Disney Magic cutaway model Disney Cruise Terminal Port Canaveral FL

A cutaway model of Disney's first cruise ship built way back in 1998 by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, Disney Magic can hold approximately 2,700 passengers. Disney Magic was the first ship in the Disney Cruise line and is built on the same pattern as the Disney Wonder. The Disney Magic sails the European routes, while the Disney Wonder sails to the West Coast in summer. The Disney Wonder is also making a return to Hawaii in 2020.

My parents gave me a lot of Disney VHS tapes in my childhood, but they NEVER once took me on a Disney cruise during that time. 😢

I was one of the model makers that constructed the interior of this cutaway model in the late ‘90s. The exterior and top deck were made over seas then shipped to Southern California were we fabricated the interior. After it was finished it was shipped to Florida. It was damaged upon arrival and my boss and I flew to Florida to fix the damage before the opening of the port and the arrival of the real ship.

0:20 - I would really hate to have one of those cabins at the bow under the water line. The ship runs into anything you're dead.
Crew quarters maybe?

Hopefully they don't run into anything at top speed. Yes there are crew quarters down there. And the medical area in the stern of the ship.

Nobody makes passenger quarters that far down below on a cruise ship. Everybody knows that.
In other words, only go on as a passenger.
