Well… I love all the new bosses BUT we’re missing some of the best fights of the og (Beholder, Hydra, Cockatrice, Metal Golems) and seems like almost all Bitterblack enemies aren’t included either. Kinda bummed on that.
I think fleeing from like a Garm pack at night would be insanely fun and scary and it would add endgame stuff.

Hopefully in the future dlc will provide a more BBI type endgame if not I’ll be glad If we get to explore another land

Kinda bummer that the cockatrice, hydra and the senechal are not in this game hopefully dlc will have that.
Metal Golem and Beholder too! And like every Bitterblack boss but I wasn’t expecting them.
They show depictions of them on the death loading screen. Hydra, Manticore, and Lindwurm, all from previous games. I don’t know why they didn’t even attempt to put more boss types enemies when clearly the previous games had a variety of them.

@@Doodoovessel since the Gorgon and Sphinx are from Dragon's Dogma Online, add the Black Griffin and Bifrest (although i'd say a new variant of Cockatrice) to the list of monsters that need to be in the game.
@@Doodoovessel dragons dogma 1 had little variety of bosses before dark arisen came out, this is probably getting the same treatment since dragon princess dlc is on the horizon
It would be so awesome to see some turf wars between these monsters like in monster hunter.

As a fan of dark arisen for 12 years this game is honestly disappointing… still fun but not exactly a sequel
Had they made this an mmo or similar, it would have been much better.

Thats Itsuno making enemies , he did the same with DMC5 sadly, and for some reason the monsters are slower and less dangerous in the way the move in dd2 versus the forst game👀 the director of Dark Arisen was other person and he gave us fucking Daimon and the brutal 2nd form💪🌪️
Glad i didnt waste 70$. Bestiary is repetitive and uninspired. Feels more like a remake than a sequel. Will buy full edition on sale after dlc.

12 years and the best they could come up with was a lazy soulless remaster that doesnt even bring back all enemy types and is stuffed with microTX... I was expecting levels of quality and improvement found in DMC5, MHW, the RE remakes, Capcom can do it, why did they refuse to do a way better job on a long awaited 70 buck game?

@@cosocosofulis that a joke? What exactly did this game do better than the dark arisen because my idea of better is improve on or expand. Dragons dogma especially the first had these huge problems. The game was overall short, the game needed fast fast travel I do not care what the creator says. People will explore the world even if fast travel is implemented. All fast travel does is make people with busy life’s be able to play the game. At least dark arisen sorta of fixed that with a eternal ferrystone. Combat is toned down. Why in the world you reduce the overall skill slots to four when the last game had six? You can’t change your skills on the fly. How does it make sense we’re I can’t change something I learned in the pause menu.

This is way better than ending the game just with Grigori. Someone that was behind the cycle in a form of a cloak is the 2nd Dragon that gives it Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Luckily, it is not a 100 GB game, it is about 70 GB. Still big, but is Xbox One/PS4 level of big for all current gen consoles and PC. :)
Daimon is my guess! It lines up with the original of him ‘damning’ the role of the dragon and creating that shadowy dragon entity that later possesses him. This way he’s set up in main game without just appearing out of nowhere.
@@wr5488 But this is a better and more honest step to game development than throwing high resolution assets and textures around. The only thing that makes the price so absurd, is that it is only for the Xbox Series S and X, PS5 and PC.
Frame rates and crashes are fair criticisms, but complaining about the micro transactions when it doesn’t change the game at all, is seriously redundant if you stop the game at only the site of the micro transactions.
When there is a game with micro-transactions, it’s the player, not the content that makes the game better and Capcom has been consistent with hearing the words of the gamers. But the gamers are consistent in playing the game at firsthand and then critiquing the game for its build. You know what I mean?

Exactly, the first game was nice but had tons of room for improvement... and the "sequel" brought us nothing! What a massive disappointment, I was expecting a masterpiece such as Monster Hunter World or the RE remakes but no, a lame, uninspired "remake"

@@ekahaoho3909 I dont think it's the case here, Dragon's Dogma is a pretty niche game (I've been gaming since the 90's but only heard about it like a few years ago), the first one "only" sold 6mi copies after over a decade of being ported to almost every platform in existence.
I think they are relying on the small but absolutely fanatic fanbase that has double/triple/quadruple dipped on the first game and maybe a decent share of curious souls and Monster Hunter fans.
Either way it feels like they werent that confident in the "sequel" selling that well, which can explain why they played way too safely and did nothing exceptional..

Maybe they did this remake (its not really DD2)to introduce the game to new playerbase for whom the game is a new experience certainly.
Although if the game is still a success then we might see a part 3 with some new features.
But I am not really touching this game man. It clearly has nothing much to offer to older playerbase
@@ekahaoho3909 yes definitely both cases can apply here, but honestly I dont think the name Dragon's Dogma is an insta sell for most people like Resident Evil, Monster Hunter are. It has a very passionate fanbase yeah, but outside of that group, most people can't find the appeal of this game and I can't blame them, it tries to be and do way too many things, but can't compete with powerhouses in the RPG genre when it comes to story, role-playing, open world "content density", and its RPG aspects don't gel that well with the action/aRPG side of the game.
All of those mechanics, including pawn system must be hell to implement and balance properly, especially in an open world game, which makes me wish they didnt make the map 4x bigger but instead made better use of the map, they had nice ideas such as day/night cycle, post-game (or post Dragon) that changes the entire world, enemy type and placement, everfall, BBI.. They should expand on those things instead of just making the map bigger (more/bigger is not always better), made the combat more expansive and varied like it's the case with Nioh and DMC5, added way more enemy types and bosses, toned down the climb-to-hit-enemy-weakspot stuff (I honestly find it a very annoying and repetitive gimmick) and perhaps added optional coop..
Oh well, it's what it is, two massive disappointments in a single day lol (DD2 and Rise of the Ronin)

I see so many people complaining when they haven't even bought the damn game. As a player of the first game, honestly DD2 is a far better game in terms of game design and the enemy variety is exactly the same as the first, all the extra ones people keep mentioning are from the DLC, and the Everfall, that's it. Only things not here are the Hyrda, Cockatrice, and Metal Golems (glad they aren't in this one tbh). To all the people calling it soulless and "bad", idk what your problem is, but we can agree to disagree, I'm having a blast with it and almost 40 hours in, and haven't even fought any of the bosses yet, there's much more to this game than just boss fights.
@Ostrava_Of_Boletaria The first game was just constantly running back and forth across the damn map, like those stupid escort quests. DD2 is different, the world is much more alive, vibrant, full of fun fights and secrets I enjoy exploring. 70 hours in I've only been to half the map, whereas the first game I'd explored everything within the first 10-12 hours.
