Your videos are so good that I watch some of them twice! Bahçede bir köpek var mı? Senin bisikletin var mı? Could you please let me know why ‘bir’ is in the first sentence, but not the second sentence?
Teşekkür ederim! May I ask you to explain why you put an article ("bir") into "benim bir kedim var" (5:00) but omit it in "benim bisikletim var" (9:50)? Is this rule not really strict?
Just wondering, when do you use hic, and when do you not when writing a yok sentence? i noticed that you only used hic when talking about money and not with the others.
We use "hiç" with many things in order to strengthen the meaning. I have no homework = Hiç ödevim yok. (no homework at all) I have no time for this = Bunun için hiç zamanım yok. (no time at all)
Merhaba, benim evimde onun arkadaşımın dört köpek var. Avustralyada koalalar ve kangurular var. Evde insanlar yok. Türkiye'de benim arkadaşım var. (I hope my Turkish is correct?) Teşekkürler!
"-dır" suffix has several functions depending on the context. Here are 2 main functions: 1- For a formal information: Türkiye'de 7 coğrafi bölge vardır. There are 7 geographical regions in Turkey. You can see this kind of sentences in school books or in encyclopedias. 2- For making a guess: Eminim, senin evinde bir kedi vardır. I am sure, there is a cat in your house.

These examples are excellent. Thank you. Is hiç required or optional for emphasis in the sentence Benim hiç param yok?
"Hiç" is optional. You strengthen the meaning by using it. 👍

Rica ederim. In this sort of sentences, generally we do not use "bir" but if you want you can use it and the meaning does not change.
so when it use var like a verb to have it is always with posesive suffix?
thanks

just wondering, can i say "ağaçta hiç/hicbir kuş yok" for "there aren't any birds on the tree"? what's the difference between hic and hicbir?
There isn't any bird on the tree = Ağaçta hiç kuş yok.
None of the birds are flying = Kuşların hiçbiri uçmuyor.
