Yup when I did that I was really impressed, so much so that when the folks got a new car I bought them a set before the car even arrived and I got some for the work truck. Incandescents suck ass
1. Interior leds look cheap and makes you look like a 17 year old female who just got their license. 2. Most aftermarket floor mats look cheap and wanky. 3. Steering wheel I agree with unless it’s an expensive one if not the cheapies look like sh*t
A short throw shifter is definitely one of the best! I fabricated my own two part to modify both the pivot on the actual shift lever and the pivot on the transmission side & it shortened my shift stroke by about 66% and tell you what it is a night & day difference👌🏼
The best way to make your interior look good Step 1: Remove any trash, clothes (or dead bodies) from the car Step 2: Armorall all the surfaces and wipe it down to leave a slight sheen Step 3: Vacuum all the carpets Finally, break open a Black Ice air freshener.
I’ve had a couple short shifters in the past but my K tuned one feels great and looks kinda flashy too! It has adjustable height and placement of the shift knob so you can find the perfect position for you!
You checkout corbeau they have heated seats that look sick checkout theyre website or honestly installing seat heaters on regular seats is pretty easy and cheap
I absolutely couldn't live without the new head unit I installed in my 06 Forester XT. I still have stock speakers, but now I have Android Auto, Spotify, Nav, and great sound options. There's nothing else that will modernize an interior faster than a new head unit.
My favorite interior mod so far has been swapping my mkv base model plastic steering wheel for a leather GLI wheel. Especially when paired with a new shift knob it really makes the car feel more premium in the areas you touch the most. I couldn't live without my Android auto headunit and upgraded speakers either though. At this point all I need to do is get a couple modules to get the paddles working and look into some seats
2014-16 genesis coupes have a Y fork and I didn’t know till I tried replacing the knob because it was rattling.. And that’s when I learned how to install a short shifter and swap bushings.
I love the star lights I installed on my headliner. You can find a kit on amazon for a little over $100 and do it yourself with simple tools. I def think it was worth the it.
@@mercury0214 Yea that's what kinda bums me out about my mk4 Jetta , most of the factory wheels you can swap are lame looking. I'm totally in love with the mk1 scirocco wheel on my mk2 Jetta coupe though , I wish I could do something like that without dying in an accident without an airbag.
@@mercury0214 at least with 86 and e60 platforms, there are a bit of aftermarket wheels that still use the airbag core. I just use those cuz I know my ass finna die if I put one without an airbag
@@MrTheHillfolk you can get the jdm civic type r steering wheel. Very clean and sporty look but minimalist and comes with an airbag. Just put whatever other badge you want on the wheel
Livan Baez-Castillo oh yeah it’s a shame only a few models have enough aftermarket support to get something with an airbag. But I speak from experience when I say you need that airbag I had one without one on my first car years back and it put a dent in my skull
Favorite aftermarket part in my Focus st is the ford performance short throw shifter assembly paired with the JBR short shifter arm....just need to upgrade the shifter base and shifter cable bushings yet.
I would say tint is a good mod so you don't get cooked in summer. A quick release is also great in winter or summer when you bring it inside so it doesn't cook you or give you frostbite
Best interior mod for audio is an iPad dash it definitely looks cool and looks more modern if you have an older vehicle and usually you can piece it together with other dash parts from a junk yard to make everything fit
Gauges are the best mod. I'm not talking tacky stuff. If you've got a new VW, Audi, or BMW or something, get a P3Cars multifunction gauge. If you've got a MK3 like me, get a 42DraftDesigns single gauge panel to put an AFR gauge in.
Yo Dakota! Protip here, replace the crimp style clamp for your VW with a hose clamp. For around a dollar from your local hardware store, you will be able to swap out knobs with nothing but a screwdriver, and it will be damn-near welded on when it's torqued down.
I put a set of those silly looking chrome rings in my mk2 speedometer cluster. I've seen them on eBay and laughed at them, but totally changed my mind when I saw them in a car at a show. So I got a set for my mk4 Jetta project I'm working on now. It's a 4 piece set and has a surround for the lamps in the center , but I think I'm just gonna do the 2 rings for the tach and speedo... One of those things I thought was rice until I saw it and said , niiiice 👍 The mk2 got some bits like polished inner door handles and chrome door latches and polished lock knobs. Seems like a bunch of 20-30$ little mods like that really wake up an interior. I kinda wanna do new gauge faces for the mk4 , reverse them to black on white.
My steering wheel. I swaped my stock Honda Civic EK steering wheel for a nice Spoon Sports steering wheel, love that feel of a good steering wheel in my car.
The thing is in newer cars it's harder to change the interior since they have buttons on the wheel heated seats with audio in... in older cars it's easier since of the lesser tech wich i like
Shift knob NRG All over head lights switched to LED Carbon fiber wraped nav screen Color changing LED strip lights in the foot well Gonna do the short throw soon
These are simple but I put some stickers on the passenger airbag side of the car and to me they look nice with the upgraded interior. Also I put my graduation tassel and a picture of me and my girl on the navigation system screen. I have a 370z nismo tech btw😁

“Little tree black ice” why so specific 😂
I can't even change my shift knob, the reverse lock out is built in the OEM knob
Switching interior lights to LED is great for cars that didn't come with LED interior lights from the factory.
Oh yeah I did that with the color changing leds you can control with your phone so much brighter
Yup when I did that I was really impressed, so much so that when the folks got a new car I bought them a set before the car even arrived and I got some for the work truck.
Incandescents suck ass
I'm considering doing this to my wrangler, only problem tho is if the cops see it, I'll be fined.
It's always a must for me when I get a different car.
Only on vehicles that don't require computer reprogramming in order to make the swap... yes, that actually exists.

Swapped brz seats into my 2013 impreza hatch. Hands down one of my favorite things ive done to it.
