After watching so many guides on how to do olm, this is the one that makes sense. I've spent years trying to understand how to do this and never came across this video. Thank you so much for making it.
This is surprisingly way more informative than quite a few guides I've watched. I've picked up a lot of useful information from your commentary. I was a bit mythed that the guide I was watching didn't mention how to start the fight when entering the room. Thanks for the commentary!
Thanks, This is helpful. I wasn't really sure of what 4:1 exactly was because no one really explained it that easily. Just null skip to middle and special skip to melee.. I mean that right there is worth the entire video.
*Special skip to melee means?* On another video I saw he said at accordingly to olm tick (Stay thumb only hit when olm hits you, 1) Double auto run mid then go from 3:1 into 4:1... 2) 1 auto 1 null then run left to mid then begin cycle... 3) Special (trying to figure out still... So what does *special skip to melee* means?
@@danmoua7686 it means that when olm’s head turns to the middle his special attack gets skipped due to olm having a 4 attack cycle and when you set up 4:1 you make it so the turn of the head matches up with the special
Lmao you get lots of practice doing 4:1, but when you have a Tbow you can run around with your head cut off and olm will die in a minute whatever you do
0:47 what im struggling to understand is in mage 3:0, you attack every 4 ticks and olm attacks every 4 ticks. so to stay in sync you have to move 3 ticks atk 1 tick repeat. But from the rightmost tile to the left most are 4 movement ticks. Would this not ruin the cycle when you move 4 ticks and atk 1 tick would be total 5 ticks and youd be off cycle.
Not really. I host team learner raids occasionally for the ironscape community, but I haven't done a solo session in months. Too busy with irl and burnout
I see so dont mage run unless olm turn its head, melee skip is quite interesting (attack only when olm hits ya), and mainly dont have to overeat when ovl is about to run out... Also, if you splash on far right *pretend* you didn't splash keep continuing... Got it! Thanks! (Feels like the first time I learn 800 enrage RS3 Arrax and 1000 enrage Telos gotta die alot to master it just like my current Elden Ring game 😂🤣🤣🙇♂️)
This is what people need honestly. Idk why i didnt look for a run with commentary until now

Thanks for the commentary!
The best guides are when the run isn't smooth. I NEEDED to see the "panic" situations and how you overcame them. That was very helpful, thank you.
Still helping me in 2023, your whole calming, simplifying demeanour is much appreciated.
starting off on the line and hitting the opposite hand was game changing for me :D Great vids mate subbed
Thank you so much for these videos! You have no idea how wonderful your commentary is for someone trying to learn :D
this is so much better than any guide out there right now. thank you for this breakdown
Made it all make a lot more sense man, i didnt understand the auto attack - null - auto attack - special that much untill seeing this one, gg
Legend bro, everyone else overcomplicated things and didn't explain well. Thank you
learned more from this than hours of watching people try to explain it, thanks!
Thank you so much for this video
Yeah very good guide exactly what a bossing guide should be

Important to spec hand before i start each phase at olm?can it not be done after mage hand is done. Lightbearer is 2 spec every phase for me now
This video is so good
hey man this was really helpful! Thank you :)

When you attack from out of range with a ranged weapon your character will move and attack on the same tick so you can keep up the 4 tick cycle
@@SoloJawn thanks man, that makes sense, guess thats why everyone keeps saying trident on accurate
