    This is great! As a Project Manager, it’s always so helpful to have tools to see quickly where your team is-who’s doing okay and where the stress points are. I’m definitely adding it to my tool kit!
    Apologies if I missed this in the video, but is this something you created or something you learned somewhere? If you learned it somewhere, I’d be curious to check out more by that person!

      So glad to hear it was helpful. I’ve been working on iterations of this for a few years. I’ve been making incremental updates as I’ve learned more or seen what’s working and what isn’t.

    This is a very interesting method. Thank you for Sharing!
    For this to work i guess it is super important for all Team members to be able to accurately estimate how much time they need for each of their individual tasks. Or else there might be someone giving you a one and then ending up having a number 5 Week. 🤔

    • @markyourpages
      @markyourpages  6 месяцев назад +1

      It takes time, but yes, that would be ideal for each person to estimate correctly. Since everyone works a bit different, it looks different for everyone.

    Hi Mark, I enjoyed this video - where I work, we have something “enterprise-wide” that was for us to track our time. What I first thought was micromanagement, I now see as capacity planning, but it wasn’t explained that way to us. It wasn’t explained at all. We are given categories to log our time and we have a ticket system to track our support work. We used to have a bucket for Administrative work, which is where I logged a lot of my time, but that bucket has been taken away and is assumed as 5 hours per week and not tracked by us. I think now, that I will do some of what you do in planning out my week. Thank you for this insight!

    • @markyourpages
      @markyourpages  5 месяцев назад

      You hit on a really important part of of this in that it’s not to micromanage anyone. Data is so important - so tracking any type Or bucket just helps break work done even more.

    I love this video! I’ve gone digital for my work bullet journal this year. I’m going to try this out next week and see how many hours I need to get stuff done and what’s left over

    This is a great training. I'm working on a bujo for manage my work life as a business analyst. Question; I may have missed it but the work capacity score include meetings or it's just the work hour blocks? Thanks again. BTW, Nice channel name. I already forgot your old channel name so that's good.

    • @markyourpages
      @markyourpages  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, you want to include any time of meetings and work blocks for your weekly capacity. You add it all up.

      I am going to have to respectfully disagree with you here. It would simply mean teaching this concept to the managers of the each department. You could even have a leadership meeting once a week/ month/ quarter to discuss how each department is doing as a whole to help decide when employment needs are changing (hiring, terminations, or new department creation). I hope this helps :) Good luck!!
