@@mikec3820 I've used a cocktail of BT, spinosad and azatrol with a bit of molasses as a wetting agent for years. The three work in concert and hit several instars of most insect species and take most things out in one application. Just mix per instructions for each and to be safe reapply in 2-3 weeks. Works as foliar spray and soil drench for gnats, mites......
Dude. You know your shit. Most people don't know a lot of this, especially people new to the activity. I seem to be able to grow about anything, I have a gift. I know so many people that kill every green thing. I help those that may need it, I'm thankful for folks like you who have things to teach me. I surely appreciate both of you.
I grow in the middle of Maine. Up north you gotta have the right strains. 6-8week flower. Look for fast flowering strains. Use ativonate every week. Crab shell meal in your soil will help with aphids n other pests. Sweet seeds has a bunch of fast strains n original sensible seeds have fast flower photo/auto hybrids. It's gotta be done my mid to end September or you playing with fire/frost n rain
What's available to you.... So, in March, I noted how black the native soil by a creek was....checked it in May, and it was replete with worms..... So I took a bag mystery seed I had.....sprouted it, hardened it, and stuck it straight into the native soil. No amendments, no supplemental watering, sprayed with neem every two weeks (no pests sighted) The trunk is 5 inches thick now....I haven't done a thing except train down the branches. It's only 3 feet off the ground, but occupies a 7x7 area. Just started flowering last week....considering nutes, but she's been mostly unattended and may just let her run the way she wants
This summer has been great so far this year can't wait to see my hard work rolled up and ready to be lit loving this Rude Dog. Much respect from Oregon. As for pests I've been using that lost coat so far it's been great.

Something a lot of people are miss interpreting is nitrogen fixing cover crops like clover and alfalfa. It does NOT fix nitrogen as it’s growing into the soil at all , it accumulates nitrogen in the tissues and when a certain bacteria is present in the soil the roots create nodules that the nitrogen is stored in , when your growing grass or clover as a cover crop it’s robbing nutrients from the plant , the nitrogen gets released when the nitrogen fixing plants are grown and at the end of their life cycle tilled under the soil and once the bacteria and fungus break down the plant tissues THEN the nitrogen is released into the soil, you don’t see corn fields full of clover weeds do you .....NO , that’s why corn farmers will grow corn crops then in the corn off season grow a nitrogen fixing crop like clover or soy beans ( any plant in the fabaceae or legumes family of plants are nitrogen fixers ) like beans , fava beans , peas , mesquite, but DO NOT ACTIVELY FIX NITROGEN, don’t believe me do your own research , if you wanna fix nitrogen into your growing medium do it in the winter then till it under and allow it to break down for a while before you plant the herb , I’m so sick of all these stoners spreading miss information and it’s funny to watch how confined they are about what they think they know , but hey don’t listen to Me I only studied botany through out my school life not just weed growing 😂
So much good information I love your videos! Thank you! I just started my first grow from seed and I’m trying to learn anything I can… so about organic soil you can add so many natural things… aloe Vera is amazing!! I’ve been using it as foliar spray but you must use it within 15 mins of mixing with water…and just found out about coconut water!! I’ll try it! The knowledge……endless…. Keep up the amazing job your doing awesome Chris! Peace ✌🏼
Do you look for seed with descriptions that say "mold resistant " ? One I purchased definitely has less issues than some of the other strains I'm working with. Newbie here.
@@elisabethwhetstone4420 research strains as much as you can, particularly for your region. Indica is imo more resistant then sativas. I like blue berry strain for outdoor. You get great guests, thanks for doing this show for us. Be sure your pepper seeds aren't too cold if they're inside. its the Dude!. just got a recharge sample. not sure the best way to use in my multi flow systems res tho. not much info to find about it in my application. thanks mr growit dude and everyone
Guru and Scotty Real said the don't recommend putting recharge in you res but instead to top water it in separately only because the longer recharge sits in water the more unnecessary microbes develop that might harm your plant
@@themagatent6563 thanks. yeah just read about it on the only place i found it (DGC web site) my system uses 1/2 tubes and big pumps in a 20 gallon res and the control bucket. i only added one small sample pack of recharge. figure ill let it flood and drain for a day or so then do my regular water change.. might not have any gunking issues with such a light dose.
The MAGA Tent i would agree with you, i run both hydro and organic cause I’m weird but in my hydro run recharge works best if sprayed on the roots directly! Trust me the microbes won’t wash way into the system but nuzzle into your plants roots and never leave once they make contact! Once you have lots on new growth feel free to spray the roots again!
I've done the 45* tie-down method and had good experiences. 👍 One "clarification" ; I pull that stalk back away from the sun ( north, in the northern hemisphere) so as to expose the lower branches to more light. I've had mixed results when doing this on a east west axis, and bad results pulling it more south
The last 4 summers here in the pacific northwest what I've been doing is get a couple nice girls decent sized in 5gal. Fabric pot. Start putting them in my dark garage at 630pm and take back out at 10 when it's dark. If you start this around last week of June you have some nice bud chalked ladies end of August when summer is still raging here in the northwest. This beats the crappy weather we get here starting in September.
I started seven plants from an unknown strain of Jamaican Ganga. Three kept in the tent were straight up males. The three moved into the garden were hermies. The one plant left in a three gallon fabric pot sitting in the garden seems to be all female (so far). This was the runt of the grow….yellow green leaves/most attacked by bugs (holes in the veg leaves) and slow growth. Who knew?
I have alot of growing outdoors and indoors years of experience. Variety matters, autos are great, looking for shorter flowering strains is important, outdoors thinning the leaves out is super important, around harvest time if u are doing photoperiods if its rainy as October is normally rainny where i live sometimes i have to harvest early, some cover like a coldframe greenhouse is great but really just rain covers is best as airflow so important. My pest/disease prevention is neem, sulfur, hydrogen peroxide, every week. I also do a tea once a week and foiler spray once every 2 weeks, my soil is no tilling, straw compost/ cow/sheep manure at the end of the year. My teas and top dressing are gaia green 444 and bloom, frass, mycorrhizae, worm casting, kelp, molasses i will top dress q 3 weeks with this or parts of it and tea once a week
Chris peppers can take a pretty long time to germinate, id put then in another plants pot that gets watered regularly and just transplant when they decide to pop up. Dedication to the community respect! Guys
Use chicken manure compost in the bag it has microbes also, or if raw let sit for a yr, its a hot material fresh, chicken compost is the best compost according to all farmers...

the biggest challenge and skill to have for out doors is versatility and adaptability because no 2 outdoor seasons are the same.

Throw a few sunflowers in to support your tomatoes. It works well for my friend, allegedly.
