While Offaly lost this game ,the guard of honour was a lovely gesture...Antrim were on the up from 1986 when they lost by 5 points to the great cork side of 1986,they were 3 points up against Kilkenny in 1987 and lost by 3 points ..the 1988 all Ireland semifinal against Tipp was in the melting pot and Tipp won by 7 points..Antrim beat offaly in the league ,,and then in a divisional playoff so they were coming along nicy
