So glad to hear you are enjoying BCS even this early. You are right to see parallels between BCS and BrBa. Thematic elements, call backs , call forwards, references, and parallels ties the two shows together perfectly and enhances both of them.
One of the fascinating things about this series is that you know where he ends up - now you see where he started - and just watching him incrementally inch closer to saul.
Did you guys know the person who plays Saul was a writer on Saturday Night Live? He wrote the famous "Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker" sketch with Chris Farley. He worked a lot with Chris Farley. You should also check out his show on HBO "Mr. Show." Very funny like SNL but better in my opinion.

Besides Walt, Gus, and Mike.. Saul is one of the best characters to come out of the franchise. It gets so good later on.. this is just the slow burn of a good buildup. And yeah.. the Kettlemans (Kettlemens?) are.. shall we say.. off their rockers.
