Thank you for this, i know the fan base can get really toxic sometimes, its sometimes divided by the new people who just joined the clique and the people who have listened since their originals and sometimes meaning is found in the songs they really fpund in their deep times and the clique would like to apologize for the actions taken and said to make u guys feel kinda discomfort for reacting to TØP vids. Thanks for doing this. I know for myself and probably the other fans. We just wanted you to see that raw passion of this specific performance which after you watched I think you did feel that. Hits deep with that agonizing reach for the cleansing of 'water'.
When I had made my own comments before to watch this version they weren't aggressive in the least, but happy. I didn't even feel you needed to make an actual reaction vid for it. Just thought you could watch at your own leisure.
The bulk of the people aren't toxic. Just lots of people connect to their music on such a deep level that it's exciting for them to share!

Whenever y'all do more top in the future, watching those are nice because you can physically see their passion in their performances that you can't while listening to their studio audios
The UG Studios Session and the Live Room studio sessions are pretty cool, they were just signed to their label back then, and it's neat to see their early work and performances, and the state of mind Tyler Joseph was in back then. They recently did a live session for BBC Radio 1 for the Trench album. Cool stuff. Their live performances add a whole other layer to their songs. Not asking you to react to them, but if you really did enjoy the studio session, you may enjoy the other songs from these sessions as well.
In my opinion, this song is one of the best gospel songs ever written. Its right up there with "Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2. Both are cries of the lost to God for guideance.
When I took my son to his first concert in St. Paul, the four people behind us made fun of me because i ddn't dance around. I stood and just listened to the words and tried to interpret their meaning not only to Tyler, but also to me. As a lover of poetry, I became intoxicated with the depth of the soul serching that is so evident in their lyrics.
NICE - the single greatest performance of this song. hands down.

Twenty One Pilots, along with Panic! At The Disco, have really saved my life and seriously helped me a lot in 2018. There was so much going on, but with these two bands, they helped give me the strength and positive energy that I've been needing. And they made me feel like I wasn't alone. I feel that I will forever be in debt to them. I don't know what I would do without them. And I know that I speak for other people on this as well. They really are life savers ❤💙💛🖤

He’s basically pleading to God to come find him. He says “I haven’t found a drop of life. I have found a drop of you” and then says “I hold the water in the palm of my hand because it’s all that I have and it’s all that I need and the waves of the water mean nothing to me. I try my best and all that I can to hold tightly onto what’s left in my hand but no matter how tightly I strain, the sand will slow me down, and the water will drain.” Then he says “of course I’ll be here again, see you tomorrow but it’s the end of today, end of my way, as a walking denial my file was trialed as a crazy suicidal head case. But you specialize in dying, and you hear me screaming “father, I’m lying hear just crying so wash me with your water” He tried so often to find God but he continues to fail. No matter was is holding him back he still tries but he always fails. So he’s turned to asking God to find him.
He pleads to God in multiple songs and I think it’s so great to get it off his chest. He often has battles with himself about whether he believes in God or not, and I love it because I can relate.
