All the little details and just showing how Grian avoids Scar- It's all so satisfying. And the way the lyrics match so well. I am not okay with this.
this used to be one of the songs i would have reoccuring mental breakdowns to, i would listen to it when i needed to cry. seeing this brought me so much comfort and sadness, this might be my favorite desertduo animatic, i love it so much. you're amazing at animating, and im so glad you chose this song, love it
Oh my gosh, this is so amazing, I'm just going to word vomit here because I can't express how much i dearly dearly love this. First off, I knew from the moment I saw ikanaide in the title (and mafumafus cover too :D!) this was going to absolutely destroy my emotions, and it DID. The absolute longing and melancholy in this, the switching back n forth of who says "Don't go", their looks of grief as they keep turning away from each other.... Absolutely immaculate. You're so amazing at nailing their expressions! Like the bit at 0:36-0:40, I love the timing of Grian kneeling down and then his expression combined with "I'm simply watching"!! the pang in my heart!! The way they just keep LOOKING at each other! The way Grian is desperately trying to keep Scar from falling into the zombie pit, and that final desperate lunge to try and grab him as his hand slips!! I adore all the details of this, and it's all animated so so so well. This makes me feel so sick with longing and melancholy, aka this the IDEAL ikanaide experience, 10/10 would get my emotions destroyed again

I love the bit where grian's trying to hold onto scar and prevent him from falling into the zombie pit in DL, and I LOVE the winners in your style!! also that transition from grian pledging his life to scar RIGHT to the cactus ring with scar's dead body (also the way you drew that was so good, the tears falling on him....) ALSO watching it now (Secret life spoilers) aa it's so nice that the crown CAN pass onto scar now too...
Ikanaide is such a good song for a life series animatic. And the animatic was really good too. The subtitles translating the song was also good because I had never looked into the actual meaning of the song.

Personal head canon: Grian started out with 2 lives in Last Life because he brought down Scar to his second in the very beginning of 3rd Life.
