Anyways sorry y'alls I ran out of motivation to properly finish this! I also realized half way through doing the line work that I don't like this style but still like the idea :]
Explanation for what's happening [SPOILERS!!!]:
Basically it's a dramatic music video set in limbo right after the ending of Third Life. The screen that Grian walks out of represents the canon ending and the other screen is the ending that he bargains the Watchers for. In the words of my friend: “the reason the watchers decided to go along with his plan,,,,, was not a change of heart and the effort of a well-placed song,,,,, but that they recognized the potential show they could get,,,,, after all,,,,,,,,, theyll do anything for the best content,,,,, they are Watchers after all,,,,,,,,”

BigB - Bass (the "B" stands for bass now)
SolidarityGaming - Back Up Vocals (he's a song bird)
SkizzleMan - Drums (cc!Skizzleman's icon has drum sticks)
RenDog - Synth (I ran out of instruments)

I was actually trying to imply that with the end where Scar is holding the mic and looking up at the Watchers :D It just becomes a loop where the two of them are like "My bestie died D: Time to make a deal with god"

I am going to go insane at how incredible this is, the projector idea is SO creative and so so sooo well-executed and make for the most heartwrenching compositions and transitions, and the moment where Grian genuinely swaps places with Scar??? Literally stopped breathing omg. His realization of it happening felt like I was being repeatedly stabbed in the heart omggg I need to watch this like a hundred more times this is so good

Jesus... This is so fucking heart-wrenching. From the way grian is genuinely depressed and looks so tired as he watches scar's dead body, almost like he's been watching it for days, weeks or even months afterwards, driving him to make the deal to scar not understanding what's happening after grian pushes him away and walks to his death, then scar seeing HIS dead body and having a full mental breakdown, and the watchers being genuinely happy it happened...
Dear God this is so dark, yet so beautiful. I think animatics like these show that the fandom can easily make anything dark and disturbing. You earned yourself a sub my good man.

I’m a sucker for third life angst because out of all the life series it was the most story like and the ending came full circle and it just fit
Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it was scripted to end the way it did
Third life will always be special to me and so will all the content made about it
Also desert duo is too chaotic for this world and the potential they have for fanfics, animatic and such is just too much

This is heartbreaking. I don't think I've shedded more than two tears just from an animatic. And I know that sounds crazy, but this genuinely just stabbed a sword in my heart... Kinda how like Scar destroyed Grian's yellow life... It's amazing and heartbreaking 💔😭👍

I rarely rewatch animatics back to back, but as soon as I finished this, I started it over again. Gosh, that ending hits so hard, and the concept is not only amazing, but you executed it incredibly. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. The angst... also band AUs are the best. I have my own band AU for Boatem, which is a lot of fun, and I'm happy to see someone else has imagined Grian as a lead singer in a music group! Dude, this is hands down one of the best 3rd Life animatics I've ever seen. Phenomenal.

They aren’t real. They’re fabrications to play the other instruments. Only scar and Grian are real.

Also! On my first watch-through I noticed when the watchers went from 5 eyes to a lot of eyes, but I didn’t noticed until just now that they started with 2 originally, and then got more as Grian caught their interest.
So many little details that all come together!

A physical representation of what the song is doing, making a deal with god/convincing them to let him and scar switch places??? And the way that they just grabbed him out of the frame from your last animatic???? AND THE PRIJECTOR IDEA ??? I especially loved. How grian have the salute before just disappearing under fhe screen???? AMAIZNG TRANSITION!! AAAAAAA ITS ALL SO GOOD!!!

I love absolutely everything about this. The way you've used the project images and the way they interact with it. You can feel Scar and Grian's pain. The lyrics.
