It’s funny bc Homelander actually can be taken down or at least finished off with enough millitary firepower. Black Noir quickly ripped him a new one, then got taken down by the millitary, and finished off by Butcher popping his head open with a crowbar-at that point BN was basically just a head. Idk how Black Noir’s skull couldn’t withstand a crowbar-seeing as he’s literally a superior version of Homelander, but yeah… So long story short, Homelander isn’t actually invulnerable-he’s just EXTREMELY durable and arrogantly THINKS he’s untouchable, but he is not…He’s among the strongest in the boys but would be a B-lister in most other comic book superhero universes.

Pretty much common knowledge. Let me tell you some facts: in the concept art of homelanders apartment we see in S3 there are two interessting things: 1. He owns hundreds of books, implying he likes to read. And this is supported by the fact that he read Voughts Biographie and most likely John Grisham. 2. There is a piano in the backround of the artwork. Maybe he can play. Oh, and another fact: in the tv show you can see that he has mirrors above his bed.

The comic version is much eviler but not in a good way, just in a *”look here is gore and shock”* kind of evil. At least with Homelander in the show you get a sense he is human in a way.

I don’t think he’s a bad person or a monster he’s just a chilled with a lot of past trauma, and you can see in diabolical in his early stages of being a super hero he makes mistakes but they get covered up and he doesn’t learn, making him think that he can do whatever he wants. Like a 3 year old given powers and expected to make good decisions with them

"Show homelander is sympathetic and even empathetic" citation fucking needed. Also you could argue show hl is MUCH worse than comic hl since *SPOILER* in the show he becomes a psycho on his own, while in the comic he is driven mad by black noir

  • @yusafillahi

Actually homelander pretty much does anything he wants in the show too, it's just that they show a bit more of his emotional depravity and how far it has gone to ruin any semblance of sanity he already had
