    that man is lucky, imagine needing to go to Tulln but in Vienna you accidentally get on the one train per day that runs VIENNA-Eggenburg without intermediate stops 😭 *definitely* never happened to me before

      @TSFTransport  4 месяца назад +2

      Yes, that would be tough. I think this man actually wanted to catch the train to Krems that departs 3 mins later. 😅😬

      @@TSFTransport I lowkey hate that that service is a thing, it not only always passes through Tulln really slowly meaning it might as well just stop (with adjusting the schedule a little) but there‘s also literally no way of telling because it just looks like any regular REX41 service, the only difference I can think of is it uses 3 wagon consists instead of 4
      they should put up a warning or really just give the train a different line number because it‘s not like they‘re running out of those any time soon
      I personally have found only one way of avoiding it, which is precisely memorizing its departure time to make sure I don‘t get on the train at that time

      @@entized5671to be fair, it is a single deck train with an entirely different painting (blue ČD cars). plus the train actually stops in Tulln, however not in Absdorf-Hippersdorf or any other station til Eggenburg.
      It does really stand out from what you‘d usually see in my opinion.

      @@entized5671 So it was not the Silva Nortica but a weekday Waldviertel-Sprinter perhaps?

    Ticket price comparison might be interesting, because the more time you spend on the Austrian side, the more expensive the tickets might get. So, when travelling from Prague to Vienna, the key is to spend as greatest portion of the journey as possible on the Czech territory, where things are cheaper.

    • @TSFTransport
      @TSFTransport  Месяц назад +3

      @@CZpersi Well if you have a Klimaticket (annual ticket for all public transport in Austria), as I do, the Austrian section is "free". But obviously, if you don't have that (which most Czech people obviously don't), traveling via Brno is probably cheaper. But I'll keep the ticket price thing in mind for future videos. 😁

      But I think as far as I know ÖBB offers more cheaper "Sparschiene" Tickets on the Silva Nativa trains, then via Brno.

    The carriage at @9:20 (Bmz229 ?) is a former Austrian carriage, build ~40 years ago, was replaced by the RailJets and sold to CD a few years ago.

      @@michaelknapp9091 Yeah, the Railjet is ok, but not as comfortable as the former carriages. The best thing is also when you ride on it in the dark and you can switch the light off in the compartment. 😅

    The ČD Bmz is obviously a former ÖBB one.

    Schönes Video! 🙂 (die Aussprache der tschechischen Namen könnte noch verbessert werden ;-))
    Ich habe mich die letzten Jahre auch mit dem Zug als Teil meiner "Mit dem Schnellzug durch die Hecke"-Serie auseinandergesetzt.
