Simple way : 1.Go to contact and the settings. Choose export to internal storage. (The contacts get saves in My Files>Internal Storage) 2.Send the the saved contact file through bluetooth. 3.The option of import contacts automatically comes in the other device.

Finally a video that works (for me) I passed all of my Contacts from my Old phone onto my new phone and im glad of my self bcuz all the other vids were of *Download this App and do this* I did all those steps and nothing happend now this works thank you so much
@Acinore Samoh when i create a new contact, i get 3 options, save in sim, phone or gmail, i think contacts need to be saved in gmail in order to get synced

Will this work if you've already taken your old S6 phone's SIM card and used it in the new Samsung A8? Android beam doesn't work and even with Bluetooth and 'make my device visible,' the phones do not 'see' each other.
My phone refused to upload my contacts to gmail. Instead I had to export my contacts to file, copy them to a PC, copy them to the new phone then import. Worked perfectly for me. Edit: This didn't copy over the SMS and call history, to do that I had to use "SMS Backup & Restore"
How do you transfer your old phone data and apps WITHOUT any party jumping in the mix??? Like pier to pier, simple device to device with Android OS reading data from the other android OS?

Didn't work for me, but then I watched another video and it said you have to go into the Contacts of your old phone, hit settings, then find a way to export (Mine specifically said to Google), THEN it worked but ONLY for Device contacts, not SIM Card contacts... so I'm still missing a majority of contacts -_-
Or you can download what they call the "Smart Switch" app on both the new and old devices. Transfers contacts, including app data, pictures, other files.
On my galaxy ace3 the option to turn on sync is not available just refreshes sync now for a few seconds then no change also signing in on the pc it says i have 0 contacts yet. please help
How can I transfer contacts if my screen is going bad to the point that it keeps turning on and off every second. It doesn't stay on long enough for me to start the app to backup the contacts to a file or even enable the USB connection in the Settings.

No, your phone doesn't automatically do that already. I have always had my phone set to sync and back up on google/gmail. Google is only showing 40 of my contacts. There are over 80 on my phone.

Thanks for the righteous tip. I searched this on a whim before entering each contact manually into my new phone.
Simple way :

Nice Video, You should mention that contacts need to be transfered from SIM to google, or phone to google in order to have all contacts synched to it
