I learnt to play Scopa outside of Bar San Calisto! What a place. Great content as always.
Trastevere is my jam.
Ppp
The Trastevere Food Tour was a highlight of our time in Rome !
I’m so glad we got to spend some time together. It was so fantastic to have friends from home join in on the fun.
I absolutely love your videos. 🙏,
Thanks for your kindness Alice!
Just came back from there. Stayed in Trastevere a few days before boarding cruise ship. We were also there five days back in 2019. Loved Trastevere then, that's why we wanted to return to it. Will definitely go back. Thank you for the tour.
It's nice to find such a cool place.
watching this vid whilst eating my breakfast, now somehow ended up craving a glass of wine and plate of amatriciana as a side dish :P
I don't think there is anything wrong with that LOL
Awesome video! Keep on crushing it!
Like a grape my dude!!
oh man, the food looks amazing!!
It tastes even better!
It was so nice meeting you today, Angelo!
Thanks for the videos, they made our time in Rome that much better. P.S I also watched the Milan video and went to have coffee at Cova Montenapoleone - al banco of course... 💕🥂
Love from Kenya!!

This is like my favorite place to visit ❤.
We love it too
great vid!
Much appreciated
Ahh! Now I’m double excited for my trip in April! ❤
Let the countdown begin!!! What are your plans?
@@TheTourGuyVids HA Actually I have 2 tours already lined up with you guys. The Colosseum and Vatican. Then a few days of just exploring.
@@MicahMann nice. That sounds good. Check out the other videos on Rome if you liked this one.
This makes me miss it soo! Delicious!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Ahh I'll be there for a week in early December! Thanks for making this video, I can't wait to explore and make the most of my solo trip
Cool. See you in December. Which tour are you taking?
@@TheTourGuyVids Thanks! :) I haven't looked at any tours, I should XD
Headed there in Feb with my 8 y.o., Great video We are def doing a food tour.
That’s great. Happy travels.
I'm coming there in 20 days ❤
Nice! What are your plans?
@TheTourGuyVids visit as many places as I can and Try Italian cuisine .. it's my dream come true to visit the big fountain you make wishes ✨️
Great video. What food tours are the best?
This is the one I took in the episode theromanguy.com/tours/italy/rome/trastevere-food-tour
Going to Rome in April of 24 and I'm torn between three full days or four full days in Rome. I just don't want to miss out on anything ... I swear if I could marry this man I would lol🤣
If you've never been to Rome, do four. You could easily spend one day just doing food in Testaccio and Trastevere, and you'll feel like a local!
@@GaryKarr ty
Four is better than three
Definitely 4 nights, going to be there at the same time!
We spent 4 days in Trastevere in 2021. We could go back and never cross the river and have an amazing time
WOW. So cool. What did we miss in this episode that you would add.
@@TheTourGuyVids let's see... We loved the pop up farmers markets, and most of all just the feeling of being in a neighborhood. People live here, and nothing beats getting some suppli for 2€ and hanging out on the steps of the fountain soaking in the vibe. I could live on street food and never miss a sit down restaurant. We found incredibly affordable restaurants that the locals go to, and the owners didn't speak any English, but had amazing food. (Gusteria Al 17 Roma)
@@TheTourGuyVidsby the way, we didn't even plan on staying there, got thrown there due to a problem at another hotel, and it wound up being the highlight of our trip. I covered it in a video called "trastevere, a blessing in disguise" on our channel, escaping the empty nest
@@frednich9603 as a broke college kid that's all we.could.afford 😂🤣
Thanks so ,much! We will be in Trastavere in 2 weeks. What is the name of the shop where you were eating the gelato??
It’s the last stop on the food tour. Book the food tour and you will stop there
Well, ok. I get it. You want to sell tours. I didn't think it would be a problem to ask for the name of the gelato shop since you provided the names of your other favorite places to eat. Disappointed. It seems to me that you gave a wise-guy answer to my question. I hope I'm wrong about that.
If im not wrong, it is Fonte della Salute :)@@carolc8250
Please do Prati
Any suggestions on what to cover in Prati?
Mercato Trionfale would be great@@TheTourGuyVids
Church of St Mary of the Rosary, church of St Joseph, two great markets, Hostaria Dino e Tony, Locanda Meloni, Sciascia cafe 1919, Ristorante Porto, Bakery M, Gianfornaio, shopping in Via Cola di Rienzo, @@TheTourGuyVids
Is there are strike in rome on 29th sept 2023?
There is one planned for that day
What are the most affordable places to stay ?
Here is a good list of accommodations in Rome: theromanguy.com/italy-travel-blog/rome/where-to-stay-in-rome-this-year/
There is a trapizono in New York! just as good as in Rome
Yes I went there for a coffee on my way to Russ & Daughtters. ASA Roman at heart, I couldn't bring myself to try one 🤣😂
So I booked the Rome Trastevere food tour from your website. Are these exact stops? Just asking to get an idea…
The first two stops and dinner are definitely part of the tour
@@TheTourGuyVids wow. I am eagerly looking forward to it!
campo de fiori is not in trastevere...
Didn’t say it was.
A Graffiti Shithole with great food
Who hurt you? 😂🤣
You are reallymisleading your viewers, because Campo dei Fiori and Filetti di Baccala are NOT in Trastevere, they're both just across the Tiber in Centro, as you should know.
Misleading? It’s okay to have adjacent sites to Trastevere in this episode. Especially to begin or end a tour and show as a point of reference to Trastevere.
All I know is that if you plug in the address of Filetti di Baccala (Largo dei Librari 88 Roma) into Google Maps, and then seek directions to Basilica Santa Maria di Trastevere, the walking map will indicate it is about a half mile walk of an easy eleven (11) minutes, ACROSS Ponte Sisto (above the Tiber River) as described in the video with a title "Ultimate Guide to Trastevere." Just tell the viewers what is not in Trastevere, please.
We did with a map and you seemed to have figured it out. It’s okay to have some snacks on the way back to Trastevere. The Trastevere border patrol will not mind.
Irritating background noise is uncalled for 😊
What background noise? Where?
Audio is fine
@@user-uv8hp4jh7k then what are you talking about background noise?
@@TheTourGuyVidsThat’s not me lol
@@user-uv8hp4jh7k Hahaha you got caught in the crossfire. 🤣🤣
So, mostly this is great but the "food tour" interval is a gross tourist intrusion upon life in Rome. Loved the church introductions and the dinners towards the end, but the food tour? First of all, the first two stops, while very good, are not Trastevere. And, please, "have a shot and be on your merry way" is the antithesis of Roman life. If you're doing that, you're still in the US or UK and not in Italy. When you come to Rome, fit into the Roman rhythm, like the first and last parts of the video, and stay away from the food tours.
Food tours are a great way for visitors learn about local food, learn what to order, taste a variety of dishes and have some fun. They are popular and successful for a reason. We totally stand by food tours, especially ours! And how is taking a shot any different than taking a shot of espresso at the bar and leaving?
atleast write the names of the restaurants on the screen that yo uare saying,. Very hard to understand by your voice what is the name of the restaurants. Not even in the description I see any list,. Why do you create such videos.
If spelling them out on screen, maps or standing in front of the signs of the restaurants is not clear enough for you, then pls check the link in the description for the blog article listing these restaurants.
Definitely thumbs down for showing sites outside of Trastevere.
Didn’t know I was supposed to take a helicopter and drop in.
Wherever it is, no need to eat from the pan. It just looks pretentious.
I’m an equal-opportunity eater. If what I order is served in a Padella, so be it.
