I had the same experience. Trying to fill my spiritual void with new age never helped. I’m so thankful that God didn’t abandon me during my periods of indifference. Jesus is the only way. He pulled me out of the darkness at my worst. It’s very difficult to articulate my experience. But I would say to anyone who is lost that we need to understand that God loves us and hence He will honour our decisions to follow our wishes (even if that means diving into new age, inviting demonic forces unknowingly, being lost in seeking elsewhere ) but His love for his children is infinite and is more powerful than any new agey stuff and will always meet us as long as there is even a hint of light in our hearts.
The angles rejoyce for everyone that comes HOME. People do not realise that if Jesus does not exist why is the devil trying so hard to proove that? He does not try to proove mohammed or budah or anyother foreign gods non existence because they do not hold a threat to him. He is using his demons now to confuse gender because they do not have gender. I spoke to a man yesterday about heaven and he told me his on his way to hell and he almost brag about it. I ask him why? His answer only God deside who goes where. When I told him God gives us a choice because He send His Son to die for our sins. He said he did very bad things when he was young. I reminded him of the man on the cross who committed murder he believed in Jesus and was welcomed to heaven. Because His word says he through our sins in the sea and never think of it again. This man was so happy to hear this good news. A light lit up in his face when I told him to confess and ask Jesus to come into his ❤and do not sin again. I am not a preacher but this showed me that there is a hunger for the TRUTH and we are sinning not to spread the TRUTH

I lived my life to party and live for myself. Sin, which I never believed in, steeped in my soul for years. On Friday, Dec 21st, 2012, a voice told me to get on my knees and beg for His forgiveness. I did. And the Lord showed up and unveiled the sobering truth. In His mercy he forgave me. It felt like I was being baptized as I was on my face crying in His presence and the Holy Spirit washed over me. He instantly cured me of a porn addiction which spanned more than 30 years. Please pray for my niece, 16, who was sexually molested by an older family member from age 9-12, and now identifies as trans and in her pain wants to be a boy. The family is Jewish and their denial was also seriously damaging to her. The police went easy on the abuser and there is no sex offender status. The abuser and his father showed up at her home recently and she was terrified. Please pray for her emotional and spiritual healing and that all the family comes to faith in their Messiah, even the abusers. They need Jesus too.
I can empathize with your story. I was raised in a devout Christian family, but I strayed from my faith for many years. I am deeply grateful to God for giving me a second chance. If you put your hands to the plow (the ministry of reconciliation) and turn back to the world you are unworthy of the kingdom of God, Messiah said. Until you do God has nothing do with you other than chastening. If you are still in your sin then you know you are a liar in God's Eyes. He only deals with the holy. The Lord deals with the babes. Ppl who say "God" this and that are socially admitting they never walked with the Lord. If you did the signs followed you. (Mk.16:16.) Tell me, how many sick folk have you laid your hands upon for the Lord to heal them? (sounds like none) Did you know that the words "born-again" are not what the Lord said? (jn.3:3-5.) The word in Greek is ghen-naho which means to begat. David begat Solomon and so forth. The word cannot be translated as 'born-again'. you will not be born over again until you die! And if the Holy Spirit did do that (which he does baptize you into the body of Christ to receive the Spirit of Christ called exousia. (Jn.1:12.) But if you do not speak in tongues you are not filled with the Holy Spirit.

What is the heart behind your coming here and throwing a wet blanket on a child of God who has repented and walks in the light? A person is born again in spirit even as they walk in the flesh. As John baptized with water; our Lord Jesus baptizes with fire and the Holy Spirit. The gifts of The Holy Spirit according to the Bible are given according to the will and wishes of God. Some of the reasoning being that we help one another. Some with words of wisdom, some with healing, some with various other gifts. Praying in the spirit I can tell you does not always mean that you must pray in tongues. How do I know? Because I do not speak in tongues but God did cast out a demon in my home that was tempting me relentlessly. Did I do this on my authority? Absolutely not. I asked God in humility and in great need. God got rid of that thing immediately and it didn't get to protest or make a peep but was gone. I was given confirmation from God that my prayer was answered and then very shortly later I got this explanation as an additional detail which said only this in my mind, "Spoken in The Spirit". At the time I didn't even know what that meant. I still do not fully know but I do know that I do not speak in tongues and that God is who delivered me and on his authority; not on mine. I was powerless but through him and with humility and supplication he protected me and taught me.

Amazing testimony. I have also been this lost sheep, going after men, clubbing, and in total rebelion until I realised I couldn't live doing things my way. I said the same thing to God: I am done with men, I am done with looking for the one. I just want to be with you, Jesus, and if this means being single all my life, so be it. After 6 months with God enjoying His presence, I met my husband, we married after dating 7 months. Nobody understood why that fast and were scared it was another of my crazy decisions...well, it was the person God had for me. We have been together for 7 years now, serving and loving God and my past is well behind. So I can relate to her testimony and all I can say is God can change your life completely to the point you look back and you don't even recognise yourself! No new ages, nothing, nobody can do that, but Jesus!!!!!
Yes, from the outsider's perspective, it is a 'chin scratcher' as to why seemingly intelligent people are suckered in towards addictions, new age beliefs, and self-destructive behaviours. Yet, I've been there myself, and it all seems perfectly reasonable at the time. I was not brought up in a loving Christian home and trust me when I say that there is a God shaped whole in your heart that you just keep trying to fill with all sorts of things ; relationships, occult and new age spirituality, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs..you name it. I was saved at 37 and was immediately freed from my addiction to cigarettes (which i smoked horrible quantities of) and very negative thought patterns that were destroying my relationship (though I'd been struggling with both for years). God is so good, later He helped me with quitting drinking alcohol after I'd prayed for His intervention.
Sometimes it's because people are smart that they go that destructive path... The enemy uses the brain and the power God has given to the brain to make people over-analyse and things like that. Only God can turn a heart towards Him 🙌🕊️ Thank you, Jesus 🙌

I am having serious troubles in fighting my sinful sexual urges. Please pray for me, everytime I fall I get so bad that I would rather get ran over by a truck. May Jesus take over my life.
God helped me to get free when I kept falling and falling. It's his grace that teaches us to say no these things! I think shame and guilt don't help at all. If we confess our sins he really forgives! I encourage you to keep looking to him and I'm sure he will set you free in his own way and time!

The New Age movement is very deceptive and powerful, I was heavily into yoga and meditation for 10 years or so, I was brought up Baptist and knew the Bible but I just was drawn to the additive buzz that meditation brought, it was like a drug to me and I started pushing my body to the limits of unnatural abilities and injuring myself and one day just stopped and never returned to it because I had that grounding in early salvation and knowledge of Gods word, I too tried everything to replace Jesus and found out over and over again he can’t be replaced with anything this world or the dark spirit world has to offer.
People need to understand the moment you "evict" God from your life, you leave a void that will be immediately filled by the enemy. You relinquished God's guidance and protection which is exactly what the enemy has been working for you to do. Powerful testimony. Praise the Lord you found your way back!

Also, if any religion was true, the believers of this religion should clearly benefit in some way. However, that isn't what we see. My mom had been praying for me for years since leaving home to pursue a life with my same-sex partner: This year, she did a 40-day fast (or something like that) and had some people fast with her from time to time. She had some health complications from doing that for a week or two or something like that but she’s more than ok rn. I gave my life to Christ recently. I can really identify with your story the young exposure to porn that gateway into lust , drugs, psychiatric problems, prison, 12 step programmes, religion, philosophy and witchcraft seeking enlightenment or healing as I mistakenly believed , Thank God for his grace he saved my life so many times over decades and eventually in desperation I invited Jesus into my life and God showed me everything I was involved in and I was reborn a couple of months ago since then I have had multiple encounters with many demons in my apartment but have been able to overcome them at first I was terrified of them but now I do not have the spirit of fear but love power and sound mind for greater is he that is in me then he that is in the world. The fight for your soul is everyday. Do not love the world or anything in it Watch out for these 1. Stop Seeking honour from people(lay treasures up in heaven instead) 2. Love the unlovable 3. Gal 5:16 So i say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Those dreams were real. Praise the Lord that you got out. When I was at a low point in my life, I did what you did and I cried out to God and got rid of people and things. I sat down and opened my Bible and started reading 30 min- 1 hour a day. I met my husband a year later. God restored what the locusts had eaten.

Thankyou foe sharing. I can relate to a lot of this, and I too returned finally blessed with the wisdom of what following Jesus was actually all about. I have quite the legacy my prodigal journey left me with with so acceptance from some Christians can be tough, but that's ok. I think more and more people will come forward like you and educate everyone of what Christians are dealing with out there now.
I feel as though this is where we go wrong a lot of the time. Jesus was a man, who opened himself up so the source/god whatever you want to call it, could show us the way. . (unconditional love) He understood what it meant to be human. And that humans will never be perfect.. He walked amongst the "sinners" and chose to love them.. not judge them. I truly feel Jesus meant sinning against each other was mostly - Our Judgement of Others.. Our Failure to love them despite their flaws.. Our Failure to support them during the dark times.. Our Failure to 'turn the other cheek' when faced with reactive behaviours Our ego when we believe we are better than the beggar in the street. These 'sins' of the flesh (gambling drinking smoking fornicating etc) are not what he's talking about when he speaks of 'sin'. This is where 'christians' do most damage pointing the finger at others and shouting at them to repent and find Jesus.. You will find that when we simply love people without conditions, they naturally become whole , and do not need to lean on such vices...

Wow Sarah, thank you for sharing this. I just have to comment shortly. When I was younger and broke ( im in Europe), I went to another country to get a job. I struggle with a lot of things, failed relations, owning money, this and that. Drained after a couple of years I dident have energy left. I pray to God, I needed a person in my life and I needed a better life to put it simple. Long story, but the strangest things start to fall in to place. I met a fellow country man at the pub that set my in contact with someone that finally lead my to a girl 2 years younger than me. But she was from a 3. country, and I dident even had money to visit here in this time. Well, I won the lottery one week after....Yes it is true. Not millions, but enough to buy tickets back and forth and a little left over for practicalities. I have been so lucky with my partner in life. We are still married after 32 years. I will never believe in,- that this was coincidence.
While so many young people in the US ,but especially in Europe, turning their back on Jesus for the new age, very small minorities in Türkiye looking for ways to lower the pressure on themselves, especially in social and working life. I love testimonies from Christians who completely fell back into sin, for that was me and I thought I had crossed the line, sinned one too many times. I didn't think I could come back after tasting God's grace and then going back.

I can empathize with your story. I was raised in a devout Christian family, but I strayed from my faith for many years. I am deeply grateful to God for giving me a second chance. I have been born again with the Holy Spirit, and my life has been transformed. Each day, God helps me to grow in my faith and become more holy. All praise to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
If you put your hands to the plow (the ministry of reconciliation) and turn back to the world you are unworthy of the kingdom of God, Messiah said. Until you do God has nothing do with you other than chastening. If you are still in your sin then you know you are a liar in God's Eyes. He only deals with the holy. The Lord deals with the babes.
Ppl who say "God" this and that are socially admitting they never walked with the Lord. If you did the signs followed you. (Mk.16:16.) Tell me, how many sick folk have you laid your hands upon for the Lord to heal them? (sounds like none) Did you know that the words "born-again" are not what the Lord said? (jn.3:3-5.)
The word in Greek is ghen-naho which means to begat. David begat Solomon and so forth. The word cannot be translated as 'born-again'. you will not be born over again until you die! And if the Holy Spirit did do that (which he does baptize you into the body of Christ to receive the Spirit of Christ called exousia. (Jn.1:12.) But if you do not speak in tongues you are not filled with the Holy Spirit.

What is the heart behind your coming here and throwing a wet blanket on a child of God who has repented and walks in the light? A person is born again in spirit even as they walk in the flesh. As John baptized with water; our Lord Jesus baptizes with fire and the Holy Spirit. The gifts of The Holy Spirit according to the Bible are given according to the will and wishes of God. Some of the reasoning being that we help one another. Some with words of wisdom, some with healing, some with various other gifts. Praying in the spirit I can tell you does not always mean that you must pray in tongues. How do I know? Because I do not speak in tongues but God did cast out a demon in my home that was tempting me relentlessly. Did I do this on my authority? Absolutely not. I asked God in humility and in great need. God got rid of that thing immediately and it didn't get to protest or make a peep but was gone. I was given confirmation from God that my prayer was answered and then very shortly later I got this explanation as an additional detail which said only this in my mind, "Spoken in The Spirit". At the time I didn't even know what that meant. I still do not fully know but I do know that I do not speak in tongues and that God is who delivered me and on his authority; not on mine. I was powerless but through him and with humility and supplication he protected me and taught me.

Amazing testimony. I have also been this lost sheep, going after men, clubbing, and in total rebelion until I realised I couldn't live doing things my way. I said the same thing to God: I am done with men, I am done with looking for the one. I just want to be with you, Jesus, and if this means being single all my life, so be it. After 6 months with God enjoying His presence, I met my husband, we married after dating 7 months. Nobody understood why that fast and were scared it was another of my crazy decisions...well, it was the person God had for me. We have been together for 7 years now, serving and loving God and my past is well behind. So I can relate to her testimony and all I can say is God can change your life completely to the point you look back and you don't even recognise yourself! No new ages, nothing, nobody can do that, but Jesus!!!!!

Yes, from the outsider's perspective, it is a 'chin scratcher' as to why seemingly intelligent people are suckered in towards addictions, new age beliefs, and self-destructive behaviours. Yet, I've been there myself, and it all seems perfectly reasonable at the time. I was not brought up in a loving Christian home and trust me when I say that there is a God shaped whole in your heart that you just keep trying to fill with all sorts of things ; relationships, occult and new age spirituality, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs..you name it. I was saved at 37 and was immediately freed from my addiction to cigarettes (which i smoked horrible quantities of) and very negative thought patterns that were destroying my relationship (though I'd been struggling with both for years). God is so good, later He helped me with quitting drinking alcohol after I'd prayed for His intervention.
Sometimes it's because people are smart that they go that destructive path... The enemy uses the brain and the power God has given to the brain to make people over-analyse and things like that. Only God can turn a heart towards Him 🙌🕊️ Thank you, Jesus 🙌

God helped me to get free when I kept falling and falling. It's his grace that teaches us to say no these things! I think shame and guilt don't help at all. If we confess our sins he really forgives! I encourage you to keep looking to him and I'm sure he will set you free in his own way and time!

The New Age movement is very deceptive and powerful, I was heavily into yoga and meditation for 10 years or so, I was brought up Baptist and knew the Bible but I just was drawn to the additive buzz that meditation brought, it was like a drug to me and I started pushing my body to the limits of unnatural abilities and injuring myself and one day just stopped and never returned to it because I had that grounding in early salvation and knowledge of Gods word, I too tried everything to replace Jesus and found out over and over again he can’t be replaced with anything this world or the dark spirit world has to offer.
People need to understand the moment you "evict" God from your life, you leave a void that will be immediately filled by the enemy.
You relinquished God's guidance and protection which is exactly what the enemy has been working for you to do.

My mom had been praying for me for years since leaving home to pursue a life with my same-sex partner: This year, she did a 40-day fast (or something like that) and had some people fast with her from time to time. She had some health complications from doing that for a week or two or something like that but she’s more than ok rn. I gave my life to Christ recently. The Bible says this: “Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning [until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored]. Rend your hearts and not your garments and return to the Lord, your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in loving-kindness; and He revokes His sentence of evil [when His conditions are met].”

I can really identify with your story the young exposure to porn that gateway into lust , drugs, psychiatric problems, prison, 12 step programmes, religion, philosophy and witchcraft seeking enlightenment or healing as I mistakenly believed , Thank God for his grace he saved my life so many times over decades and eventually in desperation I invited Jesus into my life and God showed me everything I was involved in and I was reborn a couple of months ago since then I have had multiple encounters with many demons in my apartment but have been able to overcome them at first I was terrified of them but now I do not have the spirit of fear but love power and sound mind for greater is he that is in me then he that is in the world.

Those dreams were real. Praise the Lord that you got out. When I was at a low point in my life, I did what you did and I cried out to God and got rid of people and things. I sat down and opened my Bible and started reading 30 min- 1 hour a day. I met my husband a year later. God restored what the locusts had eaten.

Thankyou foe sharing. I can relate to a lot of this, and I too returned finally blessed with the wisdom of what following Jesus was actually all about. I have quite the legacy my prodigal journey left me with with so acceptance from some Christians can be tough, but that's ok. I think more and more people will come forward like you and educate everyone of what Christians are dealing with out there now.
I feel as though this is where we go wrong a lot of the time.
Jesus was a man, who opened himself up so the source/god whatever you want to call it, could show us the way. . (unconditional love)
He understood what it meant to be human. And that humans will never be perfect..
He walked amongst the "sinners" and chose to love them.. not judge them.
I truly feel Jesus meant sinning against each other was mostly -
Our Judgement of Others..
Our Failure to love them despite their flaws..
Our Failure to support them during the dark times..
Our Failure to 'turn the other cheek' when faced with reactive behaviours
Our ego when we believe we are better than the beggar in the street.
These 'sins' of the flesh (gambling drinking smoking fornicating etc) are not what he's talking about when he speaks of 'sin'. This is where 'christians' do most damage pointing the finger at others and shouting at them to repent and find Jesus..
You will find that when we simply love people without conditions, they naturally become whole , and do not need to lean on such vices...

Wow Sarah, thank you for sharing this. I just have to comment shortly. When I was younger and broke ( im in Europe), I went to another country to get a job. I struggle with a lot of things, failed relations, owning money, this and that. Drained after a couple of years I dident have energy left. I pray to God, I needed a person in my life and I needed a better life to put it simple.
Long story, but the strangest things start to fall in to place. I met a fellow country man at the pub that set my in contact with someone that finally lead my to a girl 2 years younger than me. But she was from a 3. country, and I dident even had money to visit here in this time. Well, I won the lottery one week after....Yes it is true. Not millions, but enough to buy tickets back and forth and a little left over for practicalities. I have been so lucky with my partner in life. We are still married after 32 years.
I will never believe in,- that this was coincidence.
