do you know how divorce works? lol The only way the judge would deny the divorce is if they are unable to agree on splitting assets,, once these things have been agreed upon the divorce can be finalized (assuming they filed everything correctly, showed up to court, and don't have custody issues to resolve) - otherwise the judge would not deny the divorce

There have also been cases where they ask for a dissolution of marriage instead of divorce and those cases also can be denied demanding on merit. California & pretty much all 50 states have some variation of the no-fault divorce law. This means that you can legally get a divorce without having to give a reason.
