  • Today we install the ADDCO 1" Sway Bar for Jeep WJ! This install was really easy! You will have issues if your Sway Bar bolts are rusted. It makes a huge difference when driving! I've had no sway bar on my Jeep for over a year and putting only the addco in the rear makes a huge difference! It is more stiff when turning than my Stock WJ with front and rear swaybars!

    I Run JKS disconnects in the rear, i took a set of fronts and made them longer and used all the front hardware. I used a piece of 2x2 angle to make a new upper mount.

    OMG Najar. No sway bars. That's crazy. You're going to feel so much more confident cornering, and safer. Funny thing, I too installed an ADDCO 1" sway bar, that I painted red. If you do figure out a quick disconnect, I'm interested. Thanks for the video.

      😂 the person I got it from had painted it red! I thought about painting it black but I decided to just send it and put it on as is👌

    Where did you get the swaybar from

    John, im hoping not, but it might be time to do something with the Varilok in my '04 WJ rear axle. The jeep doesn't do much, if any off-road, if it does, nothing extreme. I'm ok with the idea of replacing the Dana 44hd with a Dana 35(i know i can use a ford 8.8, but on a budget, i dont want to fab a bunch when a '35 will bolt in place, like i said, mostly blacktop use). What limited slip is in the Dana 35, and what kind of difference would it make with the rest of the quadra trac II(transfer case and front axle)?
    Ideally, I'd like to do a SelecTrac swap, cause i wouldn't mind being able to put it in 2wd for daily driving all summer.
    And of course you're thinking the Borla exhaust will sound good after working on the CrackHawk....😂

    With that sway bar, Can use straights sway bar links? I mean, i have the stock sway bar with straight longer sway bar links but didnt fit straight, makes an angle. Or i have to relocate the upper bracket?

  • @riverbankfisher
    @riverbankfisher Месяц назад +1

    The WJ frame is too flimsy to hold that beefier Adco sway bar, and over time that bar will rip a gaping hole in the chassis at the point where it bolts to the chassis. Also, the difference that sturdier-than-stock sway bar makes in everyday driving is negligible. I strongly recommend that you revert back to the stock sway bar because the Adco bar is worthless in every sense.

      Not to mention when I had mine I found the bushings less available to get and not as good as the on the shelf available stock ones... Definitely not a good mod, a much better mod is getting quality bar and proper sized links for the front (adjustable quick disconnect ones suck).

    • @NajarOffroad
      @NajarOffroad  Месяц назад +2

      Yea I’ve read about that! The frame is flimsy but honestly I’m still going to run it! I’ll definitely be taking it off for off-road though

      @NajarOffroad I've had my Addco rear sway bar on for probably 2+ years and it's been worth EVERY penny. It drives massively better and I've had no issues yet. 3" IRO lift and was running a stock sway bar before the Addco. Even with all the IRO adjustable control arms and A-Arm the rear always felt a loose. The Addco sway bar makes it feel fantastic and even more stable that factory.
