I’m about half and half depends on how many there are. If there’s going to be a lot I do it as I go along BTW I just bought the book you showed! I like the rectangle, there are tutorials for granny rectangle blankets Back to the video
Hate it. But I would hate it more if all that work came apart after a wash or something. I crochet over them then use a needle to sew in. I try and have the yarn go through the middle of the yarn of my stitches
Weave in ends as I go. I was taught that. Your bag is a work in progress your lining it and putting it together it’s a sewing project, Sewing takes time.
I wouldn't weave in the ends either. I would tie them off and cut them. It would bug me later if I saw them poking through, but that's me and if you don't care, go for it girl and sew that lining and put some yarn in it!! Great job, it looks great!
I’d count the stitches and see. Tension can be different too and Stiches aren’t Square so if you you’ve looser tension your stitches may be taller so wouldn’t be square. Your case you maybe a tighter crocheter so your stitches are shorter and may need less stitches to be square for something like this square. I’m not sure about the pattern I’ve not done a pattern like it but for regular Grannies I do less chains because I end up with holes. Even with more experience we can still make mistakes or get frustrated with a pattern. It will be awesome to see you later in the year try the square again to see the difference. Glad you’re still going and cannot wait to see your insights and progress
As much as I hate weaving in ends I really would for this bag. It is looking so good it would be a shame if the ends poked through/came undone. I actually really like the rectangle, you are brave for attempting a level 3. I have been crocheting for about the same length of time as you and you are far more advanced than I am.
With a new pattern to you, count the stitches of the previous row add the increases to get that rows unless stitch count is notated this will help with any pattern not just granny squares. It was definitely you added stitches early on and to only 2 sides, so it grew as a rectangle. I ha e crocheted for over 40 years, and even I have to go slow and tead the pattern over and over the 1st, then it's fly like wind. Lol
I don’t have that book. If you can send me that pattern I will see what I can do to help you figure it out. I don’t know everything but I do have 45 + years crocheting . Thanks to my mother, who started me out on granny squares. I would be happy to help. Mean while I’ll see if I can find that pattern .Then I will help you all I can.
Let’s chat about weaving in ends! Love it, hate it…any tips?
IMHO You should weave in the ends! You will get annoyed wrangling them when you are trying to use your bag.

Hate it I never know if I've got them tucked under enough
I love it. It would make a beautiful tapestry
The granny square (rectangle) is so cute! If you figure out what you did you should do more and let us know how you did it!
Thank you for your honesty, I can be very hard on myself when I make mistakes. I have to remind myself that I do this for fun and relaxation ❤

I'd leave the ends lol who would know, the bag looks great 🥳💕

I would make sure that you tie knots in all the yarn ends if you opt out of weaving in the ends, just a suggestion 😊
You could leave the ends since it’s just for you. You’re doing a great job. Can you tell I’m a former teacher?
I would weave in the ends😂
I would weave my ends end but you could just use a small amount of hot glue on your ends to stop them from poking out over time.
@@Timeless.Crochet.Wonders oh I like the hot glue option!!
@@craftymompreneur LOL I had a felling you would. It only works because the bag is lined.
I wonder if it's the way you read the pattern. I need visual reading pattern I struggle with. It's beautiful colour wk tho 😊

@@tkgosselin I admit, I often get soooo confused reading patterns that I resort to looking at the diagrams. That clearly didn’t work this time! 😂
make some more rectangles & make a blanket would look nice
Not imperfections unique design feature
@@juliewylde5238 perfectly imperfect! Love that perspective
@ thank you Tami

I would tie off the rods and clip them short.
