- Hey Guys, this is my latest travel series in which I will be traveling to north eastern parts of Gilgit Baltistan. Areas included in my itinerary are : Rama Valley, Burzil Top, Minimerg, Deosai Plains, Kharmang, Sarfaranga Cold Desert, Skardu & Upper Hunza (Gojal).

Used to live here in 1979/80 at NAWO rest house. There was a proper glacier site a few hundred yards ahead of rest house to the right hand side of the track leading to rama lake. That was my first real glacier in life though trecked/stayed on many more in later days.
Another interesting incident was that while I was staying at rama rest house, a boy and a girl from Holland 🇳🇱came up and requested for a stay there. I told my staff to accommodate them. They lived with me for next few days and became very palsy palsy.
Point to ponder for the reader is that those were different times and rama was a different place altogether than what you see of it today.
Great, It must have been so original and raw back then. First time i was there in 1996, don't remember much but have memorable pictures.
