Resident Evil 2 on Board Game Geek: www.boardgamegeek.com/boardga... Игры
i was so excited.
i only just finished the RE2 remake and saw the board game in store.
Great video! Thanks for your time and upload.
Wow this is the perfect how to play for Re2 boardgame, thank you!
Great video!! Unfortunately at around 38:47 you make an error. When spawning enemies from the encounter table or tension deck, those enemies will never spawn in the same square as the character unless it is specifically stated on the encounter table, it is specifically stated on the tension deck card, or the character is in a room that contains only 1 biohazard symbol and they are unlucky enough to be standing on it. So in the encounter phase at this time, both zombies would have spawned on the biohazard symbol on the other end of the room. This is stated at the bottom left of page 16 in the rulebook. Again, great video though and I really enjoyed it!
Astros287 can you tell me what the red attack dice are for if your mainly using the blue ones?
@@lunars0l The red dice will be used for more powerful weapons that you can obtain later in the game like the magnum and submachine gun. Hope this helps! :)
@Astros287 thanks for the info! 😁
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow lost the login password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Izaiah Johnny Instablaster ;)
Oh man they really phoned in the dungeon tiles. After being stung by Dark Souls I'll probably give this a miss, or buy it cheap to paint the minis
Ver good Explanation!
Thank you very much. We have different rules in french (that's strange) and it was more clear to use the original rules.
It’s poorly written in English aswell he just explains it better watch this and the videos by the company who made it to actually understand
i just got this game used and thought i lost the back pack piece, after watching your vid its on the back of ink ribbon. i was searching for awhile for it under everything lol. ty!
Thank you so much
the awesome door sound that no one noticed....
Thank you
So for my copy (I just recently bought it) I noticed I don't have anything to put the ammo counters together. All I have are these plastic arrows that are attached to a smaller plastic hoop. Is there anything I'm missing or do I use the plastic arrow things?
did u ever figure it out because I have the same issue?
Game looks great, besides those tiles. Yikes. But I really like your coverage of the game
Tom Rankin yeah, the tiles and tokens are very dark and cheap. Very problematic. I had to buy the 3D-printed door and item packs just so I could tell where things were and if a door was open or shut.
What are you using for the ammo wheels to keep them in place? My game didn’t come with those black things you have in the center 😮
34:41 question, if you shoot and miss and they’re 2 or 3 squares away would you still take damage since the zombie isn’t in range to hit you?
Question. I noticed the item box you was talking about and had a question on it. When you put something in the item box, leave it in there and beat that scenario do them item transfer to the next one or do you lose the item in the box?
You need to carry items out of a mission to keep them
Can I ask one question. If I make a move and I pass my enemy through the same square while making let’s say 3 moves am I getting attacked when passing the enemy on the same square ?
If Leon and Claire are both standing on the tile with the item box (so their tile is full), are they immune against zombie attacks then? Cause zombie has attack range zero, but can not enter their tile.
Sorry, I mean square not tile
dont if u have ur answer but since the box is an large base then yes both of them r safe from zombies since zombies need to be on the same sqaure to attack with the basic attack.
@@ChrisSantino That's actually kinda like the game. All "safe rooms" with boxes were.. well safe :D
@@Ne0ne You can still be attacked by enemies with 1 or more range tho.
@@RandoLePerson a range 0 enemy would not be able to attack 2 characters with an item box.. although try not to waste too much time knife fighting zombies as the tension deck will still run down..
I know this is late and I hope you respond. I recently picked this up and I have a question about basic attack checks when trying to move through an enemy square. So we just got to the first licker and it has an attack range of 1. Do you have to check when youre moving within range or only if youre on the licker's square?
I do believe its when you in range, so on the tile or the one tile infront that he can move onto
When moving, you need an evade roll if you leave an enemies square., any range would only apply to modifiers
Im missing the lins, instead got arrow dials
Shouldn't Marvin have been a better choice than Kendo?
Can you explain me how the item Deck is place ?
I.E: in the scenario 1 you have 2 place you can put item deck A do you split the deck in 2 and place 1 item on Marker A(1) and 2 items on Marker A(2) ?
You would pick up either an A or B (side) of the token and draw from that deck
So can you only use weapons that your character is Proficient with that is listed on the card so for an example Leon cant use a grenade launcher or a rocket launcher because it’s not listed on his card?
How does the game scale?
To anyone who owns the game videos from SF showed cards that would add to the boss’s deck when you damaged him you’d shuffle said weak card into the boss deck. Is this still in the final game or did they scrap the idea? My game has no such cards.
Please any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
I’m sure there is a boss that gets weaker towards the end 🤔 birkin 1 maybe?
@Ready Steady Play or guys please help me.
So many questions and sometime so confusing when I see other playing this game so please can you answer at my important questions :
1) Are you sure 100% that attacking with the KNIFE is consedering as making noise and so making reaction for the ennemies ? I mean the knife is already really poor since you have 1/6 luck to get the hit so it would be really obvious that also it would make react the ennemies... Better get rid of this Knife (like I always did in the real game to free 1 space actually)
2) At 30.40 when you say the zombie will be busy to eat Leon, does it mean that after attacking with Claire at the reaction you must roll the evasion dices for Leon been attacked or not ? Or it just means that this zombie in Leon case will not react at Claire's attack and just stay in the same case as Leon ?
3) At 35.15. Why at Leon's end turn the zombies don't react and just go both toward Leon ? The rules says clearly that every ennemies will react at the end of the active player which is not the case here since it's not Claire but Leon's end turn, even if the ennemies are in the same case as Claire that is not clear for me and when i watched other players they clearly always make react the ennemies even if there are in a other player case...
4) About the tension deck, when is exactly the game ends for the player ? At the end of the turn when you can't draw a tension card or only when you draw the last card ? Here also for me logically is when you can't draw a tension card. That means that you can finish the game at your really last round before drawing no tension card.
If the weapon doesn’t make noise the zombie will., the knife probably scratch led bone..
The knife if 50/50 to hit., the objective is to survive, weapons are just a means to move them out of the way..
Reactions during a players actions are only ever movement, unless they are on the same square as the active player..
In the reaction phase the Leon’s zombie will attack him if Claire is on a same or linked tile..
At the end of Leon’s turn they are already with a character and so do not move towards the active player…
Enemies move towards closest with active player breaking ties..
Game ends when there isn’t a tension card to draw..
So the rules don't change if the number of players change? So for example there is nothing changed (enemies, etc) in a given scenario regardless of whether we have two players or four?
Nope doesn't change but the catch is you'll be opening up more of the board in 2p and thus you'll be more likely to run into monsters which will move before you can.
You also may pick up items others need and have to find a way to catch up with them
You will be drawing the tension deck faster..
I was looking forward for this game, but those tiles is a real turn off for me. And the game production quality is in range of 40-50$ games. That is my opinion so far.
Will you do res3 board game?
Is it just the lighting in the video or are the map tiles and doors that dark, making them hard to see
I have seen several unboxings, and a few people have mentioned that the tiles, and in one unboxing, the tokens were almost illegible. Pity, game itself seems playable.
Played last night. Yes. The tiles are extremely dark. The detail is completely unnoticeable and is a real blunder on the part of the makers.
I think when you produce a game, you should take in consideration the production quality of the game itself, when putting the price. This tiles for me ruins the whole experience of playing the game.
Will I played this about a week ago and immediately bought the door and item packs on Amazon because they are so difficult to see! I might even have to make some custom walls that aren’t so chinsy so players can see those too...
I'm new to the game. They are dark and it's a little annoying, but it definitely doesn't deter me from playing and being excited about it - so it's about perspective.
Does poison damage occur at every players tension phase?
Yes, any tension card by any player.. (bit late I know)
If you fail to dodge three zombies on your tile, will they each cause you one damage? So a total of three damage?
If the three dogs are on the same square, only one attacks since you only throw once the dice (with the proper values substracted, -1 to evade per enemy on the same square). If this happens with enemies with different level threats, the one with the highest performs the attack.
Only 1 enemy with the highest threat level attacks you.. the extra enemies just increase the difficulty needed to pass
In an "attack" action phase, if you roll 2 dices with 1 hit face, does it count as a 2 hit wich result 1 hit dammage for a handgun?
Hi Dominique, thanks for watching! Unfortunately you can't sum the results of the two dice, so the outcome of two dice each showing a single hit result during an attack with the pistol would be two pushback results. You can move the enemy two spaces away! Good luck!
- Mike
@@ReadySteadyPlay thk you very much. Your answer is clear to understand. In an other topic, the game's box says that you can play 1-4 players but on the scenario's maps i saw only 2 characte's starting points. Does it mean it's 2 characters per location?
@@dominiquedrouin5839 with missions that require 2+ characters or games with 2+ players.. there just needs to be at least 1 character on each starting point.
@@MikeB-nn4nh so that means that if i decide to play with 3 more people, we can "spawn" 2 characters per location or 1 at a Location A and 3 other at Location B?
@@dominiquedrouin5839 yeah, exactly that.. there are a couple missions (iirc,) that the designer said were usually better to do a 3/1 split
can you push an enemy towards you then behind you to run past them?
Yes, as long as it is legal movement
Hmmm. If the zombies' attack range is zero, then if you and another player moves into a square with an Item Box, then the zombies wouldn't be able to attack you?
Ah I see so I've been given a duff version of the game I didnt get the little connectors to hold the dials together
And too add to it it's one I got bought for my birthday so I cant even email the provider and ask for the right parts
Can someone tell me what the red attack dice are for? Are they for a specific weapon or something?
I think they're only for certain weapons such as the Magnum and Collt S.A.A and some upgraded weapons
Slapstick Crazy you would be correct.
When do u use the red dice
Will comment again after watching but I actually backed out of backing the game because of how slow and I hate to say it but boring the combat system was. I know the games have never been the easiest and is constantly putting players through loops but the board game version seemed really difficult to get a few kills in without running out of ammo. Ammo for the vg was always a management thing more than health and the bg I feel amplified it making it harder to get successes. I hope they changed it or improved on it.
They did change it. It's still challenging but not nearly as difficult as before.
The game isn’t actually about combat., but Survival.. moving is more important than ridding the city of zombies.. weapons are merely a tool to get enemies out of the way..
A perfect game would be completing it with only killing bosses and no deaths 😉
Wish there was a Resident Evil board game where you could play as Wesker
Like a 1vsMany variant :O Wesker is the coolest 8)
- Mike
Some guy from Greece made a Resident evil campaign. Most of the enemies, character traits and weapons are the same though.
Look forward to the autumn then… Resident Evil: TBG on KS
*your tension deck time tag is wrong
O boy those tiles are terrible and extremely dark
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Bruuuuuuh I didn't get the little plastic bits that go in the dials in my box
Same. I got some odd arrow oval shapes but they don't really fit in a good way
I just play both character by myself lol
Im still waiting for dark souls wave 3, so i dont trust on steamforge :(
xxalgorinxx they were a lot better with RE2 you got everything in one delivery! Like you I’m still waiting for DS wave 3.
I am waiting for wave 3 as well. They fit it all in with this game which I love. However it was like Christmas randomly seeing I had a package from steamforge one day to see it was wave 2.
Nice review but I'll stick with the video game lol, Id'e just keep this set up as a collectors item but nothing beyond that
No Mr x?
In b files expansion.
can i play solo ?
Yes
Now RE3 please...
So if a zombie gets pushed it doesnt also move? Not sure how this translates to the video game. Zombies dont move backwards ever, simply get stalled if you hit but dont kill them
HOW DO YOU EVEN SEE ANYTHING!?
That play board is just a piece of black printed card board. Those tokens are just small cut outs with random white specks, such an amazing abstract art, worthy of Leonardo da Vinci!. And what the EFF are those "wall tokens"?! It's just part of the cut out sprue! ... talk about recycling and reduce footprints?
How do people get away with this lazy design? Do they even have a quality control?
The wall tokens and doors are just 😩…
Gameplay wise, it’s the grid lines that matter., any art is cosmetic..
