Booni we had no idea that we might be staying in Mastuj so we didn't ask anyone. I don't discourage going to Mastuj but perhaps our experience was way too out of calculation. . Things just turned normal as we crossed Mastuj.
Bro you should had come to Harchin 25KM from Mastuj you should had met one of the most hospitable people of the world and sorry for the behaviour of Mastuj people.

From your gestures I noticed that your mind was kinda washed already about Mastuj and your fellow in shlwar qameez was adding in your discouragement, you haven't talked to the natives which you had to, as guests are welcomed in every inch of Chitral and point to mention is bazars are mostly occupied by non-native people (as the one in restaurant) their facial expressions were quite obvious. However, you didn't give up, thumbs up, waiting for the next vlog❤
Actually to be honest i was not predetermined but somehow our experience was different and yes me and my fellow buddies were bit exhausted in that situation. By chance we only met 4 to 5 people in bazar and they were kinda non cooperative. I believe it can be an exceptional case but Mastuj is totally safe to travel and you are right about Chitrali people, they are amazingly hospitable.

No Brother. You might be right because It happened with me before. I am not going to hurt feelings of any Chitralis peoples here but the fact is that they are not cooperative at all. I had a bad experience in Chitral. on that way to Garam Chashma!!

how much is it? Please also ask Google to correct the distance shown on navigation.
@@abdulvahabvaince it's 25 km , it reduced from 33 km to 25 km when an alternate route was constructed during the tenure of pervaiz musharaf. It took one hour drive by passenger landcrusier and 1 and half hour by new comers,,
@@mastujaparadise8323 The route i followed was 55 km and google navigation also suggested the same route. You are right there is an alternate route but i was advised by locals from bonni to take the 55kms one. i also checked it on my odometer while coming back from Mastuj, even the distance to Parwak was around 13 to 15 kms. Anyways im glad you added same information here.
