Remarkable achievement :) 90 KM/H uff .!! I was on the tip of my seat when he rode between the shortest distance of the pole at the highspeed .! Quite a thrilling ride....!
If they could just set up servo motors to control the placement of the radial rods while in motion, (and engineer it with redundancy to not be able to make unintended adjustments) this set up could be ideal.
And the award for the biggest balls of steel go to... Pneumatics give you more of a sense of stability. I ride 8" MBS T3 tires on my evolve carbon gt with a 56t drive gear. Top end always has me wanting me more..but not this much. Whats the battery setup up? 12s12p? lol
2wd? Its literally exactly what I'm currently building. Won't be geared like that to begin with, but everything else I ordered over the last couple months. Would love to hear more about your build!
I can do 47 km on my DIY Skateboard, but it frightens the crap out of me. I can’t imagine doing 89 km/h. @ 47km/h I get nervous and tone down to 35 km/h max. Thank you for the video
I'll go 45-50 if I'm on a nice piece of road...probably been up to 60 before but no speedometer so can't tell...recorded myself with the app at 50 once though right when I bought the board so I kind of know what it feels like. I'd say the most important thing is having a board that is designed around those speeds. On my evolve gtx bamboo I hit 47 going downhill once, and when it came time to brake (so jank braking at high speeds) fucker felt like it was gunna throw me. Didn't (thank god) but also, those 97mm wheels don't handle shitty roads too well. On my lacroix (which I ride now) the braking is much, much smoother at high speeds, the wheels are 8" pneumatic, the deck is wide and stable, the trucks are beefy as all hell...it's not so scary. Still, I am working on getting better gear. I think once you are going above 45k, it's probably wise to invest in a full face helmet.
So I gotta ask...ever bail while you were at top speed? Or are you experienced enough and reserve fastboi mode for more controlled conditions to where it hasn't happened?
If the antenna condition is bad, immediately Superman You will fly between the air and the asphalt surface. without restraint Even if transmission and reception are cut off for a while, the body flies away. If the pull is large, a strong torque is applied. In conclusion, a momentary loss of reception between the remote control and the board puts a strong resistance on the motor. Your body flies off the board. Binding helps with small torques, but binding doesn't help with large torques. There is a greater risk of injury. But without binding, more accidents happen.
I call bullshit on everything you've said. Half binding on the front foot are not only safer to ride with but also are easy to fall out of and cause no real damage to you. Not only that but the remote being used is being used still today by the fastest riders there are with zero issues for years now. Stop talking shit until you can keep up.
After doing my research, I honestly think that more average riders could learn to ride this fast with reasonable safety and on real roads. You can almost entirely prevent wobbles by using steering dampers, and really large and thick wheels (like lacroix 8" wheels or bigger) would prevent gravel and small potholes from doing their worst while also having enough angular momentum to add some degree of stability. Now all you have to do is not run into others on the road, slow for corners, and push your limits upward very slowly. And also have about $5k to spend on it.
@@andrewwock6968to get stability on Esk8s we only need to apply sports car geometry. The current biggest problem in electric skateboards IMO is the application of All Wheel Steering from trick park boards with symmetrical trucks; this works great for reversing direction without penalty and is stable enough at lower speeds, all in a simple lightweight design. However it’s horrible for high speed stability. Therefore we need all our steering from the front and our stability from the rear. My solution was to use waterborne surf adapters with a major arc truck in front while the rear truck is flipped and mounted on the rail adapter. This creates a negative turn while carving and cornering, but because the front is so agile it still has plenty of turning ability and doesn’t just crab sideways. It basically autocorrects under conditions that would otherwise create a wobble. I have a quick vid on my channel talking about this set-up
