The Granblue Fantasy Relink Demo just released which has a ton of fans excited. In that Granblue Fantasy Relink stream, they announced several other things outside of the Granblue Fantasy Relink Demo. So it doesn't get lost in translation we're going to discuss the new Granblue Fantasy Relink Raid Boss Lucilius and the other Granblue Fantasy Relink updates announced with the demo.

What mechanics do you expect to see in the Lucilius raid? If you played the mobile game how was this raid there?
Edit: the demo comes out at midnight for each region and now midnight JST for everyone like we initially thought. If it’s not out for you just check back tomorrow.
This raid is so hard, similar like they show in showcase, on first turn he will give you paradise lost with 30k white damage, he is very hard raid boss when he introduces and people love him so much, I wish in relink after 50% HP, he will change mode and give his self buff like in vs and browser game
His self buff after 50% is called seven trumpets, each trumpets has task and when you finish that task, the one by one trumpets buff is gone

you are doing raid with other 5 players (total 6 participant), also if the number of character died in total 6 (each player have 6 characters, so if any player's character died, there will be a counter reduction), the raid will be over (game over) and everyone will die after conduct attack.
Luci starting the fight with Paradise Lost and hitting the party for 40k damage right as his fight starts is straight from the original fight (granted it's 30k plain damage there), looks like Kat invulns it but in the original you just had to make sure you had enough HP to tank it when you were building your grids. The raid is pretty solved nowadays but I'm keen to see how they translate the rest of the mechanics over to relink
Get ready to see Goph wipes cause people are trying to bring the same character kekw

What's fun is in the footage against the windwyrm where it uses its Overdrive attack. Djeeta used Phalanx (reduces damage received) and Substitute (damage to allies gets redirected to the caster) to protect the party which is exciting coz we can build into various roles.
I miss the time when i use phalanx sticker as bounty hunter
Lucilius is like Sephiroth and Hojo combined. He was so dangerous that his greatest creation, Lucifer ultimately killed him knowing the madness he brought.
Lucilius the Fallen Apocalyptic Archangel is a monster of a boss to tackle
Lore: an Astral that denied the viewpoints of gods choices of creatures to live conducts a plan to wipe out all of existence till it's an empty void aka cause the Apocalypse (from the side story of GBF What makes the Sky Blue 000)
Gameplay: he doesn't need to swing his swords when it has a mind of its own yet bind to his will, and that starting attack that he does is Paradise Lost (his signature attack) in every single iteration of this character he always starts it at the beginning of the fight or if the timer runs out it's an instant wipe
Overall I am both trembling from the challenge and hyped to see him in this version, Lets hope Sandy shows up for the rescue😅

Is all of the coop content these kinds of Arena fights or are there actual quest lines or something similar to the campaign mission from the demo?
And can you switch characters mid mission when playing solo?

From the demo I tested, the coop contents are not in the main story questline but more so like side quest. And you can select which character you want to play with before going into the quest, not during the quest
Do i need the second edition for the all the character colors or is it just the pre order bonus?
Second edition gives u 2 and 3 colors and the more expensive gives u 1 but it may just be worth getting the second edition

It's kinda of cool how they give us lucilius sword just for pre-ordering the game makes me wonder is it going to be worth keeping.
From what I am understanding. The blade is to carry you through early game. So, personally I wont be using it.

im only buying if this game is intended to be updated for a little while. The raids look amazing. The art style I've always wanted to give a try. The combat looks amazing. I just have a hard time buying games I know will eventually end and seeing end game content and raids gives me lil hope where i can possibly play this game for awhile and if they are updating it and giving us cool end game stuff and more weapons and things like every 2-3 months then yes i'll be getting.

you probably figured it out by now but
if this is referring to the stuff for the mobile game, the answer is no. no "free" stuff for mobile players unless they play the playstation version. theyve done this with versus before, and i cant exactly blame them. not all the stuff is tied to actually playing and/or finishing content in game, so alot of people would just buy, redeem code, ask for steam refund, and so get stuff for free which wasnt meant to be free

The UI and damage numbers appear excessively large. I hope there's an option on PC to customize and reduce their sizes.

I hate staged release of content. I mean extra content is good, especially for the long run. But I absolutely abhor the cycle of putting down a game after I've completely everything and had my fill... then picking it up again a month later... and repeat. People are gonna say "you don't haavvvve to play it" Yes but then I feel like I'm missing out and I hate myself for that too.
