The best thing about these phrases is that most of them are simply one or two words but are basically an equivalent to an English sentence lol.
So it is a very efficient language but pronunciation is important.

I love Turkish tv series because they actually have a story behind them and I never have to worry about my kiddo coming in and seeing something I don't want them to. I'm slowly getting better at understanding the dialog but have some trouble because of the slang and shortened words. Thank goodness I found Can's videos.

I’ve watched many language videos on RUclips and this one is by far the best for any language I’ve seen. I love how he introduces the words and then applies them to real life scenarios, with images and commentary and the translation and Romanized spelling. It’s cool because you can learn other words from context. It’s a perfectly engaging lesson. He is also very funny!

Warning to International Tourists: English is not spoken widely in Turkey. Istanbul is the only place where many Turks understand English, especially in the tourist hubs for the obvious motive. Outside Istanbul, expect to rely on the translator app. The locals initiate the use of handy app on the smartphone. This makes the visitors even lazier to get interested in even learning a few phrases. As I travel, I try to use the basic phrases along with encouraging the local young people to learn English. It never hurts neither side learning a foreign language to expand the mental horizon by communicating with people from different walks of life.

I just watched your video now .......I’m in the process of learning this beautiful language ......I visited Izmir Turkey 2 weeks ago .......I’m coming to Istanbul in February انشاءالله .
Do you know why I liked your video??? It’s because you use each word or expression in a situation or a real life example ........you also tell us if it’s formal or informal . ......you give us other common alternatives that people use. This is how one teaches a language ..... thank you so much ..... and keep up the good work . شكرا جزيلا على جهودك و ننتظر منك المزيد 🤗🤗

Interesting video. As a Bulgarian I recognized three words we use until this day very frequently and everyone now what they mean: "hic", "tamam" and "zor". But the meaning is a bit changed. For example, "tamam" is used as exactly. "Did I come on time? Tamam on time, you are not late". "Zor" is used for a big hardiness. Example: "I have a lot of work and my deadline is tomorrow. Oh, you see a big Zor".
