Sister in Christ, my story is almost identical- I also had a lot of repentence for raising my daughter in occult/new age. I bought her her first tarot deck at 9 😢 She was 15 when I was saved and going through a deep depression (obsessed with Billie Eilish! she hasn’t come to Jesus yet but he lifted her oppression, her taste in music change and He set her on a very wholesome mindset. she is more and more and open and interested in Christ. If you are Christian and believe there is no other source of salvation and freedom but God, new age has to be wrong. If we were creature for his pleasure and worship, we can‘t place this much trust, money, time and identity in anything else ESPECIALLY spiritual entities. What I love about your testimony is that you are a mature woman. It's not someone who did new age practises for 5 years, you've got real history and real experience. There is some mature thought taking place in your testimony with regards to learning about the existence of evil. I really appreciate it, thank you.
This was excellent and will help more people who need to hear it. I also spent 20+ years in New Age, gravitating to almost all the people and modalities you explored. It's all BS. I became a professional astrologer. My clients were people like you ( who you were). I was rescued by our Lord like a lost sheep. I realized that evil really exists, demons prowling around looking to ruin souls. I cleared all the New Age items, books, everything. I prayed outloud as I was doing it cutting all ties or contracts with "teachers" I opened myself to. I threw Holy Water over all the items and my house, praying Biblical prayers.

I totally watched till the very end . Firstly let me say congratulations to you & your husband on your marriage after 20 yrs. together, what a most beautiful sacrament/gift to embrace. I have watched about a hundred testimonies over the last 2 yrs and each one helps to water that tiny mustard seed in my heart and soul. The leading up to you getting saved is so similar to mine! Actually much of your testimony, especially being a sensitive child, anxiety, always feeling like an impending sense of doom, trauma after trauma. February 2021 is when I encountered the Living God and that’s been a wild journey too. Revelation after revelation regarding truth about everything we’ve ever been taught being a lie. it's crazy isn't, i mean i'm still in the spiritual community myself but i noticed these testimony videos popping up and where lot's of spiritual folk were feeling exhausted and fatigued alot this year and that could be why there's an increase of testimony videos recently. see the spiritual teachers encourage us to do the shadow inner work and spend months feeling like crap lol and apparently your levelling up and ascending and to trust the process it will pass hang here there.. that's the kind of talk you'll hear and i think people are feeling uncomfortable too much to the point of having to leave the spirituality scene, it's like there's something going on here. i've been observing how some the testimony videos are only from a few days ago.

I want to see these testimonies after 40yrs. This is only 17months of 'being saved' I've meet lots of people who have 'been saved' and then move onto other things. Also worked with lots of people who have had to get out of conventional religion. I had a christ experince in 2007, and have lived with the Christian Light since then, but am not againt all 'new age' practices.
Being saved means a person is "born again" in Christ. They have placed their faith in Jesus and what He did on the cross, they have received Him as Lord of their life, they become a new creation and the Holy Spirit of God comes to dwell inside them. If a person shows no "fruit" from their salvation and has not repented of their sin, then I would question if they were truly saved in the first place or if they just had some kind of 'experience'. There are many false spirits deceiving many and claiming to be Jesus Christ (or a Christian Light as you put it). Satan can offer plenty of experiences. Does this "light" lead you to the bible and a holy way of living according to Gods word? If not, its not the true Christ. The bible warns us that Satan is a liar and deceiver. "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" 2 Corinthians 11:14 Satan can transform himself into what appears to be 'light' and love, however it is to keep people deceived and away from the true living God

It’s painful and frustrating when christians refuse to accept that others believed what they believed and left. It tells me that their faith may not be able to withstand this sort of lived reality that others have. It may help their faith, but making these statements, Acushla, is only preaching to the converted and pushing the rest of us away from understanding and dialogue.

I was a youth leader in my church and considered my faith the most important thing in my life. The part of the comment that feels dismissive to me is the seeming refusal to accept that someone may be a Christian and leave. Ex-Christians hear this often. "You weren't really a Christian. You didn't really believe or have a relationship with Christ. You weren't really saved." I'm telling you, it happens all the time. I'm telling you that it is my own lived experience. Can you accept that? If not, why should anyone listen to anyone else's personal testimony? What is the value of sharing your story if you are only willing to hear stories of those whose experiences align with your own? What does it say that far more people are leaving than joining Christianity? Do our testimonies count? I can hear your story and learn from it, but when your voice and experience seek to disavow anything that's not the same, that seems one-sided. I think it comes from a sincere, caring place, but it's unconvincing at best and potentially harmful at worst. Many of us leave because we come to believe that the common interpretations of the Bible and "accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior" are legitimately not biblical and represent a profound misunderstanding of Jesus and misappropriation of his teachings. You can certainly argue otherwise, but your interpretation and experience are yours and mine are mine. I've read the Bible. I've read a ton of exegesis. I've had my own personal experiences of God. Evangelical Christians by and large will not and cannot accept that anyone with a personal testimony that contradicts their own could be telling the truth. We are all 'demon-possessed' and deceived. It's frustrating, especially when you're trying to convince us with arguments we've made literally hundreds of times before and ultimately found unconvincing. I think one of the most scary things is the relief you express in the video around your family members becoming believers. I cannot imagine taking refuge in a god who would condemn its creations to eternal conscious torment for temporal human life. When I see Christians praying that their children will be saved, I feel sick. Who would worship such an evil god and then dare to call others demon-possessed? How is this Good News? I would never ever have had children if I believed in such a being. I would certainly never worship him.
My testimony has a ton of similarities with yours. I came to Christ in 2021after decades of the occult and new age. Thank you for sharing your story- it was very edifying for me. The language you use and the way you describe events really resonated with me and will help me out into words some of the subtleties of my experience. My daughter, Nova, has a lot of anxiety, if anyone sees this please pray for her that she might be saved from this affliction. She's 10 and I have a lot of guilt over this. Thank you for sharing. It was an honest and clear description of the way God works through us. Also came from new age to Christ and like you he took some of the most persistent addictions in seconds, never to haunt me again. And like you I have never looked back. The idea that Christ seems wanting to take something from us felt all around the world when it is Him alone who truly gives life to the full. Even the enlightenment state cannot be compared to Him when the Holy Spirit unfolds who we truly are. And I would never even remotely hesitate what I prefer, Him or the enlightenment state, despite that this state is beyond human words in bliss. No one but Christ (Holy Spirit) can look at my own sin (missing the mark) and stand in front of it without trying to eel around it, soften it, or even dismiss or forget it. But stand right in front of it and say: It is wrong. Evil does exist, and so does God. Thank you sister for your story.

I've had a similar experience with demonic attacks after opening a lot of doors through new age/meditation/psychedelics. About a year ago I woke up in the middle of the night, I couldn't breath or move and I could see a demon on top of me chocking me. Jesus came and saved me, leading me to open the bible I have been carrying around for many years but never once opened, and eventually to giving my life to him. Everyone's experience of being saved by the Lord is different 🙏 Are you going to a biblically sound church who preaches Gods word and you feel supported by the pastor? Once we have received Christ as our saviour, it doesn't mean we will be automatically healed and delivered from all of our afflictions. Some can be caused by sin, sometimes by demonic attack, sometimes by not living an obedient life, and sometimes just a result of living in a fallen world. Diligently studying Gods word under biblical pastors, daily prayer and living an obedient life to His word are my main suggestions xx

Have you received Christ as your Lord and saviour? If you have, you cannot be possessed by demons. You can still be oppressed by the demonic however. Fill your mind with the bible (even listen to it), keep praying and worshipping Jesus. This is powerful protection. Hang in there! It's a battle, but Jesus already has victory and so do we who have accepted Him. It takes time for our minds to be renewed and to trust in the Lord with our whole heart. I pray you find a solid biblical church where you can get bible based support 🙏
Thank you so much. How do I know if I have recieved Jesus as my savior. I asked him often and I think that he is there but something is between me and him but I feel like if he didn't give up on me. It may be that I am opressed...or is it trauma? I don't know to be honest and NO ,I have no church and no possibility and no trust because I made very bad experiences with church. We are supposed to Renounce what we were doing, for example I have daily been saying outloud with authority "I renounce Shamanism! I renounce anything witchcraft related! I renounce ___ etc etc" , (fill in the blanks), also renouncing any possible generational curses thru bloodline (even if you are unaware because bloodlines from waaaay back could have a relative that was practicing something and/or fr€€ mas○nry etc) , then go right into Repenting, truly apologizing to God , because I really did not know that what I had been called into was considered a type of witchcraft or occult, deeply repenting I ask the Lord to please forgive me of my sins and for leading ppl the wrong way, and repent naming all the sins you can think of/remember, not just occult related sins but any sins, then I ask God to come into my heart and that I give my life to him and to please fill me with the Holy Spirit and to protect me and to please show me the way and to please DELIVER ME from anything trying to hang on to me. Thank him for his MERCY and GRACE etc etc etc etc. Renouncing and Repenting before every prayer is everything when walking away from any sort of new age/ occult life. Do it day and night ❤❤❤

Dear sister, thank you for your powerful, raw and honest testimony. I also experienced the 'night throttle'/inability to breathe, each time I was bout to fall asleep, one night - I phoned the man I loved and he was useless so I called on Jesus and the Holy Spirit and I was immediately filled with peace. I sacrificed my love for that man, for the love of Jesus. The man is his own god, he paid lipservice to my growing faith but wanted to continue in his life of ego-sin... evil spewed from his mouth and eyes whenever I questioned his god-self so I had no choice but to leave him. I pray for him everyday...

Praise God for your testimony of salvation! I have a very similar "template" and finally came to the Lord this March. I'm amazed how Jesus and the Holy Spirit frequently slipped in to all the "open portals" in my life but it took some time for me to discern the why of it. I once was lost but now I'm found. Praying for all of the brothers and sisters still in the occult. There is salvation for us all who come to him in repentance.
It's always a good reminder for me to know that discerning truth can take a lot of time for many people. I struggle with seeing many I love who are lost 🙏
Thank you for your story. Lived near Byron Bay for 13 yrs and couldn't believe the glittering sparkly but dark garbage the area was soaked in. Stuff you wouldn't believe. Was in a relationship w a non believer as I was making my u turn back to faith. The closer I drew near to God the more she burrowed into new agey scuzz. Ended up splitting and returning to NZ after being in Aus most of my life. Still sad about our separation and her path, but know it's right to be here around believers. The instability of that area was off the charts and the people had no peace, crazy lives but would snort dismissively at Jesus.

Sister in Christ, my story is almost identical- I also had a lot of repentence for raising my daughter in occult/new age. I bought her her first tarot deck at 9 😢 She was 15 when I was saved and going through a deep depression (obsessed with Billie Eilish! she hasn’t come to Jesus yet but he lifted her oppression, her taste in music change and He set her on a very wholesome mindset. she is more and more and open and interested in Christ. What I love about your testimony is that you are a mature woman. It's not someone who did new age practises for 5 years, you've got real history and real experience. There is some mature thought taking place in your testimony with regards to learning about the existence of evil.

This was excellent and will help more people who need to hear it. I also spent 20+ years in New Age, gravitating to almost all the people and modalities you explored. It's all BS. I became a professional astrologer. My clients were people like you ( who you were). I was rescued by our Lord like a lost sheep. I realized that evil really exists, demons prowling around looking to ruin souls. I cleared all the New Age items, books, everything. I prayed outloud as I was doing it cutting all ties or contracts with "teachers" I opened myself to. I threw Holy Water over all the items and my house, praying Biblical prayers.

The leading up to you getting saved is so similar to mine! Actually much of your testimony, especially being a sensitive child, anxiety, always feeling like an impending sense of doom, trauma after trauma. it's crazy isn't, i mean i'm still in the spiritual community myself but i noticed these testimony videos popping up and where lot's of spiritual folk were feeling exhausted and fatigued alot this year and that could be why there's an increase of testimony videos recently. see the spiritual teachers encourage us to do the shadow inner work and spend months feeling like crap lol and apparently your levelling up and ascending and to trust the process it will pass hang here there.. that's the kind of talk you'll hear and i think people are feeling uncomfortable too much to the point of having to leave the spirituality scene, it's like there's something going on here. i've been observing how some the testimony videos are only from a few days ago.

I want to see these testimonies after 40yrs. This is only 17months of 'being saved' I've meet lots of people who have 'been saved' and then move onto other things.
Also worked with lots of people who have had to get out of conventional religion.
I had a christ experince in 2007, and have lived with the Christian Light since then, but am not againt all 'new age' practices.
Being saved means a person is "born again" in Christ. They have placed their faith in Jesus and what He did on the cross, they have received Him as Lord of their life, they become a new creation and the Holy Spirit of God comes to dwell inside them.
If a person shows no "fruit" from their salvation and has not repented of their sin, then I would question if they were truly saved in the first place or if they just had some kind of 'experience'.
There are many false spirits deceiving many and claiming to be Jesus Christ (or a Christian Light as you put it). Satan can offer plenty of experiences.
Does this "light" lead you to the bible and a holy way of living according to Gods word? If not, its not the true Christ.
The bible warns us that Satan is a liar and deceiver.
"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light"

Satan can transform himself into what appears to be 'light' and love, however it is to keep people deceived and away from the true living God

I was a youth leader in my church and considered my faith the most important thing in my life. The part of the comment that feels dismissive to me is the seeming refusal to accept that someone may be a Christian and leave. Ex-Christians hear this often. "You weren't really a Christian. You didn't really believe or have a relationship with Christ. You weren't really saved." I'm telling you, it happens all the time. I'm telling you that it is my own lived experience. Can you accept that? If not, why should anyone listen to anyone else's personal testimony? What is the value of sharing your story if you are only willing to hear stories of those whose experiences align with your own? What does it say that far more people are leaving than joining Christianity? Do our testimonies count? I can hear your story and learn from it, but when your voice and experience seek to disavow anything that's not the same, that seems one-sided. I think it comes from a sincere, caring place, but it's unconvincing at best and potentially harmful at worst.
Many of us leave because we come to believe that the common interpretations of the Bible and "accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior" are legitimately not biblical and represent a profound misunderstanding of Jesus and misappropriation of his teachings. You can certainly argue otherwise, but your interpretation and experience are yours and mine are mine. I've read the Bible. I've read a ton of exegesis. I've had my own personal experiences of God. Evangelical Christians by and large will not and cannot accept that anyone with a personal testimony that contradicts their own could be telling the truth. We are all 'demon-possessed' and deceived. It's frustrating, especially when you're trying to convince us with arguments we've made literally hundreds of times before and ultimately found unconvincing. I think one of the most scary things is the relief you express in the video around your family members becoming believers. I cannot imagine taking refuge in a god who would condemn its creations to eternal conscious torment for temporal human life. When I see Christians praying that their children will be saved, I feel sick. Who would worship such an evil god and then dare to call others demon-possessed? How is this Good News? I would never ever have had children if I believed in such a being. I would certainly never worship him.

Thank you for sharing. It was an honest and clear description of the way God works through us. Also came from new age to Christ and like you he took some of the most persistent addictions in seconds, never to haunt me again. And like you I have never looked back. The idea that Christ seems wanting to take something from us felt all around the world when it is Him alone who truly gives life to the full. Even the enlightenment state cannot be compared to Him when the Holy Spirit unfolds who we truly are. And I would never even remotely hesitate what I prefer, Him or the enlightenment state, despite that this state is beyond human words in bliss. No one but Christ (Holy Spirit) can look at my own sin (missing the mark) and stand in front of it without trying to eel around it, soften it, or even dismiss or forget it. But stand right in front of it and say: It is wrong. Evil does exist, and so does God. Thank you sister for your story.

I've had a similar experience with demonic attacks after opening a lot of doors through new age/meditation/psychedelics. About a year ago I woke up in the middle of the night, I couldn't breath or move and I could see a demon on top of me chocking me. Jesus came and saved me, leading me to open the bible I have been carrying around for many years but never once opened, and eventually to giving my life to him. He is THE TRUTH, THE WAY AND THE LIFE, HALLELUYAH.

Once we have received Christ as our saviour, it doesn't mean we will be automatically healed and delivered from all of our afflictions. Some can be caused by sin, sometimes by demonic attack, sometimes by not living an obedient life, and sometimes just a result of living in a fallen world. Diligently studying Gods word under biblical pastors, daily prayer and living an obedient life to His word are my main suggestions xx

Have you received Christ as your Lord and saviour? If you have, you cannot be possessed by demons. You can still be oppressed by the demonic however. Fill your mind with the bible (even listen to it), keep praying and worshipping Jesus. This is powerful protection. Hang in there! It's a battle, but Jesus already has victory and so do we who have accepted Him. It takes time for our minds to be renewed and to trust in the Lord with our whole heart. I pray you find a solid biblical church where you can get bible based support 🙏
Thank you so much. How do I know if I have recieved Jesus as my savior. I asked him often and I think that he is there but something is between me and him but I feel like if he didn't give up on me. It may be that I am opressed...or is it trauma? I don't know to be honest and NO ,I have no church and no possibility and no trust because I made very bad experiences with church. We are supposed to Renounce what we were doing, for example I have daily been saying outloud with authority "I renounce Shamanism! I renounce anything witchcraft related! I renounce ___ etc etc" , (fill in the blanks), also renouncing any possible generational curses thru bloodline (even if you are unaware because bloodlines from waaaay back could have a relative that was practicing something and/or fr€€ mas○nry etc) , then go right into Repenting, truly apologizing to God , because I really did not know that what I had been called into was considered a type of witchcraft or occult, deeply repenting I ask the Lord to please forgive me of my sins and for leading ppl the wrong way, and repent naming all the sins you can think of/remember, not just occult related sins but any sins, then I ask God to come into my heart and that I give my life to him and to please fill me with the Holy Spirit and to protect me and to please show me the way and to please DELIVER ME from anything trying to hang on to me. Thank him for his MERCY and GRACE etc etc etc etc.
Renouncing and Repenting before every prayer is everything when walking away from any sort of new age/ occult life. Do it day and night ❤❤❤

I also experienced the 'night throttle'/inability to breathe, each time I was bout to fall asleep, one night - I phoned the man I loved and he was useless so I called on Jesus and the Holy Spirit and I was immediately filled with peace. I sacrificed my love for that man, for the love of Jesus. The man is his own god, he paid lipservice to my growing faith but wanted to continue in his life of ego-sin... evil spewed from his mouth and eyes whenever I questioned his god-self so I had no choice but to leave him. I pray for him everyday...
You made the right choice, choosing Jesus. He will never let you down 🙏

Praise God for your testimony of salvation! I have a very similar "template" and finally came to the Lord this March. I'm amazed how Jesus and the Holy Spirit frequently slipped in to all the "open portals" in my life but it took some time for me to discern the why of it. I once was lost but now I'm found. Praying for all of the brothers and sisters still in the occult. There is salvation for us all who come to him in repentance.
It's always a good reminder for me to know that discerning truth can take a lot of time for many people. I struggle with seeing many I love who are lost 🙏

Thank you for your story. Lived near Byron Bay for 13 yrs and couldn't believe the glittering sparkly but dark garbage the area was soaked in. Stuff you wouldn't believe. Was in a relationship w a non believer as I was making my u turn back to faith. The closer I drew near to God the more she burrowed into new agey scuzz. Ended up splitting and returning to NZ after being in Aus most of my life. Still sad about our separation and her path, but know it's right to be here around believers. The instability of that area was off the charts and the people had no peace, crazy lives but would snort dismissively at Jesus.
The Lord rewards those who are are in His will! So glad to hear you put God first 🙏Psalms 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: The LORD will give grace and glory: No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

I would love to hear more about how you found settling into church. We have a real heart to help others like yourself and have had a couple of sisters join our church who have been saved from new age - and you tube videos like yours have been instrumental in bringing them to Christ. But at least one lady really found it hard to commit to church - and preferred her you tube Christianity. Another lady has flittered between numbers of churches, never settling. We love these ladies and would love to help them settle in the body of Christ and play their part. Any thoughts you can share on how we can help someone from this background settle in a church would be terrific
