I drove around Ireland. With some very Narrow roads - a semi-truck nearly killed me & I had no choice but to drive into a ditch. Not fun at all. Also, treacherous roads , high cliffs, and cold icy rain with no guardrails. Never again! I’m glad the charges were reduced for Broderick.
So I am guessing they broke up because Grey felt very conflicted as to why Broderick didn't own up to what he did more. Maybe she didn't want him to go to prison, but clearly more than just a "I'm sorry" and a fine too. Broderick sickens me to this day for that. I feel terrible for that poor family. If you read or listen to her book, he does not come across well at all. He was being very unsupportive of her work, had affairs, and comes across manipulative. The accident was the icing on the cake.

On narrow, country roads during icy rain it's probably best to drive on the correct side of the road.
