Bruh, whoever did that scene with etho blocking "cleo"(aka the gem switch-a-roo) and Grian getting tricked by "pearl"(aka lizzie switch-a-roo) did amazing! The subtle detail of the hair styles on both of them and the noticeable size difference in the cleo/gem counterpart was amazing!
Oh goodness, the brutality of Etho killing Skizz, despite it being just silhoulette, is absolutely chilling. So many great artists, and the final result sums up to a greater amount than its parts. Brilliant job!
this is actually the best thing ever - every single animator’s part was wonderful and everyone should be proud of themselves. this is absolutely incredible and not to mention the script and song choice are great. gonna rewatch this so many times, man !! this is probably my favourite example of artists collaborating in this fandom and it was just done so well and AUGHHH it’s just one of my favourite things now
I love the transition at 2:12 ! Cleo's emotionless face while attacking Etho,and him barely noticing qnd immediately blocking it,and with another transition,tripping and save into a taunt! Everyone who worked on this did an amazing job,each with their own unique art style!This is probably the single best piece of Life Series animation I've ever seen!Thanks you and the team for bringing us this wonderful masterpiece.
Yes, also the little nods to the fact that it was actually Gem in control with the antlers and such. Also- The transition between normal Pearl and the version of her with Lizzie in control is just aaaaagh yes

That scene or skizz running out of time looked so brutal because of the head, you know. It looks amazing and makes it even more sad. It’s such a cool project seeing so many people work on one animatic. All the members of the life series get to shine in this and the different animations still playing into one another is such a fantastic feat. To all the animators, you all did an amazing job💛
Yass and the small animation details like the slight screen shake to feel the weight of axe, and tango and impulse moving to his side for a last embrace hits hard. Especially with all the visual and music build up for that moment.
I’ve analyzed this work a couple times now, here’s all of the little Easter eggs And details I’ve noticed The animatic starts off with pearl holding 3 hearts, I’m assuming that since she won Double life, she leads into Limited life. The following scenes are The locations of where each base was before they actually had structures. The next scene shows all the players in a circle, and the next shows the line of when they all died, Jimmy 1st, Skizz 2nd, Joel 3rd Bdubs 4th And so on and so on ending with Martyn, who won. 0:22 this shows Grian walking with all of his past deaths highlighted he also charged from Season to season, its minor, burn I noticed. The final Fight with scar in 3rd life this also shows Grian with his sleeves rolled up probably due to the heat of desert. Staring down Scott’s Arrow in Last Life, he’s also wearing his White Collar. The Sonically Charged Shriek from the warden in Double Life, he’s seen with a bandaged eye, a Red bandanna around his collar, and a yellow string connecting from husband hand. The scene right after his Final Deaths, show Grian with Purple eyes, this is from Martyn’s lore of Grian being a Watcher. 0:25 - 0:31 doesn’t show anything of note other then Pearl meeting most of the server, ending with Cleo, Scar, and Bdubs, also it shows Cleo being a responsible mother and keeping the valuable things away from scar. 0:32 shows the creation of TIES, starting with Tango and Impulse, Etho And Skizz, till they all meet up and look out at the Cows, which leads directly into our next scene. 0:39 This shows us all of Skizz’s Session 1 Deaths, the Boogey from Scott, the Boogey Kill from Bdubs, and the Creeper that got him and Impulse, ending with him and TIES, with Skizz contemplating the 5 hours he lost, not too mention time a session takes. 0:47 gives us Pearl and BigB meeting with the frogs, and Froggy their Cat, this creates the Nosy Neighbours. 0:54 once again shows up Pearl and BigB looking out at the Sunset, with a Watcher Eye always peering down at them. 1:00 shows us Jimmy and Joel’s first Deaths as they plunge directly into Lava, they respawn in the Bad Boy clothing, and recruit Grian after the whole ordeal, with Grian being skeptical at first, but dawning the clothes immediately, this Creates the Bad Boys. 1:08 shows Scott building his island, with finding Martyn in the Water, creating the Mean Gills. 1:16 Gives us the cool scene of Thebes Mansion Burning as the Bad Boys try and clear the flames, we also see Cleo, with the Flint and steel in hand, and Bdubs and Scar cheering her on. 1:22 this shows us the First Yellow, Skizz when he was talking with a Scar and Cleo about an alliance, this also shows us how everyone goes Yellow. Cleo, BigB, Scar, Martyn, Joel, Etho And Pearl all go Yellow by simply Running out of time. Bdubs dies by Martyn in pvp, Scott also dies my Martyn as a sacrifice to prevent anyone else from having it. Tango, Grian, Impulse, And Jimmy all get Blown up into Yellow. That transitions into an hourglass showing how now their gonna start dropping in Red sand. 1:30 This shows the Awkward Family Supper between Bdubs, Scar, Cleo, And Etho. 1:37 Features Scar as he Remembers Double Life while he’s kidnapping Grian, and that transitions into Him blowing up Jimmy, Grian, And Cleo. This also shows how Grian died to Martyn’s Pufferfish with it ending in him in the Chamber Have a 1-sided conversation with Scar about he’s had a bad day, it also flashes from Third Life to Limited Life. 1:44 shows Scott and Jimmy discussing if Jimmy can have Scott’s time. Scott declines and suggests he kills Tango instead, Jimmy begrudgingly agrees. 1:52 shows the top-down View of Skynet, with Impulse’s Kill on Joel and Jimmy. 1:59 this gives us Rivalry between The Clockers and The Nosy Neighbours. 2:06 shows us Grian mining for Tango as he’s the Last Green, With Tango escaping and letting Skizz kill him. 2:13 shows us how Gem Attacked Etho during Awkward Family Supper pt2, with the Transition into Lizzie’s Boogey Kill in Grian. 2:20 dust clears on Martyn’s Birthday, as we see the Mine-carts falling, Martyn extinguishes the campfire, and blows us the Rigged TNT underneath. 2:28 Jimmy dies being the first to fall, as Joel and Grian watch, they look down at his grave, Joel has his sword drawn as he’s goes on a rampage right after the death of Jimmy. 2:34 Skizz sacrifices himself to Etho on Skynet, as the other members of TIES watch. 2:41 shows Joel Skipping across clock to clock, as he goes from 8 minutes to 1 hour, down to 5 minutes all in a few seconds, Joel doesn’t by Scott. 2:49 Bdubs dies unexpectedly by Impulse, and Tango attempts to kill Scar, although trips over his own feet and dies to a 3 block jump. The scene ends with Grian Killing Scar by stabbing him in the Back. 2:58 Pearl kills Cleo right after Scar dies, next scene shows The Diamond Sword alliance Saving Grian on Skynet as Him and Etho Ally. 3:05 BigB gets shot by Scott almost Escaping from the Arrow. This Transitions into Grian’s final death as he falls on the Mansion from Skynet. 3:12 shows Etho fighting Scott and Martyn, only to get hit off and die to fall damage. Pearls fights in the water, Martyn escapes, and she stares down scott, Dying milliseconds later. 3:20 Impulse and Scott are gonna have a final showdown in a honorable fist fight, although Martyn cuts down Scott, Impulse draws his sword but is took late, and Martyn kills him too. 3:27 shows the Watcher eyes, Looking down at Martyn with a blood soaked blade, as he won Limited Life.
WOWW! Absolutely amazing!! This was so well put together, everything flows so well it’s so good!! Every single animator did amazing! I also just wanna point out how clever the framing is at 1:29 , nice!!
Absolutely stunning work from all of the artists. I can confidently say this is one of the best MAPs I've ever seen, from the traffic fandom or otherwise. That animation of Lizzie tripping Grian? Martyn kicking the campfire as the birthday party explodes behind him? Joel running out of time??? So many iconic moments and you all made them look INCREDIBLE. What an amazing work of art!!!! Battle cry got some competition! I love how adorable the nosy neighbours look in their first scene (around 0:59), everything with Etho is great, the scene with Martyn kicking dirt on the fire looks sick- the explosion in the back seemed quite Tony Stark esque and Joel’s death is amazing A cool detail I noticed- Cleo is consistently drawn with a larger body type than most of the others, but Geminicleo is quite slim

I just realized the brilliance of Timmy discussing a trade for time with Scott right before the line "to keep the pulse alive in you." This is such a well-executed animation, props to everyone involved!
This is the reason I became an animator. Holy crud. I am feeling so many feelings. Amazement. Wonder. Pride to be a part of this community (or at least think myself as a part of it) uncontrollable joy. Excitement. A sense of nostalgia. Loving jealacy, a wish to do something like this myself one day. Hope. And so much happiness. Tremendous amounts of happiness.

I am FREAKING out about the scene at 2:15 like HOLY SHIT. THIS IS AMAZING!!!!! I love all of this!!! The song is a good pick, the artists are all phenomenal, it's all very fluid and well put together, and I'm in love. I will kill and bite people over this i swear

Congrats to everyone who worked on this, it looks amazing and the transitions between each part flow nicely :D (I may add timestamps later it's early morning here, worth the wait though! I'll slowly make my way through it all) 0:00 The opening by Hollisdaize is lovely, (I like the mix of a traditional and analog clock, a very fun idea, and having pearl be the one introducing the animation since she won the previous series/game (my memory may be wrong but I believe Double Life was the series before Limited)) 0:12 The backgrounds here by Snowhearer look amazing, my favorite is probably here with the shot including the border. The colors are lovely and serve as a nice intro (It also helps I can't draw backgrounds for the life of me so honestly it's always been impresive to me) 0:19 (Part by Isjasz) Even with Grian's back to the audience he looks almost excited with his arms spread like that, a nice touch. Then transitioning to each of his deaths to conclude with the Watcher purple in his eyes. Immediately connecting him back to the clock flashing at the beginning. All of the character designs here look on point, and from my experience perspective like that is a bit hard to do so props to Isjasz. (I am also a big fan of the Grian being a ringmaster of sorts for the games, which he is IRL but it definitely feels a bit more "in-character" for Limited Life) 0:29 (Part by Crykng) I really like the more cartoonish artstyle here, especially with the (I think this is the series they were the Clockers?), they look silly in a very good way and I'm a sucker for artists who do little dot eyes to show how far away characters are, reminds me a bit of Hilda 0:34 (Part by Moonbigs (Feels like a reference now that I've watched Hermitcraft lol)) The soft glow on Skizz and Etho looks very natural and again the character designs look great (That's going to be a common compliment lol) and I love the added bow ties/tie on Etho, Tango, and Impulse because of the group name T.I.E.S 0:41 (Part by Seawaveleo) The expressions on skizz are on point, you really feel his sheer panic and later his dread with the clock literally looming over him as his time is running out (And that feeling is only amplified by it's contrast with the rest of T.I.E.S and their smiling faces, only highlighting Skizz looking thouroughly distressed and for good reason) I also really enjoy the artstyle here and the coloring (Again a common compliment but a sincere one nonetheless) 0:50 (Part by Milla) I've never really seen the perspectives of BigB or Pearl but even without here they look incredibly wholesome, it's a very cute artstyle and I think it helps to send that tone. (Overall very cute/loveable and I have no clue if that aged poorly or not, again I never saw their perspectives) 0:56 (Part by Fancywen) Each frame here looks like a cozy little painting, I know next to nothing about digital art (I only do traditional) so I'm not sure how the look was achieved but I like the textured feel to it, especially with the lighting. 1:06 (Part by LocalWheel) I find it funny just hie confused Grian looks, going from skeptical to a michevious smirk once he joins the Bad Boys. Jimmy's death was also portrayed nicely, just the allusion to falling feathers. Grian having black/red feathers is also particularly fitting, the artstyle is lovely aswell (I will probably finish this sometime later this week, it's been an hour and I'm a third of the way, I'll hopefully get around to the rest, but just in case I forget: all of y'all did great, major props to the hosts, animators, and anyone else who worked on this, it turned out great and was a great suprise to wake up to this morning, congrats to all of you, be proud of this)
@@moonbigsThat's great it's a reference lol, and I was wondering if that was the case, I've never been on the inside working on a MAP project, so I suppose compliments to those who made the reference sheets. Though still just as much to each of you whose artstyles gave a different light to each of them. Just out of curiosity was there a storyboard you all went off of? Like each given a select part of the series to represent or just given key moments/frames you had to hit for transitioning part to part?

2:14-2:20 is my favorite the kick thingy “pearl” did is so creative and love that pearl and Cleo’s kills are in the video(this video is going to be the reason I rewatch limited life even tho I consider it my least favorite out of the life series)
This is one of the best animations for sure but I just can’t get over the part at 2:13. The transition from GeminiCleo to Pearl/Lizzie is so well done and the expressions are insane

absolutely LOVE this animation, my favorite part has got to be skizz's last death, the happiness skizz shows as he hands the axe over to etho, the horror on tango and impulses faces, etho closing his eyes as he pulls the axe back and over his head- then kills skizz and etho falls to the ground on his knees. impulse and tango stumbling over to the body of their teammate god its so good

The shot of Lizzie tripping Grian and holding him over the lava is a genius interpretation of the clip, and I love the way it's animated! Kudos to you all, this looks amazing!
There are so many amazing moments that made me gasp, but the Pearl & Cleo going yellow at the same time in particular is SUCH a striking moment & visual. Incredible job yall, I know so often MAPs fall apart or take multiple years to coordinate as people drop out, have issues, etc, so getting this done in 8 months is NUTS and I hope everyone involved is exceptionally proud

THIS WAS SOO COOL OMG???? The absolute care and devotion of every single artist to every single player was so delightful to watch. I keep rewatching this and noticing new and exciting details every time. There is really something here for everyone, and I hope that you all get the attention you sincerely deserve! Oh my GOD this is absolutely amazing!!! I applied to be in this map all those months ago and now i see why I didnt get in, because of the phenomenal skill already displayed here!!! Isjasz's part with Grain at the start is SOOOOOOO COOL I cant get over it!! seawaveleo's Skizz design is so good! They make his little sleeve tufts look like tiny wings, which is perfect!! Not to mention all the clock imagery in their part! Milla's part is just so pretty and makes you feel all nice and cozy! Forgetfulmachine, oh my god. I think this might be my favorite part in the whole map. I'm stunned and amazed and your creativity and thought to make like almost a stained glass type thing with all the little sections of different characters and scenes that start out and come in to form the hourglass??!?!??!?!?! like im insane over that, ur utterly bonkers for that i'll never be over it. VESPERIONNOX WITH THE FLASHBACK TO 3RD LIFT AUUUGHHHHH THEY LOOK SO TIRED WAAAA milkypiffybeans is sooo amazing like oh my god. The top-down shot the zoom in on TIES and then the bad boys at the bottom and its just!!!!! corner critter i just love that little end frame of pearl and cleo like >:)!! its just!! and reilios with the tango part its just so good i love your style and the frantic nature of that scene you got so good!! and myanii omg, I love your altered designs for Cleo and Pearl when they are being possessed and them preforming their kills!! its just so so good. The way moony does the weight of martyn kicking out the campfire is sososo good and the wind blowing and the detailed background is just!! wow!! liauditore the way you show the weight of etho's kill on skizz is so so so good, and the way it just holds, AUGH!! LUMIRIIN WITH THE JOEL PART OF HIM LIKE RUNNING OUT OF TIME AND RUNNING ON THE CLOCKS TO LIKE SHOW HIS DESPERATION FOR MORE TIME!!!! ITS SO GOOD AND ITS SO FAST UP TIL HE RUNS OUT AND THEN IT JUST STOPS LIKE OMG and skelebells for that final shot and leading up to it, wow just wow. the lore and the watchers and !!!! its everything this whole thing is just so so so good. If I didn't point our your part specifically, know that i still absolutly loved it and everything was just beautiful. everyone should feel incredibly proud of what they did!!

genuinely one of my favourite animatics, many props to everyone that worked on this- one of my favorite things are the bits of continuity like jimmy & joel having one brown and one blue/green eye (at least im pretty sure joel does?? lol), pearl's little moon pin, the flowers in cleo's hair, the T.I.E.S ties, grian's wings being black and red- oughhh its so goooddd

Insane project!!! Crazy art and my favorite part was 2:18 with the taunting and confusion of Grian. Im suprised this hasn't blown up as fast as other art project had. (Edit) I just have to announce that the single door on the coral isles. Lmao. And only like 3 bamboo patches or sugar cane patches.
Absolutely phenomenal. I especially love the portion for when Gem and Lizzie subbed in, and they look mostly like their counterparts. Heck, I didn't realize that was Gem at first, but the way she masterfully used the sword and instilled fear into Etho, it became obvious very quickly.

oh my god. im late but this is so amazing and the part with grian and scar remembering to third life by the artist who did my absolute favorite desert duo third life animatic?? made me have to pause the video and freak out SO GOOD
This is *easily* the best piece of animation to bless this small but dedicated animation community. I watched Battle Cry (another Limited Life animation), but honestly, however amazing that was, I don't think it can come close to this. I never would've imagined that a proper, fully finished and colored, competently made Life Series-related animated short that is decently long as well mind you, would ever be made, but I suppose this masterpiece has proven me wrong! It is neither an unfinished animated sketch nor a collage of mostly un-animated illustrations _(Not like I have ANYTHING against them, far form it, they have their own unique charm and not everybody has the capability to make something that would've for sure taken this long to create)._ The fact that it's a multiple animator collaboration makes a lot of sense, as one person would've probably taken a good decade to make something like this, but still, DAMN, that is a crap ton of effort that would've gone into this, much less how much hassle it would've been to oversee such a project. Overall I am not a huge fan of big reanimation collabs like this, because they tend to be inconsistent and a huge jumble of different ideas, art and animation styles clumped together and thrown against a wall to see if it'll stick or not (Spoiler alert, usually it does not or only partially does), but I am genuinely flabbergasted at how INSANELY consistent this one's quality is all throughout. I could go into a full on essay mode as I like to do (Well I already kind of did), detailing all the spectacular decisions, choices and attentions to detail that this has, on top of just spectacular art and animation (And how well the song fits), but I will restrain myself, because all of it is already apparent in the end result! Bravo ya'll, BRAVO. These are the kinds of aspiring animators we desperately need *more of* in this world of ever-growing soulless content milking of this spectacular medium.
The gem/cleo part was so good because you could JUST tell and it was so subtle, well done!!! Also the family dinner was perfect. Whole thing reminds me of a warrior cats map, with all the unique styles combined into one. There need to be more maps in this fandom.
I have probably watched this ten times over, I can’t get over how well done this is. Amazing job to all the artists and animators, this is officially my favorite animatic.

Bruh, whoever did that scene with etho blocking "cleo"(aka the gem switch-a-roo) and Grian getting tricked by "pearl"(aka lizzie switch-a-roo) did amazing! The subtle detail of the hair styles on both of them and the noticeable size difference in the cleo/gem counterpart was amazing!

Oh goodness, the brutality of Etho killing Skizz, despite it being just silhoulette, is absolutely chilling. So many great artists, and the final result sums up to a greater amount than its parts. Brilliant job!

Yass and the small animation details like the slight screen shake to feel the weight of axe, and tango and impulse moving to his side for a last embrace hits hard. Especially with all the visual and music build up for that moment.

I had so much fun working on this!!! It was so fun watching it come together with y'all
I’ve analyzed this work a couple times now, here’s all of the little Easter eggs And details I’ve noticed
The animatic starts off with pearl holding 3 hearts, I’m assuming that since she won Double life, she leads into Limited life.
The following scenes are The locations of where each base was before they actually had structures.
The next scene shows all the players in a circle, and the next shows the line of when they all died, Jimmy 1st, Skizz 2nd, Joel 3rd Bdubs 4th And so on and so on ending with Martyn, who won.
0:22 this shows Grian walking with all of his past deaths highlighted he also charged from Season to season, its minor, burn I noticed.
The final Fight with scar in 3rd life this also shows Grian with his sleeves rolled up probably due to the heat of desert.
Staring down Scott’s Arrow in Last Life, he’s also wearing his White Collar.
The Sonically Charged Shriek from the warden in Double Life, he’s seen with a bandaged eye, a Red bandanna around his collar, and a yellow string connecting from husband hand.
The scene right after his Final Deaths, show Grian with Purple eyes, this is from Martyn’s lore of Grian being a Watcher.
0:25 - 0:31 doesn’t show anything of note other then Pearl meeting most of the server, ending with Cleo, Scar, and Bdubs, also it shows Cleo being a responsible mother and keeping the valuable things away from scar.
0:32 shows the creation of TIES, starting with Tango and Impulse, Etho And Skizz, till they all meet up and look out at the Cows, which leads directly into our next scene.
0:39 This shows us all of Skizz’s Session 1 Deaths, the Boogey from Scott, the Boogey Kill from Bdubs, and the Creeper that got him and Impulse, ending with him and TIES, with Skizz contemplating the 5 hours he lost, not too mention time a session takes.
0:47 gives us Pearl and BigB meeting with the frogs, and Froggy their Cat, this creates the Nosy Neighbours.
0:54 once again shows up Pearl and BigB looking out at the Sunset, with a Watcher Eye always peering down at them.
1:00 shows us Jimmy and Joel’s first Deaths as they plunge directly into Lava, they respawn in the Bad Boy clothing, and recruit Grian after the whole ordeal, with Grian being skeptical at first, but dawning the clothes immediately, this Creates the Bad Boys.
1:08 shows Scott building his island, with finding Martyn in the Water, creating the Mean Gills.
1:16 Gives us the cool scene of Thebes Mansion Burning as the Bad Boys try and clear the flames, we also see Cleo, with the Flint and steel in hand, and Bdubs and Scar cheering her on.
1:22 this shows us the First Yellow, Skizz when he was talking with a Scar and Cleo about an alliance, this also shows us how everyone goes Yellow.
Cleo, BigB, Scar, Martyn, Joel, Etho And Pearl all go Yellow by simply Running out of time.
Bdubs dies by Martyn in pvp, Scott also dies my Martyn as a sacrifice to prevent anyone else from having it.
Tango, Grian, Impulse, And Jimmy all get Blown up into Yellow.
That transitions into an hourglass showing how now their gonna start dropping in Red sand.
1:30 This shows the Awkward Family Supper between Bdubs, Scar, Cleo, And Etho.
1:37 Features Scar as he Remembers Double Life while he’s kidnapping Grian, and that transitions into Him blowing up Jimmy, Grian, And Cleo.
This also shows how Grian died to Martyn’s Pufferfish with it ending in him in the Chamber Have a 1-sided conversation with Scar about he’s had a bad day, it also flashes from Third Life to Limited Life.
1:44 shows Scott and Jimmy discussing if Jimmy can have Scott’s time. Scott declines and suggests he kills Tango instead, Jimmy begrudgingly agrees.
1:52 shows the top-down View of Skynet, with Impulse’s Kill on Joel and Jimmy.
1:59 this gives us Rivalry between The Clockers and The Nosy Neighbours.
2:06 shows us Grian mining for Tango as he’s the Last Green, With Tango escaping and letting Skizz kill him.
2:13 shows us how Gem Attacked Etho during Awkward Family Supper pt2, with the Transition into Lizzie’s Boogey Kill in Grian.
2:20 dust clears on Martyn’s Birthday, as we see the Mine-carts falling, Martyn extinguishes the campfire, and blows us the Rigged TNT underneath.
2:28 Jimmy dies being the first to fall, as Joel and Grian watch, they look down at his grave, Joel has his sword drawn as he’s goes on a rampage right after the death of Jimmy.
2:34 Skizz sacrifices himself to Etho on Skynet, as the other members of TIES watch.
2:41 shows Joel Skipping across clock to clock, as he goes from 8 minutes to 1 hour, down to 5 minutes all in a few seconds, Joel doesn’t by Scott.
2:49 Bdubs dies unexpectedly by Impulse, and Tango attempts to kill Scar, although trips over his own feet and dies to a 3 block jump. The scene ends with Grian Killing Scar by stabbing him in the Back.
2:58 Pearl kills Cleo right after Scar dies, next scene shows The Diamond Sword alliance Saving Grian on Skynet as Him and Etho Ally.
3:05 BigB gets shot by Scott almost Escaping from the Arrow. This Transitions into Grian’s final death as he falls on the Mansion from Skynet.
3:12 shows Etho fighting Scott and Martyn, only to get hit off and die to fall damage.
Pearls fights in the water, Martyn escapes, and she stares down scott, Dying milliseconds later.
3:20 Impulse and Scott are gonna have a final showdown in a honorable fist fight, although Martyn cuts down Scott, Impulse draws his sword but is took late, and Martyn kills him too.
3:27 shows the Watcher eyes, Looking down at Martyn with a blood soaked blade, as he won Limited Life.
One correction to make. 1:44 is when Scott asks if Jimmy can leave him last, and he'll give Jimmy his time. Jimmy told Scott he had 30 seconds to run.

I love how adorable the nosy neighbours look in their first scene (around 0:59), everything with Etho is great, the scene with Martyn kicking dirt on the fire looks sick- the explosion in the back seemed quite Tony Stark esque and Joel’s death is amazing
A cool detail I noticed- Cleo is consistently drawn with a larger body type than most of the others, but Geminicleo is quite slim

0:00 The opening by Hollisdaize is lovely, (I like the mix of a traditional and analog clock, a very fun idea, and having pearl be the one introducing the animation since she won the previous series/game (my memory may be wrong but I believe Double Life was the series before Limited))
0:12 The backgrounds here by Snowhearer look amazing, my favorite is probably here with the shot including the border. The colors are lovely and serve as a nice intro (It also helps I can't draw backgrounds for the life of me so honestly it's always been impresive to me)
0:19 (Part by Isjasz) Even with Grian's back to the audience he looks almost excited with his arms spread like that, a nice touch. Then transitioning to each of his deaths to conclude with the Watcher purple in his eyes. Immediately connecting him back to the clock flashing at the beginning. All of the character designs here look on point, and from my experience perspective like that is a bit hard to do so props to Isjasz. (I am also a big fan of the Grian being a ringmaster of sorts for the games, which he is IRL but it definitely feels a bit more "in-character" for Limited Life)
0:29 (Part by Crykng) I really like the more cartoonish artstyle here, especially with the (I think this is the series they were the Clockers?), they look silly in a very good way and I'm a sucker for artists who do little dot eyes to show how far away characters are, reminds me a bit of Hilda
0:34 (Part by Moonbigs (Feels like a reference now that I've watched Hermitcraft lol)) The soft glow on Skizz and Etho looks very natural and again the character designs look great (That's going to be a common compliment lol) and I love the added bow ties/tie on Etho, Tango, and Impulse because of the group name T.I.E.S
0:41 (Part by Seawaveleo) The expressions on skizz are on point, you really feel his sheer panic and later his dread with the clock literally looming over him as his time is running out (And that feeling is only amplified by it's contrast with the rest of T.I.E.S and their smiling faces, only highlighting Skizz looking thouroughly distressed and for good reason) I also really enjoy the artstyle here and the coloring (Again a common compliment but a sincere one nonetheless)
0:50 (Part by Milla) I've never really seen the perspectives of BigB or Pearl but even without here they look incredibly wholesome, it's a very cute artstyle and I think it helps to send that tone. (Overall very cute/loveable and I have no clue if that aged poorly or not, again I never saw their perspectives)
0:56 (Part by Fancywen) Each frame here looks like a cozy little painting, I know next to nothing about digital art (I only do traditional) so I'm not sure how the look was achieved but I like the textured feel to it, especially with the lighting.
1:06 (Part by LocalWheel) I find it funny just hie confused Grian looks, going from skeptical to a michevious smirk once he joins the Bad Boys. Jimmy's death was also portrayed nicely, just the allusion to falling feathers. Grian having black/red feathers is also particularly fitting, the artstyle is lovely aswell

@@moonbigsThat's great it's a reference lol, and I was wondering if that was the case, I've never been on the inside working on a MAP project, so I suppose compliments to those who made the reference sheets. Though still just as much to each of you whose artstyles gave a different light to each of them.
Just out of curiosity was there a storyboard you all went off of? Like each given a select part of the series to represent or just given key moments/frames you had to hit for transitioning part to part?
@@Firefly992 We worked off parts and prompts!! The hosts planned which reference in limited life each part could do, and the rest is the animators' creative liberty :D
@@Firefly992 hello! host here, we had a script that detailed which part of the music would go along with which bit of the story, and then a separate character design sheet that people followed for the people in their part (these are both public, you can check them out on the MAP call video on this same channel!

2:14-2:20 is my favorite the kick thingy “pearl” did is so creative and love that pearl and Cleo’s kills are in the video(this video is going to be the reason I rewatch limited life even tho I consider it my least favorite out of the life series)
This is one of the best animations for sure but I just can’t get over the part at 2:13. The transition from GeminiCleo to Pearl/Lizzie is so well done and the expressions are insane

absolutely LOVE this animation, my favorite part has got to be skizz's last death, the happiness skizz shows as he hands the axe over to etho, the horror on tango and impulses faces, etho closing his eyes as he pulls the axe back and over his head-
then kills skizz and etho falls to the ground on his knees.

There are so many amazing moments that made me gasp, but the Pearl & Cleo going yellow at the same time in particular is SUCH a striking moment & visual. Incredible job yall, I know so often MAPs fall apart or take multiple years to coordinate as people drop out, have issues, etc, so getting this done in 8 months is NUTS and I hope everyone involved is exceptionally proud

Oh my GOD this is absolutely amazing!!! I applied to be in this map all those months ago and now i see why I didnt get in, because of the phenomenal skill already displayed here!!! Isjasz's part with Grain at the start is SOOOOOOO COOL I cant get over it!! seawaveleo's Skizz design is so good! They make his little sleeve tufts look like tiny wings, which is perfect!! Not to mention all the clock imagery in their part! Milla's part is just so pretty and makes you feel all nice and cozy! Forgetfulmachine, oh my god. I think this might be my favorite part in the whole map. I'm stunned and amazed and your creativity and thought to make like almost a stained glass type thing with all the little sections of different characters and scenes that start out and come in to form the hourglass??!?!??!?!?! like im insane over that, ur utterly bonkers for that i'll never be over it. VESPERIONNOX WITH THE FLASHBACK TO 3RD LIFT AUUUGHHHHH THEY LOOK SO TIRED WAAAA milkypiffybeans is sooo amazing like oh my god. The top-down shot the zoom in on TIES and then the bad boys at the bottom and its just!!!!! corner critter i just love that little end frame of pearl and cleo like >:)!! its just!! and reilios with the tango part its just so good i love your style and the frantic nature of that scene you got so good!! and myanii omg, I love your altered designs for Cleo and Pearl when they are being possessed and them preforming their kills!! its just so so good. The way moony does the weight of martyn kicking out the campfire is sososo good and the wind blowing and the detailed background is just!! wow!! liauditore the way you show the weight of etho's kill on skizz is so so so good, and the way it just holds, AUGH!! LUMIRIIN WITH THE JOEL PART OF HIM LIKE RUNNING OUT OF TIME AND RUNNING ON THE CLOCKS TO LIKE SHOW HIS DESPERATION FOR MORE TIME!!!! ITS SO GOOD AND ITS SO FAST UP TIL HE RUNS OUT AND THEN IT JUST STOPS LIKE OMG and skelebells for that final shot and leading up to it, wow just wow. the lore and the watchers and !!!! its everything this whole thing is just so so so good. If I didn't point our your part specifically, know that i still absolutly loved it and everything was just beautiful. everyone should feel incredibly proud of what they did!!

genuinely one of my favourite animatics, many props to everyone that worked on this- one of my favorite things are the bits of continuity like jimmy & joel having one brown and one blue/green eye (at least im pretty sure joel does?? lol), pearl's little moon pin, the flowers in cleo's hair, the T.I.E.S ties, grian's wings being black and red- oughhh its so goooddd

Insane project!!! Crazy art and my favorite part was 2:18 with the taunting and confusion of Grian. Im suprised this hasn't blown up as fast as other art project had.
(Edit) I just have to announce that the single door on the coral isles. Lmao. And only like 3 bamboo patches or sugar cane patches.

Absolutely phenomenal. I especially love the portion for when Gem and Lizzie subbed in, and they look mostly like their counterparts. Heck, I didn't realize that was Gem at first, but the way she masterfully used the sword and instilled fear into Etho, it became obvious very quickly.

oh my god this is SO GOOD. i always forget how good limited life was.
This is *easily* the best piece of animation to bless this small but dedicated animation community. I watched Battle Cry (another Limited Life animation), but honestly, however amazing that was, I don't think it can come close to this. I never would've imagined that a proper, fully finished and colored, competently made Life Series-related animated short that is decently long as well mind you, would ever be made, but I suppose this masterpiece has proven me wrong! It is neither an unfinished animated sketch nor a collage of mostly un-animated illustrations _(Not like I have ANYTHING against them, far form it, they have their own unique charm and not everybody has the capability to make something that would've for sure taken this long to create)._ The fact that it's a multiple animator collaboration makes a lot of sense, as one person would've probably taken a good decade to make something like this, but still, DAMN, that is a crap ton of effort that would've gone into this, much less how much hassle it would've been to oversee such a project. Overall I am not a huge fan of big reanimation collabs like this, because they tend to be inconsistent and a huge jumble of different ideas, art and animation styles clumped together and thrown against a wall to see if it'll stick or not (Spoiler alert, usually it does not or only partially does), but I am genuinely flabbergasted at how INSANELY consistent this one's quality is all throughout. I could go into a full on essay mode as I like to do (Well I already kind of did), detailing all the spectacular decisions, choices and attentions to detail that this has, on top of just spectacular art and animation (And how well the song fits), but I will restrain myself, because all of it is already apparent in the end result! Bravo ya'll, BRAVO. These are the kinds of aspiring animators we desperately need *more of* in this world of ever-growing soulless content milking of this spectacular medium.

The gem/cleo part was so good because you could JUST tell and it was so subtle, well done!!! Also the family dinner was perfect. Whole thing reminds me of a warrior cats map, with all the unique styles combined into one. There need to be more maps in this fandom.
