For all of those who lost their life to save Europe in D-Day thank you.
@@Refract404 a true fact you state however they still saved Europe its unfortunate how its in need of saving again!!!!!!
Yea, 'saved'. Europe is now on the brink of communist rule and the native population is being replaced at an alarming rate, but at least we're not speaking German, eh.
Seeing the vets of dday swaying to the music got me
Such class. Way to go Great Britain. Honoring those passed can be uplifting and joyous , it doesn't have to be all dark. This warmed my heart.
Britain
I fkn love this lady X she's British she's working class , and she's the most talented young person in the UK shes also a great actress and a fantastic singer X I'm in awe of Sheridan X she has other issues as well as her career x
Your Dad would've been very proud Sheridan you were amazing! xx
Nice one Sheridan, you did them proud !
Beautiful performance, Sheridan paid brilliant tribute.
Thank You Great Uncle Jim. Passed away 2018 aged 98. Was held captive at a Japanese Prisoner of War Camp during WW2. They sacrificed so much.
Never felt so many tingles while listening to a song.
Just a clip of it on the bbc and sky news ,almost felt daft typing in sheridan smith we'll meet again but glad i did , it was her and she nailed it perfect.
I love this so much!!! What an absolute perfect tribute to our servicemen who keep our country safe and the fallen. Least we forget@!! Sheridan Smith is amazing
Wonderful tribute!! Sheridan, it's beautiful to watch and hear you sing so happily... You're absolutely amazing. Sending hugs your way
Beautifully performed. Very moving.
They sacrifices will never be forgotten (salute )
She was a class act today. Brilliant doll
My Nan played this song at my grandads funeral. It reminds me of him. RIP Grandad....
She’s a fab lass from Lincolnshire. Love you Sheridan. 😍👍
Wonderful tribute!! Sheridan, it's beautiful to watch and hear you sing so happily... You're absolutely amazing. Sending hugs your way
Congratulations Sheridan, that was perfect-Kudos
We owe you so much💂 Thank you❤️
Well done Sheridan. You did them proud.
Sheridan has a 40's voice and perfect for this song and bye eck didn't she make a cracking job of it,
Amazing and emotional
mickd6942 nope. I think she sounds very amateurish and flat. She should stick to acting.
@@cooliocook6911 Oh wind your neck in! I suppose they only picked Sheridan because you were too busy. What sort of person comes here just to criticise a performance by such a fabulous woman at such an event...I'll tell ya, a bitter nobody. You should stick to minding ya own.
PamelaFlitton someone who isn't her aunt, mother, cousin, friend or paid fan to "big her up" She get's eyes rolling around the showbiz circuit. Pushy and talentless. She won't last. Even if she stops eating all the pies. I'm told she's used as an insult over at RADA
For example : If someone does something a bit "meh" during a rehearsal, colleagues laughingly say "Do it again coz that's a bit Sheridan" 😂😂😂😂😂 muahxx btw, I don't sing. I'm an ENT surgeon.I operate on people's vocal chords.
@@PamelaFlitton Well said me duck .
Very well done, a pleasure to watch!
This is absolutely fantastic, The timing of the Warship and fly past was totally spot on. Well done Sheridan, it was an amazing performance
Well done Sheridan...you and Rod did those boys an girls proud 👍👏👍👏👍👏
A class act. We will remember them.
My Grandpa was a Veteran of WW2, 1924-2015, May he Rest in Peace.
Codetski Jaigobin ❤️
In our prayers
Beautiful - it brought a tear to my eye thinking about my parents and grandparents.
Music of the era.
Befitting and Classy!
Lovely voice. Vera would be pleased to hear her singing her song
The mega talented Lincolnshire lass Sheridan Smith. Us Yellowbellies are so proud of you.
Very talented lass, my Grandad would of loved this. He was stationed in Lincolnshire during WW2, that were he met and married my Nana who was born there xx
Fantastic tribute to those who gave their tomorrows for our today and a reminder that freedom is never free it was paid for with the blood of our veterans, lest we forget.
You nailed it girl!! Thank you x
Love Sheridan! Stunning in everything she takes on.
C’mon, Alex, you’re much more worthy than that daft comment.... Well, maybe not 🤣
Well done Sheridan...you nailed it.... xx
What a wonderful song, Mrs. Smith, accompanied by RAF Sptifires. Thank you very much !
Spitfire and a Hurricane.
Thank you to all those brave people, to those who made it and those who didn’t thank you all
Thank you for posting . The music of that time still resonates with us today. Sheridan sounds absolutely wonderful with her rendition of this song!
I can’t imagine how terrifying it was storming those beaches. I would now be at the higher end of the age range for the soldiers with a lot of them being significantly younger at the time. True heroes who deserve everyone’s respect.
❤❤❤
Magnifique. Merci
Sheridan Smith is absolutely amazing as always. Love her ❤
So talented and absolutely gorgeous..
Sheridan was absolutely perfect for this. I'm sure the Veterans adored her.
Well Done Sheridan.. Beautiful performance
Thank u to all of the men and women from many nations who sacrificed so much for us.

Our phantom soldiers are smiling upon us from afar.

Well done Sheridan you sang that beautifulity.x
It’s safe to say that I’m sitting in tears listening to this beautiful piece.
Great uncle Tommy died age 14 in ww1.... We will meet someday🙏 X
henrietta henson will you even recognise him?
@@JulieWallis1963 a soul is a soul and you will all regognise that.. I do have a photo of him that my mother told me the story of how he had lied about his age how heartbreaking for my great grandparents... I became a great grand ma for the second time yesterday a dear little boy .. So life goes on doesn't it.. lol🙏💕
Cracking voice 👏 take a bow Sheridan Smith 👍
It certainly is cracking.
My grandpa was in ww2 and great grandpa in ww1 both of them survived luckily
Just as well or you wouldn't be here ,take care.
That`s about the best version of that song I`ve ever heard. My Grandad would of loved that. He always used to say that Vera Lynn sounded like the All Clear Air Raid Siren.
A beautiful rendition by a beautiful lady. So well done. Your old fella would be proud👌
Wonderful brings tears!
Beautiful - very nostalgic
Least we forget 😢🌹
COVID-19: We need unity everywhere to win. Peace
She was great in two pints! Good old days.
Awe inspiring. What a talent Sheridan is.
Go Britain!

Trés classe....Nous aimons beaucoup
Is there anything this girl can't do!
Hermosa canción. El año pasado estuve recorriendo los lugares del DÍA D..Mis más sentidos respetos a todos los caídos y sus familiares y amigos !!💖
une voix magnifique et belle chanson !
I don't understand German but I think that was a compliment thanks.
@@johnlowdon5809 I know I’m a bit late but that was French not German
I remember that in the film Dr. Strange love at the end you hear this song while you see a nuclear explosion. Poetic.
REALMENTE EMOCIONANTE.
By Christ she hit all the right notes there ,,,,well done sheriden
Bittersweet.
United kingdom !!🌹🌹
Honour to all the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for freedom during WW2! Greetings from Asia. (I find the European side of the war more interesting imo.)
I remember this video where I think a beauty shop quartet was singing to an old man who I think was a veteran from d-day. I can't find it for the life of me, if anyone knows what I'm talking about and has the video, please help me find it again
I didnt know she could sing too!
She cant sing. Ruined an amazing song. Half of it sounded like a 13 year old school girl.
Find her version of "And I tell you I'm not going" from dreamgirls. Turns it into a real heartbreaker. She's brilliant.
HerbalTerrorist86 She can't sing. It sounded very Karaoke. She has absolutely no idea on how to deliver the note. Awful.
G Roberts WELL SAID! I'm pleased someone else here heard what I heard. A very lazy amateur performance.
💋👍
Proud to have such a national treasure. Britons never shall be slaves............. to the EU.
how are we slaves? what a ridiculous thing to say when europe should be coming together
13 people are Jeremy Corbyn followers
Should have been Mazz Murray!
the following week................................. they stopped free tv licence - the BBC extensively covered this knowing what they had in their back pocket.... shame on you
Норм.. англичане достойно воевали...
Almost makes me proud of being British....not quite though, politicians.......
Be proud at a time like this. They are nothing.
@@lone8869 a wise person once said "never judge a people by their government". A similar sentiment was expressed to Joanna Lumley on her trip through Iran. A man greeted her with "Governments... Phah!"
Butchery of a magnificent song. Should have played a recording of Very Lynn at least that would have been nice to hear.
Perhaps a majority of one, but I thought her voice too harsh, Vera Lynn had a subility of tone to her singing.
G Roberts I ABSOLUTELY AGREE.
Sheridan is not a great singer but did well here.
Oh I wish she’d stop singing now. I’d rather listen to Vera sing this heartfelt meaningful song.
The D Day Darling would of performed it way better
