If music is to transcend time, it also must adapt to stylistic changes. They say historical performances sound better that way. I totally disagree. However, they are interesting.
Sammartini. - Oboenkonzert D. - Dur. - hr. Sinfonie orchester Unfortunately, this is a piece I’m not familiar with. The orchestra play beautifully but it doesn’t do anything for me. I usually like Oboe music but this is one to miss. You have put several pieces of music which I’ve enjoyed listening to. This one is just an unfortunate choice.

I prefer more vibrato. Warms up the sound.
I guess they're trying to stay true to the Baroque style. We get to hear the closest possible replication of what we would have experienced back then.
