Love these videos. I was in Rome last October & going again in March. We loved the Tour Guys tours- we did private, early morning tour of the Vatican, The Colosseum, the day trip to Pompeii w/ lunch in Sorrento!
Angel, thank you so much for this video. Several years ago I lived in via Leonina, just around the corner from the Piazza della Madonna. I spent many afternoons and evenings just sitting on the steps of the fountain, taking in all the people and the sites. Monti is definitely my favorite quartiere in Rome, and I can't wait to get back there again.
I just love that you've focused on this neighborhood, which is not as well-known as it should be! Rome is full of fascinating enclaves well apart from the typical tourist sites. Your videos are so engaging and informative. Well done and grazie!
Thanks to you guys, we stayed in Trastevere the first 8 days we were in Rome and then on the way home from Venice and Florence, we stayed in Monti a few more days befor resting in back to California and we loved it! Thanks for the great tips! Also, go have a drink at the top of the hotel that overlooks the old Roman forum! The Forum Hotel I believe it’s called and beautiful! ❤
I just want to come and have lunch with you Angel … you make it all seem so magical! Thank you for all the great ideas on how to spend my time in Roma! I am scouring the places to stay per the recommendation listed ❤
Just subscribed. I've been watching a TON of RUclips videos in preparation for our first trip to Rome. We can't decide where we want to stay, Trastevere or Monti. After watching this video, I think it's going to be Monti!
BTW, the translation about Moses is a mistake in the translation from Hebrew. In Hebrew it says in that part about Moses that "קָרַן, עוֹר פָּנָיו", it means that his face shined, the word shine in Hebrew is similar to the word for "horn" and hence the mistake.
I searched for Vatican City tour and happened to watched one of Sean's video about it. Love the content and actually will book a tour using your site! I continued watched the other videos to get me prepared for the trip and the Neighborhood series is awesome! Love that it includes places you must visit as well as restaurants recommendation. I enjoyed the little tidbits. It's interesante! If it is Angel saying it, he would say it twice!
The Moses statue is my very favorite of Michelangelo’s work. I saw it 30 years ago and cried. I’m heading back to Rome later this year and I’m wondering if I’ll react the same.
Thanks for taking the time to share some feedback. Much appreciated. Can you tell me if you feel the same about this new video? Comment on this one. ruclips.net/video/dAEwIsY7q9o/видео.html
my god, your video is so informative and interesting. Do you offer private tour in vatican? we are travelling to Italy in August and will be in Rome from Aug 15-20.
How has covid affected Monti, particularly the retail? I was reading another article that Monti used to be very vibrant area before covid but most of the stores have shuttered since then. Did you feel much difference in Monti before and after covid?
Great comments thank you. Just like everywhere else, Monti was hit very hard by Covid. All the places featured in this video were around before Covid and luckily survived. Some shops did close but it’s the people that give this neighborhood it’s spirit. It’s retained the unique vibe because of the locals there. This isn’t the first pandemic Monti has endured.
@@TheTourGuyVids thanks! As you were walking around in this video, I noticed shuttered stores so was curious how well Monti had recovered from covid lockdowns. By the way I had my first trip to Rome last week! Didn't get a chance to visit Monti but walked around Via Corso, Via Condotti, Trevi fountain, Prati and Via Del Balbuino (you know, the main shopping spots). I did notice some shuttered stores here and there but thankfully enough were open so there were not too noticeable. Besides, it was August and I know many locals close businesses for vacations.
Well, well, well well. Let us know Monti, if you ever need a helping hand in an awkward situation. We'll see if we can't get you out of a thistle mill next time, right?
Too much food. Restaurants, cafes, more restaurants, more cafes. I prefer to explore Rome hungry or semi-hungry. Also, most if not all Italian cafes and restaurants that look good are good.

Good question. We only comment on places we stay at or have personally visited.

Hi bro, when and how often does Rome get this kind of weather? It seems chilly but with very good amount of sun light.
Roman blue skies are amazing. This was shot late April.

Yeah I don't want to make that place too popular since I'm always there. Hint: it's listed on the map in the scene before 😉
