I will definitely try making this soon. I just had Vegan Papaya salad for the first time and fell in love with it! Now I can’t keep going to the restaurant it’s expensive and portion was small. So need this to make my own Papaya salad.
@@GiveMeLemons I am excited! so I made this yesterday and after leaving it for 24 hrs, I followed the rest of the steps. However, I think I didn't simmer it long enough and with a lid closed. So it has not reduced much (I made half of the recipe and ended up with 750 ml). I bottled it and it's been the fridge now for 7 hours. But, if I would like to reduce it more, can I still take it out of the fridge and bring it to boil and simmer it with the lid open?
Hi there! Congrats on making the sauce! The reduction process is just to concentrate the flavors so I would taste the sauce and see if it's flavorful enough. Otherwise, yes, you can reduce it more until it becomes pungent. 😊 Happy cooking and eating!
@@GiveMeLemons I wanted to give you an update; I love this sauce and used it when I needed that umami flavor. However, about 3 weeks ago we experienced indigestion. We thought it was the mushrooms dish we cooked (using the sauce). But then a week later or so a voice inside me said to throw this vegan sauce. Yesterday I removed it from the fridge and was shocked by the amount of molds on the sides of the bottle, the empty part of the bottle. The sauce was about 40% left of the bottle. I now know if I make it again it has to be consumed by 1 month.
Hey Nice to see a new vlog! I know I’ve not posted in a while either… AWESOME RECIPE!!! Vegan sauces makes me happy as they are very versatile and anyone would love the flavour.
Nice to see you here! Hope you're well. Yes, I like finding solutions for restricted diets. You know how it is in professional kitchens - gotta find a way for everyone to eat well. Equal umami opportunity for all!😂
You're sooooooooooooooooo welcome! I have many vegan friends who I always feel badly towards when making my recipes and wanted to offer a proper substitue. 😊
This is for my vegan friends out there 🙋🏻♀who shouldn't be missing out on the umami power of fish sauce. 💛

Vegan papaya salad sounds delicious!😋 Good luck with making it at home. I'm sure it'll be delicious!

Wow! This is awesome even for non-vegans. Thank you!
Yep! Used it for a savoy cabbage side dish yesterday. It adds so much flavor!
Brilliant presentation! A great recipe that can be used to garnish many different meals! Thanks for another great share! 😀
Thank you! I was so happy to get this out of my system. 😄
Wow! What an excellent idea for bringing a great umami flavour to any dish. This is a brilliant pantry item to have on hand. Very nicely done!

I want to try this. I’ll see if I can find the fermented black beans locally.
Thanks for sharing.
Make it a wonderful day..!!
You seem adventurous enough that you would ferment your own beans. 😊
I should.. I’ll have to see how it’s done.
I’m canning beans today in the pressure canner.😊
Yummm
Amazing! Have you done no-soy soysauce in the past??
I've never made no-soy soysauce before. Sounds interesting!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, and thank you!
