Does anybody know why during video playback I can hear the person at the front door but not mine? During live recording there is a two way conversation.
Hi Junior Tech ...thank you for your video it's helpful. I installed it already. But accidentally delete my account. So I have to start from the beginning again. But I dont know how to disable the alarm if I need to pull it out or charging it .
really like the xtu... but i want it to be able to be 1. hard wired to existing door chime and power 2. Good package detection..such as ufy 3. Ability to add wireless ringer tbat plug into houshold oulet... such as reolink 4. Sd card storage so no monthly fees xtu This will be a winner.. please xtu at least makeca hard wired one...most people with front doors have chime wires with power going to them...
I'll be getting one of these soon. One quick question though. I'm prepared to drill if I have to but like a lot of people, I'd rather not be drilling holes in my door or walls etc if I can avoid it, so what I wanted to ask you or anyone else who's bought it here is how secure are the provided sticky pads? I mean, I know you said they were strong and I'm sure they are but if someone were to give it an almighty pull, would it come off?
Mine lost the connection and will no allow me to connect to it again. I have done 20 plus resets and it still wont connect with my phone or pair with the internal bell
Did you have to do anything to the transformer? I got a regular deta doorbell and want to know if this the voltages actually match up. I think the XTU is 12V.
@@JuniorsTech so I live in London. I live on a busy A road. I'm aware of the motion sensor but will it still drain my battery alot? Some reason 2k doesn't come with a chime but the 1080p does so what's the difference with and without a chime?
so since i did this video, i fully charged the camera and ive usedit everyday, sill at above 50% charge. the only differnece is the chime, but your phone rings anyway when someone pressed the button. hope this helped
Hi ! Thank you for the well made review but I want to ask you a question considering you're in the UK. Could you please explain me the legal requirements for placing this devices around my house? Do I need a CCtv sticker ? Because one of my across the street neighbour said he will call the police on me due to privacy issues (he consider I'm not allowed to face it towards his house and a few times we had an argument about it) I've tried to explain him is just and only for my own security and especially to see if the delivery drivers leve my parcels accordingly. Thank you!
Great question…. So it is legal in the uk to have cctv in and around your home. If the camera is displaying passed your property line then that’s when the issue starts, cctv stickers should be placed around the area. If the cctv is recording passed your property line you then kinda become a data controller which is legal but comes with a few requirements. You must display cctv stickers. You must only keep recording for as long as needed (break ins or theft etc) keep the footage safe and secure as In your the only person to have access and just be sure the camera can’t be used in a malicious way. But if you do record something etc and the persons out side your boundary ask you to delete it or remove it then that’s when you’ll need to remove the footage Try and keep the camera on your property line and you’ll be fine
@@JuniorsTech Totally true and I agree but actually this doorbell cameras are actually are only recording 20 to 30 sec on motion activation so is not a cctv camera always recording. And the fact that between my door and the neighbour across street its about 60m (probably I don't know 4 sure) is nothing I can do about...
i have this camera on my front and back door and i have never had an issue with my neighbors because the door bell only records when the button is pressed or if someone is very close the the doorbell. im sure but dont quote me, im sure you can record up to 40ft but im not sure. you have every right to have a camera on your door it is legal in the UK. maybe different if it was private land then that may be a different story.
Is it me or does it seem like it takes a long time to access a recorded event on the sad card? I’m trying to like this thing but I’m disappointed so far. I just got mine 2 days ago. BTW, thanks for posting this video.
CAn you disable the alarm notification on your phone when someone rings the doorbell, BUT keep it on to alert you only for motion detection?

Is there a way to turn off the 'ding dong' sound that the external doorbell makes.
Excellent review, thanks
I have an XTU installed but the battery needs charging every 2 weeks. How can I open and replace the battery? Thanks

Great review!!!!!
Would you recommend buying this?
