Dude, you probably won't see this but I just got into solos after doing a bunch if group kc. Flawless guide, I was able to run the head and get and deathless run on my first try just from watching your running videos. Thanks!
Thank you for all 3 of your guides I'm consistently clearing olm deathless! A tip for those who were being held back by not knowing how to get back on cycle like me because I feel like none of the guides on youtube really explain how to. You need to attack the hand or move to the other side the tick before the head starts the next attack. Turning visual metronome with the numbers and setting it to count 4 ticks helps immensely. Oh and remember that when olm changes phases he won't always be on the same count as the previous phase. Cheers!
dude all your guides are something else. sharing with some friends who are learning solos. i thought i had mage running down but i learned a lot here. eagerly awaiting your 4:1 guide :D
That’s incredible for me to hear, thank you! I’m glad the solos are gettin better! And yo I appreciate you sharing it! If you have any questions feel free to DM me or join disc! In the meantime for 4:1 especially lol can’t wait to put it out! Thanks again though for checkin it out beast
LOL cant say no to you watching more than once! I appreciate you for watching! Im glad it helps! feel free to shoot any questions my way if you have any (regarding melee and head phase as well if needed)
This finally helped me learn. I've been doing maybe 20 runs since I first saw this video. I still have to suicide so I go at Tile1 after dropping pots and attack, waiting for the head to turn. I get into the cycle fast enough that way. I sometimes mess up still, but it's pretty comfy. Using way less brews now. I still haven't managed to get the good start to get into the cycle on p2 or p3. Still haven't nailed what to do when I miss from tile 4. Usually too late noticing, but I will learn. Haven't started prac on the melee hand yet.
I'm glad to hear you're being persistent! How have the runs been going since the comment? :D If you've found a nice way to get into the cycle, thats awesome. I can definitely appreciate the resourcefulness. As you get more comfortable, It's always worth pushing your methods, IMO! IF you're going to sui a pile, I would highly recommend dropping the pots on tile 3 or right next to it (based on the side olm is on phase 1/3) This way you can try to pick it up slowly during mage running, as opposed to spam clicking it and tanking hits. For p2/p3 mage running, even p1 really, try to focus more on starting the timing from the right attack (from tile 4). Assuming you get the timing correctly, and you make it to tile 1 on time, you can continue the cycle. If you noodle on that attack from p4, the head goes middle and you might tank a hit. If you continue doing 3:0 (mage running) as normal, you can just simply tank the attack from olm, and continue the cycle like nothin happened. The only concern is that it might be a flame wall, which is preventable as shown in the video somewhere after 6:30 lol I hope your runs have been goin better each time! if you have any other questions feel free to ask! soz for the slow reply
Lemme know how it goes! I love progress lol and if you have questions about 4:1 shoot anytime, I’m still workin on that but disc is always open as well! Appreciate you watching

@@pepponi well I think I missed saying it in the vid but with mage running if you get out of rhythm try skipping the middle hit from thumb. Just don’t go to the right side too quickly (wait for head to go middle still so you have extra time) And with 1:0 it’s kind of it’s own timing. Just takes practice like the rest :p if you haven’t yet, I would recommend trying to reset hands for practice. Like hustle through p1 and p2 and then use extra stamina’s to reset the hand until you get it down. It’s worth the time, 100%. And I have some reference videos in description might help you get more perspective as well
I imported your tiles, but it seems you changed a bit compared to this video. Anyway... I imported them but I still only get my own color tiles. If I change any of them they all change. How can I lock a color of one tile, and change others. Having a hard time learning this, but I'll send a run a day just working on mage hand for the foreseeable future.
LOL I saw your newer comment before I saw this one. My bad! I didn't mean to reply to these so late. There's a setting in ground markers "remember color per tile" check that box and it should be able to import correctly. Maybe that doesn't matter. I didn't really think to use pastebin when I put this video out and my tile markers do tend to change a bit, so going back and remaking it may have allowed me to make mistakes :s If you see them different in other videos, such as runs or guides, it's because they're just placed for that specific video or something around that time frame XD
So I just started learning with a couple buddies we run trios or duos our main fall back for time is prep and in raid is running head 😂 definitely going to give this a shot and hope for the best. In a duo best I've done without a death is get olm to half hp on the head faze. Guess I got a lot of work to do. Gonna link them all your channel.

Did my first raid after watching made it to head phase with 4 brews left died because prayer dropped but best I've done so far I'm getting a death free raid this week :)
Great guide! problem is i get out of rythm and when i try to get back into 3:0 the head follows me like I have a chocolatebar in my pocket. What I am saying is that once I fuck up, i cant get back into the 3:0 rythm. Any tips?
Lmfao! It feels like that cause olm didn’t do RFD or MM so he can’t go buy chocolate and he’s too big to fit in other places. But it’s cause you’re one tick late lol you can either do the 1 tick after method ^ the simple version is only one click extra or you can skip the thumb hit. So hit on 4,1, skip 3 and hit again on 4. But when you skip 3 you can’t run too fast. If you go too fast it’ll go from the far left to the far right, instead of to the middle
@@ThePerfectG Thx for the answer bro xD! I will give it another try and see if I can manage, its so hard an frustrating whn you dont what you are doing wrong. Ty for the tips

How do I get back into cycle if I make a mistake or die and have to re-enter the room? As soon as I get out of cycle the specials prevent me from being able to start mage running again. I died during final phase and now whenever I enter the room he starts out with a flame wall or some bs and I can't even start the run. And sometimes after I mess up he just chills facing the center and launches attack after attack refusing to turn his head.
I gotta take accountability and say I didn’t put how to get back in mage running very well so my bad! I wanna preface my answer with there’s lots of ways to get back in cycle with mage running and they all may sound a bit confusing but what I recommend is going to the right (3) and hitting (on the correct tick) then moving to mid left (1). You may tank on the way to mid left if the head is middle, or if it’s right and your early/late but as long as you hit on (1) and do damage it’ll go left if you tanked on the way. If you didn’t tank and were on tick it’ll just turn like normal If you’re doing mage running and you’re late in the cycle I would just skip the second hit (2). You just have to make sure to click on the correct tick (from til 3) when you get there
As far as when you die and re enter, immediately hit and run to a specific tile. If you re enter and are closer to the mage hand, hit and then run all the way to tile 3, head will go middle while you run (after tanking a hit). Then you time it from tile 3 like normal If you re enter and you’re closer to the melee side, hit and as soon as you see the sang staff start the hit (or xp drop) then run to tile 1 (mid left). If your hit from the re entry did damage, it’ll go left. If you hit a 0 olm head will go mid. You have time to notice this and time correctly just running to tile 3 but if you don’t notice it in time you’ll just tank a hit (olms head in the middle) but you’ll still go to tile 3
Appreciate you checkin out the video beast! I hope I was able to help with the answer! If you need clarification or have other questions feel free to ask :p or DM me on disc if you wanna set up a duo sesh sometime
@@ThePerfectG Thank you for the reply. I appreciate that was well as the video. A lot of guides give you the steps but don't explain the big picture. Your video was helpful for that. I realized I was over-complicating getting back into cycle. I did two more attempts yesterday and almost got a deathless run doing mage hand running and 1:0. Your suggestion for getting back into cycle after dying worked perfectly. I think the only thing I'm still a bit unclear about is when exactly Olm is able to turn his head. He has a 4-tick attack cycle, at what point during these 4 ticks does he turn his head? Because I feel like when I step to one of the tiles that turns his head, he either does it the very tick after I move or waits 1 tick and then turns. Is he able to turn at any point or only a specific point? I feel like if I understand this I'll really be able to react to any situation. And to be clear I understand he turns his head as a reaction to you, I'm just a bit on unclear on when/why exactly he can turn.
I marked the starting tile (for p1) and I click as soon as the attack option is available and then immediately on the mage runner tile but I always get hit. I must be doing something wrong but I’m not sure. I’ve tried 5-6 times in p1. I have managed to get in rhythm a few times, but then it fucks up because I don’t get dragged when attacking on tile 4. Maybe I’m miss clicking the hand? Or clicking hand and runner tile together too quickly? Ahhh.
Maybe you’re on long range :o you have to be on accurate to mage run and get dragged. But on p1 start on tile 4 and when you see the attack option you click to attack hand as soon as attack appears and then click tile 1 as soon as you attack. It’s almost instantly after you click attack that you click to move. And if you’re in rhythm but you’re ever late and tank a hit on the way to tile 1, wait a sec then run to tile 4 skipping the hit on the thumb. But don’t run too fast so the head can still go middle. Lemme know if that helps! If not we can run a duo some time and I can see what’s goin wrong Appreciate you checkin it out beast! Hope it helps
@@ThePerfectG Ahh, just tried and failed. I can predict the head moving when I'm standing on tile 1 and running over to melee pretty well. But I think the problem is my timing on tile 4. I think I've figured out why I wasn't getting dragged - I think my click attack on mage hand wasn't registering as I was simply just misclicking it. But even after I figured that out I can just very rarely get that attack timed right, it always seems to just screw up. I'm a bit burnt with it now, gonna take a break and go to the gym. Hey man, I was wondering if I really could take you up on the offer of a duo when you have time? I think it would be pretty helpful! If you have time and are willing to, I'd really appreciate that? Thanks dude.

I now understand why sometimes you have to run to the left side when not hitting. Seriously good explained video. Thank you Question: Beginning at 1:17, your first mage attack from tile 4 noodled, I saw you run to tile 1, attack, then click far left but your character never made it all the way and the cycle was still good?
you can see there that even tho he splashed the head turns all the way left. this happens randomly depending on olms attack cycle. you just need to watch for this and get back to the safe side before he throws out his next attack
LOL This is true - and IM SORRY I DID NOT MEAN TO MISS THIS MESSAGE!!! I didnt notice exactly what it was for a while during editting but I actually just had XP drops off LOL!! I didnt noodle. I thought the same thing when I was filming it --- so what happened was --- i thought i noodled so i started to head left but because I saw the head start to jack itself to the left, I knew it was going to turn left so I didnt go all the way. I was able to make it back to tile #2 before the head noticed me on the left side and yeah, that keeps the same cycle as normal, you're attacking every 4 ticks and olm moves every 4 ticks appreciate you watchin G! I hope the answer helps
@@ThePerfectG no worries man. I get it now, I can almost get an olm kill without dying once. Getting into 4:1 quicker is what I’m working on atm. Your videos have helped a lot 👌one question I do have, when olm does two consecutive attacks in quick succession, does that count as 1 “auto” in his cycle?
@@Hawke-nd8yd it’s actually still the same amount of hits but when you skip an auto attack, it adds it to the next time you get hit if it’s the special then you get an auto+special and then a second auto.. sometimes it’s just two fast auto attacks back to back if you skipped the auto before the null instead.
@@Hawke-nd8yd but regardless of what it is: no it counts as the normal cycle but the last hit that happens is the part of the cycle you’re on. So if you got auto+special and then another auto, you’re gunna get a null (normal cycle) and then another auto and then the special
Ngl, as a complete beginner about to try my first raid, this guide is EXTREMELY confusing. Throughout the first half of the video, you talk as much about p2 and p3 while explaining p1, and also constantly switch between explaining “standard 3-0” and 1 tic after. I was so lost halfway through even after watching twice. Am I just not supposed to try solo first? Is the guide only for people who have done it in groups and know some basic terms?
Yeah solo isn’t something that people do first lol although you could but it does get confusin. Cuz in this guide I don’t explain anything except mage running which is 3:0. It doesn’t go over the cycle, how to melee hand or how to head phase. My bad for making it that way, but I do appreciate the feedback. Once you try it yourself and if you come back to this it’ll probably make more sense. If you wanna shoot me questions in DM or on comments I’ll be more than happy to help. But it’s genuinely harder to solo cox well (or even half assed) than zulrah, team TOB, and honestly inferno cause inferno is just the same thing over and over. But like I said, thank you for the feed back
The guide is informative, but the gameplay completely mismatches what you are explaining. You should slow down the portions that you're describing. You do it sometimes, but not during the critical parts.

And to be clear I understand he turns his head as a reaction to you, I'm just a bit on unclear on when/why exactly he can turn.
So in p2/p3, can you start on tile 5 and then eventually just use 1,3 and 4?
I feel like I am hacking the game now. Olm can’t see me. It’s like I’m John Cena hacking into the matrix. Sit, Olm.
And his name is trippy. John!!!!!!!!!
If not we can run a duo some time and I can see what’s goin wrong
Appreciate you checkin it out beast! Hope it helps
@@ThePerfectG Damn man, I didn't think you'd reply. Big thanks for such a detailed response! I'm gonna try again later today!
@@womblesfan8939 my pleasure :D lemme know how it goes! gl beast
@@womblesfan8939 yeah for sure man. Slide through the disc or dm me. It’s in the description. Well set somethin up for tomorrow or later tonight slightly possibly. But I can def run through it with you by tomorrow.
Great guide. Looking forward to implementing it incorrectly.
Oh hey I saw you at GOTR a few hours ago! Appreciate it bro! If you ever have any questions feel free to ask (: thanks for coming through
@@ThePerfectG My clan's having an RC competition, so I'm here today too lol. Thanks for the discord invite! See you there.
Great
Appreciate it beast, cool profile pic
Loving the guides my man. Do you mind if link some of your guides in my clans discord? I’m building a solo raids channel and your guides are On point. Alsoooo the discord link you provided doesn’t seem to be working. Love your work
Absolutely! You can link it wherever (: if there’s any questions about it in the future you can always reach out. I’m gunna fix the discord lmao thanks for letting me know.. that thing always wants to stop working 😳
Appreciate you checking out the stuff
Would it be possible to make a 4:0 guide on p3?
yeah definitely :D that and head phase stuff comin up soon
I now understand why sometimes you have to run to the left side when not hitting. Seriously good explained video. Thank you
Question: Beginning at 1:17, your first mage attack from tile 4 noodled, I saw you run to tile 1, attack, then click far left but your character never made it all the way and the cycle was still good?
you can see there that even tho he splashed the head turns all the way left. this happens randomly depending on olms attack cycle. you just need to watch for this and get back to the safe side before he throws out his next attack
I was able to make it back to tile #2 before the head noticed me on the left side and yeah, that keeps the same cycle as normal, you're attacking every 4 ticks and olm moves every 4 ticks
appreciate you watchin G!
So if you got auto+special and then another auto, you’re gunna get a null (normal cycle) and then another auto and then the special
where pt. 2?
But like I said, thank you for the feed back
Are you having any luck?
The guide is informative, but the gameplay completely mismatches what you are explaining. You should slow down the portions that you're describing. You do it sometimes, but not during the critical parts.
Appreciate the feedback! I’ve definitely got some work to do on editing xD thanks for checking out the vid man! If you have any questions feel free to hmu
😭
How’s it going so far for ya? And thanks for checkin it out (:
@@ThePerfectG 🙁
Best mage hand guide so far! But where is part 2? For melee hand methods >:(
Will be out this weekend (: thank you so much! Im glad it helps
