Using other data the FBI has provided about Hispanic vs non-Hispanic, you can create a statistical model to determine the true murder/robbery difference between blacks and whites without considering the vast amount of “white” criminals who can’t speak English. 12x as much crime, sounds about right considering the world I’ve experienced my whole life of judging people by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.

Decked out with ice, you know you wanna see him. Gettin' it on with the Eskimos. He don't care 'bout your silly little ethical notes. 'Cause he's filthy. Should he grab a bite to eat? He looks hungry. Starving like a slum, like he's in the Irish famine looking for potatoes. Bat that food off his plate (home run!) "I don't need those." He's a royal MC, don't you see the crown? Gonna take producer beats and stuff 'em in the ground. It makes a beautiful sound and his eyes they sparkle. When he's done, he'll be making love to Megan Markle.

@@zedwpd It's possible. However, given how freestyle rapping is an actual thing and people pull it off even incorporating words they get on the spot *while they're rapping* - it wouldn't surprise me that there's at least a couple other people that ascend to the level of Harry Mack.
How is this even possible. Most people would have a hard time just remembering the short list of things the audience mentioned. Then, under the pressure of being on stage, most would have a harder time. This guy is able to take suggestions that require a fairly significant amount of knowledge and then blend it all together intelligibly while rhyming in beat. Very impressive and entertaining for sure.

Look up Harry Mack, prepare to have your mind blown. That being said I've never seen anyone else do this, so this video is still really cool.

After the suggestions he was bantering with the audience. I think he used this time to mentally prepare his lines. Very impressive.

This is hands down one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. Stringing those random topics together while making jokes and solidly rapping is something I would’ve called an impossible task and he made it look easy. This guy is going places.

Its likely also a technique to help keep the rhymes coming to mind, like using the target word in the 4th bar

Still better than 99% of rappers just because they suck. he has enough intelligence and knowledge that he can say things that at least have some meaning rather than just BS filler and talking about b1tch3s and ho3s and twerking.

Every freestyle rap video I have seen of Chris Turner he absolutely kills it, and some of the audience suggestions are so difficult. he also does stand-up which is amazing too.

One of my favourites, for sure. The audience worked, the tension built, and the rap was killer.
I saw someone say recently "too good to not be fake" (i.e. pre-rehearsed rhymes, planted audience suggestions).
Chris has been uploading freestyle videos for over ten years. He's done tutorials on learning to freestyle. He's done multi-hour livestreams where he raps about the chat's suggestions--bar after bar after bar after bar.... There are endless videos of him rapping about live audience suggestions, in dozens of countries, at hundreds of venues. He's built such a massive brand around it that, at this point, it'd be *more* work to be faking it than for him to just actually learn how to freestyle.
"Too good to not be fake" must be the biggest compliment you could give a performer. It means they've achieved a level of skill that you didn't believe to be humanly possible.

There's no "ay ay Chris Turner comin at ya" while he picks the flow back up or thinks of a next line. He also puts together 8-12 bars that progress a topic. That's fucking wild off the top.
They're both the top of their game. They're just good for different reasons.

Off the top is one thing but the observational awareness and flexibility Hmack has makes him the master. I do like seeing more people rap off the top but you really can’t compare to be quite honest.

I feel like it’s so good, it almost had to be pre-written, and the suggestions were from plants in the audience.
But then, I doubt he’s paid enough, as a stand-up comedian performing in small venues, to pay five people enough money to guarantee they won’t reveal his secret!

The thing is most people that freestyle already came up with rhymes at home and have them in the chamber. Especially people who rap battle. This guy dropped aditional educational information on the fly.
Man as a writer, I'm jealous. While not my favorite genre of music I can appreciate the artform. Freestyle rap like that is so much harder than people realize. You have both my respect and envy. I got work to do.

Been watching this guy for 10 years when he was no1 with just braces and great talent when I was deep into wanting to do stand up. Alas I couldn't and had to go back to my 3rd world where art doesn't exist yet I can still live vicariously through this guy and have a personal stake in his success.

Even understanding some of the tricks at play here, its so impressive. Its cool to see you getting better at it. Most crazy to me is that you’re delivering jokes and punchlines on top - a freestyle is one thing; a free style with joke structure..seems harder :) cheers!

@@JDSabre There's a lot of filler lines used to help the flow continue while thinking of the next actual bars. Check out some of Eyedea's freestyles, that dude was a fuckin genius.
Holy shit. you're incredible dude. I can't even fathom the amount of skill, talent, and dedication/hard work it takes to come up with freestyles raps like this on the spot. Just ridiculously amazing.
I couldn't even relate any of those things to each other if I tried really hard and you gave me an hour to do it. He somehow seamlessly ties everything together, on beat, and even gives context to what each thing is, all in real time without practicing. Its insane, his mind is on another level.
That closeout line was the mic drop moment he deserved for the rest of that work. Skills.

If I did a rap that came close to the quality of this rap, it would take me 1 full day to think of witty bars and to write everything out, and even then I couldn't present it that well as he did! Whereas he created this rap in just a few minutes!

HM can rap fast, I give him that, but in terms of knowledge, creativity and sentence structure, nobody beats Chris Turner. He doesn't rap as fast, but his bars are hands down much more ingenious than Harry Mack's. That's why Chris is better. It can be proven easily upon closer examination of their lines, e.g.:
_"...They like Mack, you so gone, we can barely see 'ya_
_I woke up at 6am now I sip Tia Ramia_
_Harry Mack I'm in it, I came to get my bars up_
_Had to get a bomb warmed up croissant from that Starbucks_

Pretty boring stuff, the syntax of his phrases is really onesided, most of his self-centered sentences start with "I'm...", "Harry Mack I...", "I'ma...", and the rest is basically stringing random fragments together that don't really tell a story. The historical references (knowledge) are close to zero. Compared to Harry Mack Chris Turner's freestyle raps are like poems, the syntax of his phrases vary, his content is creative and the topics are linked together, e.g.:
_"...I stumbled and broke my glasses._
_When I get drunk off Tequila the girls asses_ (enjambment!)
_look so fine I observed._
_I crash and I burn like the Hindenburg_ (link Tequila-Hindenburg, nice transition)
_Coming in the early twentieth century_ (knowledge)
_You tried to land there it was meant to be_
_But didn't end pleasantly_
_Oh the humanity_
_All the German people dying_ (knowledge)
_they were set free_
_It was burning (cross rhyme!)_
_Never do again_
_Careful don't fill with the Hydrogen..."_ (knowledge)
To think that such lines are created on the spot is a stroke of genius. HM can't hold a candle to that. Now, I challenge you to show me an enjambment or cross rhyme by HM, if you even know what 'enjambment' or 'cross rhyme' is. Only literate people know of this stuff, but I guess for the majority of HM fans it's a level too high to understand.

Yes this discussion has been had many many times, and 95% of people agree harry mack is in another league above chris. Chris is good, not taking anything away from him, he is a very smart guy. Music is an artform of time rhythm and harmony, include lyrics and we have another dimension, and you have to consider all these. Chris is smart and his lyrics are great, but hes slow and his cadence sucks. Harry mack is an absolute master of rhythm and cadence and his lyrics are just as good as Chris's. He has talked about getting away from using filler and recently hes been doing very good at avoiding it. There would be no way chris could rap at harry's speed without also using filler, and I highly doubt he could get half of harry's speed or cadence variance. But you do you, that's why its art, everyone see it different. No need to be an asshole, but hey what can we expect from a guy who thinks chris is better?
