Chidi and Eleanor is the definition of soulmates, no matter what universe or whatever happens, they will always find eachother, and they make eachother better: Chdi helps Eleanor become a moral and kinder person while Eleanor helps Chidi become better at making choices.
The thing that i find really smart about their relationship is that the question "do soulmates really exist" remains unanswered, so we the audience have to think ourselves if they're soulmates or just a great couple

I relate to Chidi so much. Because of my autism and ADD I struggle to make decisions. Okay, nowhere near as bad as Chidi, but I like to see my anxiety reflected in another character. He and I experience anxiety over the exact same things.

The funniest thing is, while I can't attest to this tarantula squid, the albino python is the chillest pet ever. It's the peaceful puppy equivalent of snakes.
I was so happy when Chidi and her got together even if it didn't last forever. Eleanor got to know what love was and Chidi got the confidence and strength to be assertive. Wish I had a woman like Eleanor who loved me so. xd

They just keep explaining everything away
Ok, I don't want to be a party pooper, but they had hundreds of reboots, and they feel in love in just one, wouldn't it be more meaningful if the loved each other in more reboots? I mean one, only one
First of all, Michael or any devil doesn't know everything that happens in the neighbourhood. He only got to know the first time because Chidi and Eleanor themself confessed that they were serious about their relationship. I bet before this Reboot 119, he didn't even know that Eleanor was capable of falling in love. Yes, Michael allowed relationship for torturing purpose but for him he never thought it would escalate in love in any of our 4 humans lives. Time is also a factor, The longest reboot lasted for 11 months. And not to forget, there WERE many reboots where Eleanor and Chidi were not even soulmates. So it would've taken some time for the transition to teacher-student relationship to friendship and eventually love. Most people take even longer time to say the L word.
We know at least twice, the final reboot before back to earth and the one where they say I love you. Mindy also said they were at least romantically/sexually involved six of the times they visited her. Michael is an unreliable narrator because he doesn't know everything that goes on. Remember, he had no idea about Janet and Jason until he was told, or Jason and Tahani.
