Yeah I love all of Gohan's fights throughout the Tournament of Power. But people only care about the flashy fights that focus on characters overpowering each other and not the strategic ones like these (then complain about only not getting these type of fights)
agreed. even though Gohan ended in a double knockout of sorts, this is the best he's looked since the end of the Cell saga. first time I'd seen it, i was satisfied with the outcome. his turning to other senses to locate the enemy isn't normally found in the show which makes it refreshing and reflects how much of a martial artist he is to overcome this handicap in battle
It’s never explained what are the criteria for the Mortal Level Ranking. But my guess its based on population and how civilized the mortals of each one, not by how powerful they are, I guess. Universe 7’s ranking make sense when you think about it, considering how many galaxy-universal threats there were. Like Majin Buu, Frieza, and etc. The Supreme Kai himself stated there are 28 planets with mortal life in Universe 7, which is extremely small considering how big a universe is. It also shows how terrible Supreme Kai and Beerus are at their jobs 😂

The Gohan Vs Lavender fight was actually one of the coolest fights in Dragon Ball Super, due to it being a strategic and not just big muscle guy punch and win, Gohan had to come up with strategies to beat his opponent instead of winning with brute force. (That's mainly the reason why Piccolo is one of my favorite characters, he uses strategy to balance out his lack of strength, outsmarting his opponents like in the Frost fight)
Vegeta vs Caba was really good. I loved the use of martial arts skill, especially since we knew Vegeta could win any time he wanted just by powering up. He chose to make it a good fight.
The great thing about this fight is that lavender is acting like a psychopath in this fight and gohan[being rusty] had to put everything he had into this fight

Dragon ball got me in to martial arts, and ive happily spent 20/30 years practicing in different styles and been in plenty of fights. The ones that look unhinged get my 100% right away. I prefer to fight with honor like my man Goku, but if i suspect there might be underhanded ways like poison (actually did get drugged with heroine once, dude was a junkie and my shin hit his upper thigh where it caught a needle) and its a fight against time. I already have a naturally dast heartbeat, so i got flooded quick, next kick was to the liver then uppercut as his jaw dropped and then i vomitted from that glycerine and vowed that if i see someone using it they fet it smacked out their hands, if they deal it they get a reason to need opoids. I deal with Dilaudid better than that stuff, never once in all the dumb partying that i did was i unable to move, all my surgeries and hospital stays too, no drug has made me just pass out before i have to let that happen, H is the only one that has and i dont like having control over my body

Freezer in this universe has obliterated many planets probably solar systems and definitely conquers those throughout the entire universe. But I do agree kind of understanding that they rank so low leaves open a lot of exciting opportunities in terms of the powers of the other universes. Personally, the tournament of power was my favorite arc.

So you can already guess, champa's universe strongest fighter is hit and they have an higher than average mortal level but yet goku and vegeta are somewhat relative to hit still. So you can already guess, champa's universe strongest fighter is hit and they have an higher than average mortal level but yet goku and vegeta are somewhat relative to hit still. Which pretty much means that what the numbers represent.....average aka we have too many weak humans/aliens in our universe to be considered good enough weighing us down and people goku/vegeta/majin buu/gohan and a few others carrying the shit out of universe 7.

It's a bit late to comment this but this expo doesn't happen in the manga. Instead all the God's of destruction fight in a battle Royale where Beerus rolls all of them for the Zeno's entertainment.
Realistically, despite everyone always ,asking this put to be that Goku put his and several other universe in danger of deletion… the truth is they were all already planned for deletion. But the TOP saves 1, so Goku actually just made it so 1 is spared. Thus SAVING trillions
gohan doesnt need to go super sayan,hes stronger normaly because of the weird mystic thing the kai did,he does get a better powerup in the latest canon movie however,also the universe level doesnt imply power level
If possible, I'd pack 2 episodes into 1 episode. TOP Arc is fun, but poorly paced in many spots.
Mortal Level is determined by how well the Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction do their jobs. Shin sucks at his job and Beerus is just lazy.

Mortal ranking based purely on strength is stupid, by that logic if Buu had won and destroyed all life in all world the ranking of U7 would be insanely high. It makes more sense mortal ranking evalutes how well Kais have been nurting good civilization and how well destroyers have been deleting bad ones. Based on how shit U9 seems to be with trash gods and how Shin has been doing nothing much like Beerus that would make more sense.
