I feel like it’s so good, it almost had to be pre-written, and the suggestions were from plants in the audience. But then, I doubt he’s paid enough, as a stand-up comedian performing in small venues, to pay five people enough money to guarantee they won’t reveal his secret!
I was lucky enough to see Chris at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year… he is impressive, just the best comedian ever! So clever, and fast, and cultured, and different. He is an absolute talent and I am sure there is a lot of work behind all these jokes! Really great ❤
I saw someone say recently "too good to not be fake" (i.e. pre-rehearsed rhymes, planted audience suggestions). Chris has been uploading freestyle videos for over ten years. He's done tutorials on learning to freestyle. He's done multi-hour livestreams where he raps about the chat's suggestions--bar after bar after bar after bar.... There are endless videos of him rapping about live audience suggestions, in dozens of countries, at hundreds of venues. He's built such a massive brand around it that, at this point, it'd be *more* work to be faking it than for him to just actually learn how to freestyle. "Too good to not be fake" must be the biggest compliment you could give a performer. It means they've achieved a level of skill that you didn't believe to be humanly possible.
Exactly, it's just like when you get accused of cheating in a competitive online game. Nope, I just have 20,000 hours of practice. So, thanks for the compliment.
Chris, your ability to do condensed inside rhymes is getting better and better! I keep getting more moments where I need to pause to appreciate how hard the bars are 😅 straight fire!!!

@@JoshT4life came looking for this comment 😂
@@JoshT4lifeharry mack is not a comedian. Apples and oranges
@@JoshT4lifeis that the guy who stands on the street corners freestyling about anything that walks by?
So, just to make it clear... Topics out of nowhere. And he connects them. Not only that, he knows facts and keywords of each topic. Not only that, but he puts it in rhymes. Not only that, but with a flow on rhythm. Not only that, but never stuttering, choking or pausing. I've seen like 100 of his videos by now, and each time I see a new one, I'm like "how the f can he know so much, and do it so smooth?" - hat down for you Chris!
A British guy rapping about baseball launch angles?!?
@@grahamstrouse1165 Sounds like a punch line to a joke, he killed it though.
Oxford's not just a name ig
@@samuel.j.barkerexactly. I was going to say his education is really shining through here.
@@grahamstrouse1165 yeah he mentions never watching the sport and then dropped launch angle in the flow. Wild haha.
If I didn’t see it for myself I would think this is impossible. Unreal talent. I can’t believe that was a freestyle but it was. Holy smokes.
Look up Harry Mack if you want to witness the master.
@@jawadmajeed8514he’s really not that crazy, y’all dick ride him so much
September 2024 and I cannot believe it took me this long for RUclips to recommend this! Well done mate!
🤘🏼🍿🍿🤘🏼
the entire home run section was some of the best freestyling I have witnessed
It travels in a far arc/Clear to the car park/The parking lot/Americans this lot 🔥🔥
the transition from the irish famine section as well, going from leprechauns and such to boston celtics was so insanely good o-o
That’s because it’s written. You’re welcome.
I love these kinds of freestyles with random topics and then go off. You should look into Harry Mack as well. Turner and Mack together would be awesome to see!

That man swallowed a lyrical dictionary ... What a great talent .
This guys brain is firing on all cylinders. The freestyle abilty is on par with Harry Mack and on top of that being able to incorporate this live into a comedy sketch is astounding! Mad respect my guy
Yeh its very very very good. But... ...he aint on Mack level
Nowhere near Harry Mack 😂 good lord.
@@jawadmajeed8514 Pretty sure Harry Mack himself would concede some points to this guy. This dude has almost no filler lines through 3 minutes of rapping. There's no "ay ay Chris Turner comin at ya" while he picks the flow back up or thinks of a next line. He also puts together 8-12 bars that progress a topic. That's fucking wild off the top.
They're both the top of their game. They're just good for different reasons.
@@rob_the_plug Harry Mack would not need to concede any points whatsoever. Yes this guy is talented but I’m not seeing any change in flows, play on words, different schematics, or triplets. Off the top is one thing but the observational awareness and flexibility Hmack has makes him the master. I do like seeing more people rap off the top but you really can’t compare to be quite honest.
@@jawadmajeed8514 Went and looked up Mr Harry Mack and I agree with Rob. Even if Harry didn't have to conceded, I think he would. Dude seems authentic and like he wants to spread them good vibes. Mack's got a bit more ability to throw in some diversity like you said. I think both would give mad props to the other
His flow is insane. He never misses a beat even with the most out of pocket topics given to him live.
Really great ❤
This really was an incredible freestyle. He is a lyrical master
Love how he actually says ‘out of Fenway’ during the home run bit! Kinda gets drowned in the laughter but actually a sick line
After saying that he knows about Boston's teams for every sport EXCEPT baseball! Haha!
Freestyling is tough as it is. This was highly impressive. He rhymed, he was on beat, and made sense with those weird suggestions.
dunno how you're not over a million subs already, truly impressive wordplay...and you personify that dry British sarcasm. perfect, just perfect.
A history lesson, with jokes in rap form. Just utter genius.
One of my favourites, for sure. The audience worked, the tension built, and the rap was killer.
Yep, really good points people should see this

Exactly, it's just like when you get accused of cheating in a competitive online game. Nope, I just have 20,000 hours of practice. So, thanks for the compliment.
Saw Chris years ago at fringe festival, glad to see hes still as talented and entertaining.
Chris, your ability to do condensed inside rhymes is getting better and better! I keep getting more moments where I need to pause to appreciate how hard the bars are 😅 straight fire!!!
Harry Mack would be proud
Big facts

I saw him recently at a corporate event and can say he did this for a combined half an hour if not more - simply amazing guy
Ok that was SO FUCKING IMPRESSIVE I could not even fathom being able to do that. What a legend
Never heard a more lyrically superior freestyle than this. Absolutely zero filler. No cussing just to buy time. Incredible tie-ins and punchlines. Unreal 👏
Edit: I know who Harry Mack is. Heard him freestyle a bunch. Harry’s flows are better for sure. But this dude’s CONTENT and STRUCTURE are better than Harry’s.

Prose and the voice inside another's mind while they read words...is a skill unto itself.
There is a subtlety and aesthetic beauty to how one decides to turn thought into the thoughts of others.
