Hi Arna. Just an idea for a video. Maybe you could do a video about matching foundations to primers. I know a lot of people struggle with it. Explaining how to tell if a foundation is water based or silicone based. Same with primers. You could maybe list you favourite foundation primer combos, maybe even with a few primer options. Your favourite primers etc. Just an idea. As it so important to get the combo right. Xx
I've NEVER understood why the Pro-Glow range's lightest shade is a good 2 shades darker than the Pro-Matte?!? I've always wanted to try it, because I prefer dewy skin; but the amount of white mixer I'd have to use, stops me (for my skintone, it would probably be 30-40% mixer). It's especially aggravating that they both have the same level number & are both named "Ivory". Plus, I'm still salty that L'Oréal discontinued the Lumi Magic primer... I bought 4 back-ups. ;)
Natalie Valentina I knooow! It’s the same with the Maybelline Fit Me, the lightest Matte shade is way lighter and more yellow than the lightest Dewy shade!
Natalie Valentina oh I am totally with you on that!! In fact, I HATE when any foundation or concealer has the word "ivory" in the shade name...yet, it is nothing like the shade of true ivory! 🤔 I just don't see why they always do that!! The other thing that pisses me off perhaps even MORE is when makeup companies advertise their concealer not only to cover imperfections and undereye circles, but also to highlight and contour with. They say "to highlight, choose two shade lighter than your skintone", and "to contour, choose a concealer two shades deeper than your skintone". So...did they NOT think about those of us who are already LIGHTER than their lightest concealer..necermind finding something TWO shades LIGHTER to highlight with! 😞
Nice one again Arna. I'm so tempted to try this since I like a more dewy foundation nowdays and here in Oz there really isn't much cool & dewy to choose from in the under $30-$40 range (my limit these days), and I figure my nice new white foundation mixer'll knock that pink down a hint. I did LOL at your "drug strore pink" colour name, apt, but not necessarily applying just to the DS end of the spectrum - I've tried some right shockers from the higher end companies over the years too. *sigh* I don't know why it's so hard to a get a truly cool pink additive in the right amount in foundation. It's like the manufacturers think any ole pink will do, and it's so often too warm (or too dark) and too much of it - and then when it's not quite right, I'm sure they must just go "well we'll just add MORE". Which just means we end up with that delightful (not!!) near-sunburn colour that always seems to then oxidise further into absolute cooked lobster territory! PS... get well soon!!
I am trying to find the best foundation for my older dry skin and this video was so helpful. My skin is fair also. Thanks so much, I will be waiting for more.
I laughed when you said "drug store pink" it made me think of the rimmel stay matte foundation. I have a fairly cool/pink undertone and that still makes me look like I have a sunburn lol. 201 in the Infallible Pro-Matte 24-hour foundation is lighter than 201 in the Infallible Pro Glow foundation, that shade actually works fairly well on me, it was also a good mixing foundation like the dewy one, my favorite combo I have ever tried is the naked skin foundation in 05 and the Infallible Matte foundation in 201.😊
I've been eyeing this, the Maybelline Fit Me in 102 and the Maybelline Superstay in 102. My holy grail is MAC Studio Fix Fluid and I'm also loving the Idun Mineral Veil. I've never worn any of the Maybelline or L'Oreal foundations. Do you like any more than the rest? I hope you're feeling better!
I like the Fit Me Matte & Poreless best for colour, finish, & medium coverage (similar to Studio Fix in some ways), but I do really love this L’Oréal one for the formula!
Cara Millstein- I have combo skin and I have been battling the Maybelline superstay for over a week. I have tried so many primers and mixing with other foundations and am having no luck. It is about to be returned. It just looks so horrible after about 4 hours of wear
Arna Alayne So I'm in my bathroom testing out the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless 102 and wanted to update you. I think I may be a bit too pink for this one but I could make it work. I do like the finish, shade and coverage so I will definitely keep trying it. My MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW10 and Idun Mineral Veil in Jorunn are still my favorites but I think this one could be good. Only thing I hate is it's crazy messy!! One use and the top is all covered along with the inside of the cap.
I have always wondered about this one! I’ve avoided it because before cutting dairy out of my diet I had terrible rosacea and was told not to put alcohol on my skin ever. My rosacea is completely cured, so now I’m curious to try. 🤔
You poor thing! Hope you are all better soon! I’m so glad you did this review.. I’d love to see a video from you all about eyeliners.. like how to apply top eyeliner and not screw it up haha. Love your channel!
I don’t own any white mixers yet, so I mixed this with the Hard Candy Glamoflauge foundation in Porcelain, and I couldn’t believe how beautiful the finish was!! Idk if I was just having a really good skin day or what (I have dry skin), but I was so happy!
Just tried this one yesterday (I've had it for a little while and it seems to me that it's darkened over time somehow?) without adding anything to lighten it and I looked so orange, but adding something to lighten it definitely helps. I like the lightweight feel to it. Great video as always! :)
Have you ever tried their True Match Super Blendable foundation? It’s been my go-to for a while. Even when I took a break from it to try out other foundations, I ended up coming back to it and remembered how much I loved it. There are a ton of shades in cool, warm, and neutral undertones which is super helpful!
Heather Pooley that was my holy grail before I went cruelty free. The shade w1 was perfect most of the year. I only needed to add a touch of white in winter. It had good staying power too.
I have! Shade N1 was closest for me, although still a touch dark, but I’ve heard they’re releasing new N0, C0, & W0 shades!!! So I’ll be trying my best to source these from the US to review :)
Arna Alayne That sounds perfect! I love W1, but when I’m at my fairest, it can sometimes be a little dark if you look closely. On the website I see they recently added a 0.5. Is there going to be one even lighter than that? And do you happen to know when it will release?
I dont care for a pump! I like the tubes because you can get every little bit. And even a bottle can be turned upside down to get every drop. I feel like there is so much waste with a pump!
Hi gorgeous! I never miss any of your videos, your channel has become one of my faves this year! I was wondering what are your thoughts on the mac studio finish concealer since i own the same shade your featured on this video against the nars soft matte complete concealer in chantily? Which one its paler and what consistency you prefer? I already own the radiant creamy concealer and my perfect match is nars sheer glow in siberia. Loveee your channel never stop posting😘😘😘
I like both formulas and the colours are very comparable actually!! They’re very similar haha not sure if that’s helpful! I’ll likely expand my thoughts in a video soon x
Weird my packaging isn’t the least bit messy but I am obsessive about that and I actually much prefer the packaging over the glass bottle with no pump. I use spf but feel more secure with spf in my foundations even if it’s just psychological. Also this foundation isn’t really dewy on me at all. And I do major skin prep at all times because I go for the namvo look
This is my summer shade. I love the formula so sometimes I use my super pale Physicians Formula mineral wear powder - I prefer it to using lightening drops. Mine creases a little bit too. I have actually mixed this with the pro matte version if I want to wear it without powder
I was thinking of questions I had, but as you went on, you answered most of my questions, which is a sign of a very thorough video! I got the hourglass primer and foundation and love the combination. I put them on one night when I couldn't sleep (how to pass time with insomnia-makeup!). I eventually fell asleep for about 7 hours and woke up with perfect makeup. Since the hourglass stick foundation wears so well, do you ever mix the shade you have that's too light with a liquid foundation that's too dark? I wonder how it would affect the wear of them both. I'm kinda new to mixing foundations so I wonder how you choose which to mix. Maybe you could do a video about this? By the time you read this, it'll be Sunday for you. I hope you and Alex have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
I love this foundation so much, but I also have to lighten it. Thank you for another great video. Also I'm so going to by the Hourglass primer. You make it sound amazing and I need it in my life. 💖💖💖
Hi Arna, just thought I'd let you know that the Loreal Infallible Pro Matte and Loreal True Match are both expanding their shade ranges here in the States to include a lighter shade, so the Pro Glow may get expanded too :)
I love how u put so much thought and detail into ur reviews...I feel like u give a really accurate test of everything u show so we know exactly how it goes. I wish drugstore retailers would just all launch tone correcting mixers..whites, darkeners and yellow and red and blue tone adjusters so consumers can mix according to their skin depth and undertone. That's why when I wear pro makeup for 'important' stuff, I use only RCMA bc u control everything. Consumers r way more savvy these days and retailers need to understand we know our undertones and what looks best, and most of us are 'mixologists' with our foundations😂
Just wanted to comment to thank you. I had contemplated buying this even though it’s too dark on me but your mention of the inclusion of multiple alcohols and talc had me going “ehh your sensitivity and dryness are NOT going to enjoy that”. It also so exciting to have a pale Aussie (based at least, I know you’re a kiwi) RUclipsr. The main difference between our skin is I’m dry and sensitive. I just wanted to let you know about a product - australis match maker shade adjusting drops. I have the lightening ones but they also make a dark one which would hopefully be an option for deep skin tones (though I haven’t tried them obviously). They seem similar to the Mecca ones you use, they have very slight pink cast to them and a full 18ml was $25? (I can’t remember exactly. I bought them from Priceline when they had 50% off). Since you get so much use out of the Mecca ones I guess I’m interested to know if the Australis ones are comparable. Also obviously for us broke aussies it’s also nice to have a cheaper option. Thank you for these videos. I really appreciate it.
I already own those drops and yes I think they’re great! I like that I can mix the Mecca ones into the their Lifeproof foundation and it doesn’t change the texture much but the Australis ones are better value!
Thank you for this review! I’m the same shade as you in the Lancôme Teint idole and I’ve been wondering about this foundation so I’m glad to know now that it will not match my pale self 😂
Thanks for review Arna. It is pretty much comprehensive. I think your reviews become better and better. Could you, please, compare/rate your cushions? I am interested of YSL, Loreal and Laneige, if it's possible. Also I bought Too Faced and Hourglass primers and they definitely became the best primers for me.
YSL is my favourite formula, although the colour B10 is a bit dark (can just get away with it because it’s so sheer). Laneige in 11C would be the best for colour and it’s a great formula too! I also liked the Maybelline one but again the colour wasn’t perfect!
Thanks! Laneige is a little bit dark for me now, so probably, I do not need YSL... And could you also compare shade of Estee Lauder Nude Foundation with Laneige 11C, please? It is darker, right?
it'd be cool if you could check out the new concealer from rituel de fille, they have a suuuuper pale shade (and a really really dark one too it's fab)
Love your videos for fair skin products! If you ever get a chance I would love to see a review for the new shade "Swan" in the too faced peach perfect foundation. I love the formula but even Snow is too dark/yellow for me!
Caitlin Hutchinson Your thinking about the Born This Way foundation not the Sweet Peach Perfect foundation Mecca doesn't even have the Peach Perfect line.
Thank you for the suggestion! I actually bought that after being told this before but I wouldn’t call it a dupe. It’s a very different texture and performance! Hourglass is worth it 100%!
You mentioned this has a lot of silicones in it. Is there a foundation your recommend that has less of those? Since switching to Drunk Elephant, I’m really trying to find a better foundation with their skincare.
If anyone down here in the comments has used this foundation and shade before and thinks it’s a perfect match for you, can you throw out some other foundations and shades you love using? I’m combo skin and can usually make a variety of foundation types work! This lightest shade in this infallible line is my go-to perfect match at the moment 🤗
I wish drugstore brands would get it together and expand their shade ranges to include very fair and very deep shades. I wish this was more fair, so it will be a pass, but thank you for saving me a trip to the drugstore. I hope you feel better soon!
I just want to say that your channel is my favorite RUclips channel! Your reviews are amazing and I love your tutorials. Your dedication to film while sick is appreciated, but please get well soon. . Thank you so much for creating amazing content!
That foundation as a beautiful finish but i toi can wear it 201 us way too pink and starts light and turns dark trough the day , 202 is way dark but has a better undertone for me . I usually mix it with any of my lighter foundations and a matter one .
I'm hoping I just didn't hear correctly...but, did you say the shade name of the second last swatch on your arm (I think you said the brand was Eden Minerals?) was called "urine"?😮
I'm surprised there's so much alcohol in the pro-glow one. I didn't have an issue with alcohols in this one. but the pro-matte stung my skin a bit and it felt like it had alcohol in it to me.
Would you be willing to do a review on the Smashbox Always on Liquid Lipstcks? I’m really interested in trying them, but I don’t know what shade to wear. I definitely want a nude, though. I’m curious about the Kat von D ones, but I don’t think they have a shade to suit me. (I’m 00 Alabaster in Bobbi Brown, if that helps at all.) Oh, and if you ever smell a scent in a product that has no listed fragrance, it is what is called masking fragrance. They don’t have to list it in the ingredients. I’m allergic to all fragrance, so I have the worst time finding Cosmetics that don’t contain it. Bobbi Brown has a lot of products that are totally free of fragrance, which is why I started wearing her makeup. Anyway, I hope that was interesting for you! Have a great weekend! Oh, and I was wondering if you have any albums out. You mentioned recording, so I wondered. I’d love to hear your performances!!
That rimmel 25 hour breathable looks really light with a yellow undertone, is that true? I’m always on the hunt for a drugstore shade on par with Nars Siberia. You said the rimmel shade was light ivory I think, do you happen to know the number as well? Thanks! So appreciate your foundation reviews.
I find it so helpful when you do videos like this as I have very fair skin and find it hard to get the right foundation.
It’s a pleasure x
Hi Arna. Just an idea for a video. Maybe you could do a video about matching foundations to primers. I know a lot of people struggle with it. Catriona Kerr I love this idea!
I’m actually working on this video :) stay tuned!
Arna Alayne great minds, haha.
Please, please do this!

Yes I’m keen to try and hunt down backups of that Primer haha
Natalie Valentina I knooow! It’s the same with the Maybelline Fit Me, the lightest Matte shade is way lighter and more yellow than the lightest Dewy shade!

I know they're expanding the range of the true match and I believe the pro matte foundation, so hopefully they do the same with the pro glow!

Haha yes NARS is a particularly bad offender!
So glad you enjoyed experimenting with and reviewing our product ❤️
Thanks Team!! ❤️❤️
I think this foundation looks awesone on your skin! The glow is very beautiful, not looks like oily or something like that
I am trying to find the best foundation for my older dry skin and this video was so helpful. My skin is fair also. Thanks so much, I will be waiting for more.

Nice!! Good to know about the pro Matte :)
Same here hahaja. That kind of pink gives me the "roasted shrimp" look 🤣
Violet Grass 😂
Looks beautiful on you ❤️ they really do need more shades! Classic ivory is a good match for me
Hope you're feeling better!!! Thanks for another very thorough review!

sweetem1979 Thank you! I always have it in my hand and then put it back. I don't think my skin will like it bc it's very thick.
Arna Alayne So I'm in my bathroom testing out the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless 102 and wanted to update you. I think I may be a bit too pink for this one but I could make it work. Still blows my mind how expensive our Aussie chemist makeup is compared to elsewhere.
Absolutely! Although, our cost of living vs wages makes it fair (at least compared to USA)
You put soooo much work into your videos! It just blows me away.
😘😘😘 thank you for noticing x
Just happened to purchase this today so I'm excited to see your review! I like it so far.
I have always wondered about this one! I’ve avoided it because before cutting dairy out of my diet I had terrible rosacea and was told not to put alcohol on my skin ever. My rosacea is completely cured, so now I’m curious to try. 🤔
It certainly doesn’t feel dry on my skin but since it’s drugstore, it might be worth a go!
You poor thing! Hope you are all better soon! I’m so glad you did this review.. I’d love to see a video from you all about eyeliners.. like how to apply top eyeliner and not screw it up haha. Love your channel!

Arna Alayne L'oreal is releasing N0, C0 and W0?? I've never tried those foundations bc I knew N1/C1 would be too dark.
#notificationsquad I love your videos! And I really appreciate a review on this product! I've been thinking of purchasing it! Lol
Woohoo!! Thanks for watching xx
Arna Alayne you're so welcome! 💕❤
I dont care for a pump! I like the tubes because you can get every little bit. And even a bottle can be turned upside down to get every drop. I feel like there is so much waste with a pump!
Exactly..unless the pump is just a screw on top that can be opened and removed when you need to get to that little last bit lol

I love this foundation so much, but I also have to lighten it. Thank you for another great video. Also I'm so going to by the Hourglass primer. You make it sound amazing and I need it in my life. 💖💖💖
It’s amazing!! They have a mini size available which can be a great choice to see if you like it first :)
Hi Arna, just thought I'd let you know that the Loreal Infallible Pro Matte and Loreal True Match are both expanding their shade ranges here in the States to include a lighter shade, so the Pro Glow may get expanded too :)

Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SpF 30 Mineral Gel Cream x
Just wanted to comment to thank you. Thank you for this review! I’m the same shade as you in the Lancôme Teint idole and I’ve been wondering about this foundation so I’m glad to know now that it will not match my pale self 😂
You look so good with short hair!
Thank you!
Terrific review thank you so much. I will definitely give this foundation a try.x
I love that you have rings on ring- and middlefinger. What's look very beautiful
Thank you!!
Yay! You got your hands on the Physicians Formula Shimmer Brick. What do you think?
So far, so good :) will expand my thoughts in a video soon x
I am nearing the end of my tube, which is saying a lot! I very rarely finish a foundation!
Haha well done!! I’m the same because I review so many I barely ever finish one haha
Your hair is looking gorgeous! I love the foundation but it's so expensive!!!!
Cheaper than high end 👏🏻
Arna Alayne so true, I guess wait until sale as well and it will be a steal 🖒❤
I purchased mine 40% off and think it is 40% off in priceline at the moment. You end up getting it for $16.77 :D
Love your videos for fair skin products! If you ever get a chance I would love to see a review for the new shade "Swan" in the too faced peach perfect foundation. I love the formula but even Snow is too dark/yellow for me!
I can’t get that in Australia :(
Arna Alayne Mecca has 'swan'!! I think it came out around the same time they released the new concealer shades x
Caitlin Hutchinson Your thinking about the Born This Way foundation not the Sweet Peach Perfect foundation Mecca doesn't even have the Peach Perfect line.
Arna Alayna They have it here in Canada I can send you swatches next time I hit Sephora.
Tammy St. Jean Sorry! My mistake
I love this foundation but the lightest shade pulls really pink on me, like blush almost 🙃
The NYx angel veil primer is a good dupe for the hourglass primer
Thank you for the suggestion! I actually bought that after being told this before but I wouldn’t call it a dupe. It’s a very different texture and performance! Hourglass is worth it 100%!
You mentioned this has a lot of silicones in it. Is there a foundation your recommend that has less of those? Since switching to Drunk Elephant, I’m really trying to find a better foundation with their skincare.
Idun Minerals Nordic Veil :) I’ve done a review x
Arna Alayne thank you!
I'd love to see a "Lightest shade" on Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk.
Your makeup looks nice! Love the color of your eyes. I have dry skin
I think it looked really good on you!
Thank you!!
Whitening drops?? Where can i get them?
I wish drugstore brands would get it together and expand their shade ranges to include very fair and very deep shades. I wish this was more fair, so it will be a pass, but thank you for saving me a trip to the drugstore. I hope you feel better soon!
That’s why I’m here :) to save you money and a trip to the shops haha thank you!!
I just want to say that your channel is my favorite RUclips channel! Your reviews are amazing and I love your tutorials. Your dedication to film while sick is appreciated, but please get well soon. . Thank you so much for creating amazing content!
Where'd you the drops from? I couldn't catch what you said. Becca?
Apologies! They’re from Mecca (not yet released though! Any white mixer should work) xx
Please let us know what your eye makeup here is?? Gorgeous! Love from South Africa!
Haha it’s Jorunn pronounced like yorunn x
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new Cover Fx powerplay foundation!
it's currently in my rotation and a review will be coming this month x
I'm surprised there's so much alcohol in the pro-glow one. I didn't have an issue with alcohols in this one. but the pro-matte stung my skin a bit and it felt like it had alcohol in it to me.
I was surprised too!!
Ah good to know! I’m not sure I’ll be able to try those out, but I’ll keep them on my radar :) thank you for the suggestion x
In Australia it’s only available online at Chemist Warehouse, and it’s 001 Light Ivory :)
Thank you!! But....I’m in the US and I have a bad feeling we don’t have that shade. 😿
Time to go on an international foundation hunt!
In the US the lightest shade is 081..its quite light compared to all the other drugstore foundations I own!
I love this foundation😘
I have shade 203 nude beige 👍 pro glow too
what is the liquid lighter you used called?
They’re not available yet x
Looks perfect
Hey - what is your fave drugstore foundation that covers well (freckles for me!) xx
Try the Maybelline Superstay (full coverage) in 102 or even the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless (medium buildable) x
I think I'll pass on this one. Thanks so much! 💕
Glad I can help x
You are so elegant 😍😍💋
how i wish you can fix your lighting a little bit. its too light..:( i love watching your videos but i cant see the proper color..
It’s natural lighting - can’t be fixed
