A perfect ending. I'm so happy everything came full circle exactly like I hoped, and each character had one last moment to shine as well. Funny thing is.. The one who fail with time machine is russia, while CERN already testing their time machine without makise time theory. (Even before they implement future gadget) I think its canon where time machine still being developed in all multiverse by CERN. But im still curious with mandella theory (legit need 10 minutes to remember the name without looking google)
Because you are so close to end the steins;gate saga, if you go watch the movie, when you are done i recommend the Steins;Gate Drama CD, A Posteriori Existence. some people dont even hear a single drama CD, but i think that this one is quite needed because is connected to the movie.
thats the world line where adult okabe fails to save kurisu and leaving a message to past himself so basically we can still think that it ended this way..at least thats how i wanna think lol

This anime is on my rewatch list every few months and this time I'm glad to share the experience together with you! I've been watching this hundreds of times in the last decade and still my favorite piece of fiction ever. I wish i could watch everything for the first time again 😢
Yes! Same! No matter how many times I rewatch it, it's still just as great and emotional as it was the first time. Steins;Gate is an unparalleled masterpiece. I didn't see any other anime, movie, book etc. with story AND character writing this good, while being as mysterious and emotional as this show is! I also wish that I could rewatch it without knowing anything about it again, just like the first time. Nothing could compare to that experience! (Sidenote to myself: Maybe there is a way I could brainwash myself that would allow me to forget only this bit of information, and nothing else, and then to reexperence it the first time again? 🤔 I'll have to look into it a bit more.) El. Psy. Congroo.
Oh, and another thing: I also have a few story ideas, both science fiction and fantasy, and I'm working on one right now. I'm 80% sure I won't be able to reach this level of greatness, especially in character writing. (And maybe how every little thing is important later, and how things are connected in the story.) Very few authors could reach it. But it still will be the etalon for me, and the end goal that I want to approach as close as I can.
Just in case there is a ova called "Steins;Gate Egoistic Poriomania" and then a movie "Steins;Gate: The Movie − Load Region of Déjà Vu" So after episode 24 goes the ova and then the movie and after that ep 23b and then Steins;Gate 0.
i bawled my eyes out when i watched this series years and years and years ago, the characters, the lab that they all shared and the music. such a good show
The okabe being stabbed scene is one of the few times the anime massively drops the ball in regards to the source material. Okabe is significantly more badass and intimidating in the visual novel. It still serves its purpose in the show, but man, if you've seen the og scene, it just doesn't hold a candle here.
Of course, but it is 24 episodes only. It can’t fit everything. The first SciADV entry, Chaos;Head, was completely butchered by having 12 Episodes. So I’m kind of glad Steins;Gate anime got what it deserved. I wish Chaos;Head anime was good too.
@@4ytherium 12 episodes wasn't the issue with the Chaos;Head anime, that is evidenced by the fact that Chaos;Child episode 0 is a better adaptation of Chaos;Head. The Chaos;Head adaptation was just bad, such that a single episode recap of it is unironically better. 12 episodes didn't help, but let's be honest if it was 24 they would have just added 11 episodes of filler.
Man, what a journey it has been. Saw Robin go full detective mode, then slowly loving everything about it. I knew it'd be the best pick. With the non-canon stuff, I would honestly watch it. Think of it as just another timeline. What makes it non-canon is how it retcons a few rules for the narrative stakes, which I'm fine with since I'm watching it separately anyway. I love this journey, can't wait for the pain that is steins;gate 0.
Killing the dad will definitely matter, it will change the past drastically so the future will be drifted to a different world line where maybe even worse cn happen to mayuri
